Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Generative AI was used for in-game graphics.
AI coding tools help write and maintain the game's plugin code, and parts of the in-game text like NPC combinatorial string banks and translations were written with AI assistance, all being reviewed manully by the developer.
AI is used to assist with programming, graphics creation and translations.
Generative AI tools were used in the development of this game solely to assist with writing and editing text: in-game interface strings and descriptions, their localization into all supported languages, and the text of the game's Steam store page. Every such text was reviewed and edited by a human before publication. The game contains no AI-generated art, audio, music or gameplay content. All artwork was drawn by hand and all sound effects come from licensed libraries. No generative AI runs in the game at runtime.
This game was developed with Claude and the assistance of advanced AI tools.
Generative AI may be used to assist with localization. All final text is reviewed and edited by the developer.
AI was used for code, art, and text translation.
Generative AI tools were used during development to create and refine some pre-generated artwork, icons, audio, text and localization, and marketing imagery. All such content was reviewed and curated by the developer. No AI-generated content is created during gameplay.
Parts of this game were made with the help of generative AI tools: - 3,928 of the 6,608 character portraits were created with generative AI tools and then selected and retouched by a person. The other 2,404 are historical images from public archives such as Wikimedia Commons, and 276 reuse an existing picture. - The title-screen key art was created with generative AI. - The character biographies and historical event texts were written with the assistance of generative AI, based on historical sources, and edited by the developer. - The English, Japanese and Traditional Chinese translations were produced with the assistance of generative AI. No content is generated by AI while the game is running.
Game text and translations were created with the help of AI tools. The public build has no AI voices; it has no voice acting yet. The art is not made with generative AI: it comes from free CC0 asset packs plus shapes and textures built in code. Sound effects are synthesized by our own scripts. Nothing is generated by AI while you play.
This product contains pre-generated content created with the assistance of generative AI tools during development. AI-assisted content includes selected 2D artwork, character portraits, unit illustrations, decorative interface imagery, trailer and store artwork, portions of the soundtrack, and some player-facing descriptive or localization text. All AI-assisted content was reviewed and edited by the developer and is fixed before release. The game does not generate text, images, audio, or any other content using generative AI while it is running. Computer-controlled opponents and procedural simulation systems use conventional game logic, not generative AI.

The character portraits, the menu backdrop and the store art were generated with AI image tools in one fixed illustration style, then chosen and checked by the developer. Nothing is generated while you play.
This game includes AI-generated content created during development. Character portraits, illustrations and store artwork were generated with an image model and curated by the developer. Background music was generated with Google Lyria and contains SynthID watermarking. Translations were produced with AI assistance. No AI content is generated while you play.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist in creating pre-generated content included in the game and its Steam store presence. This includes selected in-game UI icons, unit and building artwork, other visual assets, Steam capsule and library artwork, promotional/store graphics, and AI-assisted localization and translated text. All AI-assisted content is pre-generated, reviewed, and manually selected by the developer before inclusion. The game does not use generative AI to generate content or code during gameplay and does not connect to external generative AI services while running.
Used in simple artwork, NPC chat systems, tactical realism systems, enhanced system design, economy management, debugging and design assistance.
AstralX uses generative AI only for some 2D illustrative images, primarily certain biome visuals and depictions of some races/species. The game contains well over 1,000 such visual elements, which is why generative AI was used to assist with part of this 2D artwork. Generative AI is not used for the game's simulation, mathematical calculations, gameplay rules, mechanics, or underlying systems. These elements were designed and developed manually by the developer. 3D content is also not generated using AI. The music was composed manually and performed by a real pianist. The sound design was likewise created through traditional human production rather than generative AI. No generative AI is used dynamically during gameplay.
Sprites and backgrounds were produced using AI. All voice acting, translation, music, and everything else was done by humans.
This game uses Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create Localization based text and In-game Sound Effects (sfx). Disclosure is part of Magnus et Epicus LLC commitment on AI free use for all.

Generative AI was used during development to assist with programming and the creation of some visual assets. AI-generated and AI-assisted content may be included in the final game.
This game uses generative AI tools in production, under human direction. Part of the 2D art (characters, backgrounds, icons, interface) and part of the text go through these tools, always from direction, references and rules I define, and always reviewed, corrected and approved piece by piece before entering the game. Other art and text in the game were made by hand. All decisions about story, script, scene design, mechanics and art direction are mine. The game has no voice acting, and no AI-generated voice. Nothing is generated while you play: everything the game shows is a fixed file in the package.
Some in-game art assets are AI-generated.
Diplomacy, or Else! was built with AI-assisted development. Generative AI was used, under the developer's direction and review, for game code and for writing text: interface strings, the in-game diplomacy word tables, achievement names and descriptions, and this store page, including their German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Ukrainian translations. The soundtrack was produced with an AI music tool and edited by the developer. Artwork, icons, the trailer and sound effects were made without generative AI. The game does not generate content during play and does not connect to any AI service.

Some pre-generated static 2D visual assets were created with OpenAI image generation tools, including key art, fictional character portraits, historical event illustrations, map icons, and artwork used to derive store capsules. The developer selected, reviewed, edited, cropped, typeset, and integrated the final assets. Generated images contain no embedded title text; the Chinese and English logos are separately typeset using a licensed font. The game does not generate content with AI while it is running.

AI assistance was used in the development of this game. Players are strongly advised to play using mainstream free "flash" AI APIs such as Agnes API or Qwen API — simply fill in your API information in the game settings. For the sake of speed, enabling thinking mode is not recommended. This game contains optional generative AI features. In “AI-Enhanced Narrative Mode”, the game calls the third-party LLM API you provide yourself, generating more immersive event text in real time as you play. This mode is entirely optional: even without connecting any API, you can still fully experience all of the built-in, human-written historical content and the core gameplay. The game will not use your gameplay data to train any models. All AI-generated content is controlled by your own API key and quota, and you are responsible for your own usage.

All such AI-assisted or AI-imitated artwork has been created with the consent of the original creator (which essentially means I fed my own drawings into the AI). All other content, including text, audio, and other materials, was produced without any AI involvement.
AI assisted coding
Generative AI tools are used during development to assist with selected art production and localization. All AI-assisted outputs are reviewed, edited, and approved by the development team before being integrated into the game. The game does not use generative AI at runtime, and no content is generated live or delivered directly to players as unreviewed AI output.
