The Stars Are Never StillSteamGenerative AI was used to assist in the creation of some 2D art assets.
UFO SurvivalSteamImages, and some sounds are generated via ai.
Below the CrustSteamThe images currently used on the Steam store page, including the capsule art, were generated using AI. All of these images will be replaced with final, original artwork when the game demo is released. No AI-generated assets are used in the game itself.
Odyssée Stellaire 2SteamSome of the game's artwork — environments, ships, collectible objects — was created with the help of generative AI tools, then reworked, cropped and integrated by hand by the developer.
深空放置:边疆纪元SteamSome store artwork and marketing materials were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. These are pre-generated static assets; no AI content is generated in real time during gameplay.
NucleoSyntheticaSteamGenerative AI was solely utilized to create the 2D background artwork for the main menu screen.
Solar ImperiumSteamAI tools were used to help create some in game assets. In all such cases, the final product reflects our team’s craft and creative vision.
Starport TycoonSteamSome of the game’s visual assets were created with the assistance of AI tools. All music featured in the game was created by human artists and is not AI-generated.
AstravekSteamThis game uses generative AI in a limited capacity on the game server in real time. The AI is used solely to generate narrative text: mission names and descriptions, in-world news broadcasts, and some NPC dialogue. All game logic — including mission mechanics, rewards, and balance — is governed by deterministic code and is never decided by AI. If the AI service is unavailable, the game automatically falls back to pre-written text templates. Portions of imagery were produced with the assistance of generative AI.
Last Exit Diner: Edge of Known SpaceSteamAll pre-rendered visual artwork was created using generative AI under developer direction. This includes environment backgrounds, interface and menu artwork, branding, icons, and promotional/title-card images.
BIG BANG TO USSteamGenerative AI tools were used during the development process to assist with writing script dialogues and to generate background music and songs for the game. All AI assets were pre-generated prior to release, and no AI content is generated in real time during gameplay.
AstrolanderSteamGenerative AI was used as an assistive tool during the development of ASTROLANDER. It helped accelerate certain prototyping phases, explore concept art ideas, and experiment with programming solutions. All assets integrated into the game were modified or recreated by the developer to align with the project's art direction and gameplay.
无人放置SteamUsing AI to generate promotional images
VOID CLICKER: Infinite PrestigeSteamTowards the end of development, we used modern tools to find bugs faster and further improve the player experience. Some graphics are still temporary and will be replaced with original artwork before the full release. These tools will continue to support testing, bug hunting, and technical optimization.
Offworlders: Galactic VenturesSteamGenerative artificial intelligence was used to generate some marketing materials such as capsule art as well as some icons.
Become BlackholeSteamWe use generative AI to create promotional artwork only. The store capsules, library assets, and page background were generated with an image model using our own gameplay captures and in-house masters as the only references.
PLANETOONSteamGenerative AI tools were used during development (coding assistance). No content is generated at runtime.
CubersumSteamGenerative AI was used to create of the music included in the game, as well as marketing and promotional materials for Steam. AI tools were also used for programming and development. There is no AI used in the gameplay - no content is dynamically generated.
SpaceDaramSteamGenerative AI tools were used to assist with some graphics and audio content.
TERRA: 地表逻辑SteamAll simulation, art, audio and text in Terra Logic are hand-made — the game ships with no AI-generated content and makes no network requests by default. One optional feature can generate text at runtime: the "whisper" narrator, a single one-line ambient caption. By default it composes lines from a built-in, hand-written phrase library. Players who supply their own Anthropic (Claude) API key in a local config file may enable AI-generated phrasing for that one caption line; without a key the AI path is fully inactive. AI output never affects simulation, gameplay, art, audio, or any other text.
Space TravelersSteamSpace Travelers uses generative AI only as a writing aid during development. The game's text content (interface text, event and log lines) and its localization into the 14 supported interface languages were produced with the assistance of large language models, directed and reviewed by the developer. Parts of this store page were drafted the same way. No AI-generated images, audio or video are used: all artwork, animation and sound in the game are produced by hand-written procedural code. The game does not generate any content with AI while you play, and it never connects to an external AI service.
DOG LIVES: Space Pirates WarSteamThis game makes limited, supplementary use of generative AI tools during development. The primary uses are programming assistance (such as debugging), certain image and audio assets, and assistance with translating text into English. Generated image and audio assets are not used as-is. The development team reviews their content and makes additions, revisions, edits, and other adjustments to ensure that they are appropriately refined and fit the game. For text translated with the assistance of generative AI, the development team reviews the context and content and makes any necessary revisions before using it in the game. Please note that generative AI does not generate any game content during gameplay.
Stellar CourierSteamI used AI as coding assistant and for generating voiceovers.
星海余烬:联合舰队SteamSkill icons, character portraits, and similar assets were generated using AI. All other content was created manually.
Industry UnboundSteamIndustry Unbound includes a limited number of pre-generated visual assets created with the assistance of generative AI. Each asset was selected, reviewed, and edited by the developer before release. Generative AI is not used to generate content in real time during gameplay.
StarWorksSteamThe game's surface textures — the colour and relief maps applied to parts, buildings, terrain and visual effects — and its sound effects were created with generative AI tools during development. They are generated ahead of time, reviewed and integrated by hand, and ship with the game as ordinary image and audio files. Nothing is generated while you play, and the game never connects to an AI service. The simulation itself — orbital mechanics, aerodynamics, the production chains — is written by hand.
Second StageSteamAll AI involvement is pre-generated and human-reviewed: nothing is generated while you play, the game runs no AI models, and it never sends your data anywhere.
Admirals of OphiuchusSteamGenerative AI was not used to create any gameplay visual nor sound asset. The only generated asset is the enhanced game logo (the game name).
HighscoreSteamThe game's software architecture, logic scripts, and localization texts were drafted and optimized during the development process with the assistance of Rosebud AI. All assets, graphics, and code within the final application package are static, pre-rendered, and permanently compiled. No live or real-time AI generation occurs during gameplay, and the application does not connect to any external AI services.
Bugs. Billions of Bugs.SteamBugs. Billions of Bugs. features artwork developed with generative AI.
Broken OrbitsSteamSome graphical assets and sounds.
FreewakeSteamGenerative AI tools were used during development to assist with visual artwork and programming. All AI-assisted outputs were reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer before inclusion in the game. No generative AI content is created during gameplay.
AVIKSteamAI was used to create references and/or original textures and sounds.
Galactic Simulator 3SteamAI generates a few images and icons, reviewed manually.
4096 Space Traders EraSteamCovers and logo have been designed using AI
Space Trader CorpsSteamStorefront art/capsules created with assistance from AI generation tools.
MANIFESTSteamManifest uses AI for coding and improving prose for events.
BaryumSteamGenerative AI was used during development to assist with programming and to help produce some 3D models and logo artwork, all reviewed and integrated by the developer. No AI runs while you play: the game is fully offline and generates no content at runtime.
Cosmic AscentSteamSome visual assets, branding exploration, and first-pass localization drafts were created or assisted with generative AI tools. All content is reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer before being included in the game or store materials. The game does not generate AI content in real time during gameplay.
Benders In SpaceSteamAI was used during development to help with visual and sound effects.
Incremental Space SandboxSteamI'm a solo developer; AI was used during development to translate the game into various languages.
Epic Space BattlesSteamGenerative AI tools were used during development to assist with the creation and iteration of some game assets and development code. AI-assisted content included in the final game is pre-generated and reviewed by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay.
Banshee ProtocolSteamLocalization, some descriptions
Space IndustrySteamGenerative AI was used to help create certain visual assets and promotional materials. Originally hand-drawn building graphics were processed with AI tools to increase detail and were subsequently manually edited.
Zorehrai: Space FormationsSteamSome images in the current version were created with the assistance of generative AI. These assets are planned to be replaced with original artwork during development.
StarlatheSteamSome artwork (ship, station and environment sprites, icons) and sound effects were created using generative AI tools during development, then curated and hand-edited by the developer. All AI-generated content was reviewed before inclusion.
Star Corsairs: Fractured FrontierSteamI'm not a professional game developer or artist. Making my own game had been a dream for years, but I never knew how to turn that dream into reality. Generative AI became the tool that finally made it possible. With its help, I created many of the game's visual and audio assets, including item, UI, skill, and module icons, character portraits, ships, space stations, backgrounds, the game icon, the Steam store artwork, and some of the sound effects. It also assisted me with programming. But Star Corsairs is not a game that AI simply generated. Every asset was reviewed, rejected, refined, or replaced until it matched the vision I had in mind. Every gameplay system was designed, tested, and reworked repeatedly until it felt right. The economy, ship balance, pirate AI, combat, and progression were all shaped through countless hours of playtesting and manual iteration. The story, world, and all of the writing were created by me. Without generative AI, this game would probably never have existed. But without the countless creative decisions, revisions, and work behind every part of it, Star Corsairs wouldn't exist either.
SPINDLEDRIFTSteamThe pixel art was generated with PixelLab. The music was generated with Suno on a paid plan. I wrote the prompts, picked what worked, and threw out what didn't. The game itself, the economy, the systems, the design, the words on screen, I built. Nothing is generated while the game runs. Everything ships as files. There are no AI calls at play time, no AI voice, and no chatbots.
Belt ZeroSteamSome of the content shipping with this game was created using generative AI: • Images: the title/loading screen, the store graphics (capsules) and the five faction portraits were generated with an image AI. • Audio: the title music, intro music, sector music tracks and the sound effects were created with AI tools. • Text: the store description was drafted with AI assistance. All of this content was selected, reviewed and integrated by hand. Not AI-generated: the 3D world, the ships, stations and effects — those are built procedurally and in Blender. The source code was developed with AI assistance; we mention this for completeness, even though development tools are exempt from disclosure.
Sidebar StarshipSteamMost 2D art in this game — ships, enemies, bosses, icons and badges — was first created with AI image tools, then selected, edited and finalised by the developer. No AI is used during gameplay.
