Assistance in game coding as well as generating artistic concepts for character creation.
Cursor assistance for programming, some textures generated with ML
We use AI for both development and creative support. Assets generated by both AI and humans are collaboratively refined by AI and humans before being used in the game.
We mainly used AI for the player voice and some sound effects. It was also used for certain textures and provided assistance during coding.
Our game uses generative AI during the development phase to create pre-rendered content including maps (using a Large Language Model) and code generation (using Claude AI). This content is finalized before release and included in the game and its marketing assets. We ensure all AI-generated content complies with copyright laws and Steam’s guidelines, and does not contain any infringing or inappropriate material. The game does not use AI to generate any content or code live during gameplay. All AI-generated elements are pre-rendered before release. We comply with Steam’s standards distinguishing pre-rendered and live-generated AI content.
We use generative AI content for programming code, as well as for certain assets such as image backgrounds and effects.
Some parts of the code and images are created using AI.
This game uses generative artificial intelligence in a limited capacity to create some user interface images and visual elements for the narrative videos. AI was also used to support the writing of certain code snippets during development. No AI-generated content was used directly; everything was modified and adapted to integrate seamlessly with the game's visual and technical style. The 3D models, most of the code, and the overall design were developed manually by the team.
This game does not contain any AI-generated visual or audio assets. I only used AI as a tool for: - Brainstorming and idea generation - Assistance with translations and wording - Improvements to certain code sections and algorithms
We use Generative AI as an assistive tool during the development process. Its primary uses are for code debugging, refactoring, and optimization, similar to a code assistant. We also use it as a creative sounding board to brainstorm and refine game design ideas. No art, music, sound, or in-game text assets that are directly visible or audible to the player have been generated by AI. All final game assets are created by the developer.
AI was used ONLY to assist with programming.
Some code.
Game code & Announcer voices
To speed up product production and gain technical support, we enlisted the help of some AIs to write some of the program's code. However, no AI currently has the capacity to complete such a project from start to finish. To speed up our work process and create a more optimized program with cleaner code, we requested assistance at certain points and tasked them with creating the program's cover art. That's all.

Development of Visual Assets: For the original sprites (game characters/objects) designed and drawn by our team, AI support was utilized in the time-consuming stages such as coloring and shading. This allowed us to accelerate the process and experiment with different color palettes. AI was used strictly as a tool for editing and enhancing the existing artwork. Software Development Support: During the coding phase, AI-based code assistants were occasionally consulted to help solve specific algorithmic challenges, optimize existing code blocks, and overcome debugging difficulties. We would like to emphasize that AI has only been employed as a source of inspiration and a productivity aid throughout these processes. All final visual and code assets included in the game have been reviewed, adjusted, and approved by our team. No AI-generated content is produced in real time during gameplay.
Some code, assets, and music are AI-assisted.
Some visual assets and coding were assisted with AI tools, while all gameplay design and balancing were created by hand. Enemy behavior is powered by traditional game AI, making each run unpredictable and dynamic.
AI tools used during development are used for generating some textures like faces of the characters, Voice generators for converting speaking style to appropriate and animations from mixamo for better experience of physics of the characters. Code generation tools are used to fix and analyze parts of code to provide simpleness and make development faster to deliver more products and assets.
AI was used for image generation and parts of the source code.
I used AI to some graphics in my game, and I use a little bit of AI to help me code complex calculations. But 90% of it is made by me 😊
AI was used in the production. We used ai for some coding.
The code for this game has been written with the aid of AI. Some of the images you will se have been modified with ai.
Ai was used as part of the process to generate screenshots, logos and visual assets used in the store as images as well as for art assets visible within the application at runtime. During development and coding, AI was used to generate, modify and review code in the integrated development environment.
AI was used to aid in writing code for the game. Some in-game icons were generated using AI.
Artificial Intelligence was used during the development process in the following ways : • Writing and optimizing some of the game's scripts and code logic • Generating some of the graphical assets used for the Steam Store page and the Steam Library (capsules, banners, and backgrounds) and 2 assets in game.
I’m a solo developer, and I use generative AI as a creative tool to help bring the game to life, from text, images, or music to bits of code. Every piece of AI-generated content is carefully reviewed, edited, and refined by me to fit the game’s vision. This helps me create more content, add variety, and make a better, more immersive experience for players. <3

AI utilized for graphics creation and coding assistance.
AI has been used occasionally to assist with coding and, more rarely, for refining visual elements. However, the vast majority of the game has been developed without the use of AI.
As an independent developer, I generated code, 3D models, and textures using AI-based programs.
This game was created by a person with no experience in game development, with artificial intelligence acting as a library and assistant
AI is a narrative theme, and AI was used as a coding resource. However, no AI was used in the creation of the art, music, or dialogue.
In the game, AI tools were used to assist in completing the code and drawing work, and most of the content generated by AI was manually reworked in the later stage.
Generative AI was used to assist in the coding of this game only. All artwork, level design, game sounds and music are 100% human-made.
During development, we mainly used it to generate and complete code. We also used it to improve work efficiency by proofreading some text and converting images to black and white for verification.
two image templates, coding assistance
This game used AI-assisted tools during development (for code suggestions and some asset creation/editing). No AI-generated code or content is produced at runtime.
Some code of the game, namely the warp door system, some internal timers, enemy logic in Level 3-4, and setting and name displays, was written by me, fed through AI, and then manually edited. No graphics or music were Ai-generated.
Some AI-generated assets are currently used as placeholders. These will be replaced with human-made assets before release.
Some textures are made with AI. Text translations are made with AI. Code is written with AI.
Part of the game code uses output generated by AI. The in-game background music is generated using Udio.
I have used AI to pre-render content. I have used AI to make some of the code that I use in the game. Such that AI has helped me make the best possible CPU and help with player physics.
During development, we used AI-assisted tools to improve some code and autocomplete features to write parts of non-core code.We use AI-assisted translation in our localization workflow; all final text is human-reviewed and edited.
SOME AI was used for programming and artwork. ...I'M SOWWEEYY IM SO SOWRREEY.
AI has been used in this product for rendering certain graphical assets and writing gameplay code/narrative elements.
LLM was used when writing the code and translating the game.
We use AI for some code implementation, as well as for minor asset and SFX additions
As a one-person indie dev on a small island, with a clear idea, some programming skillz, minimal artistic talent, and practically zero funding, using AI has helped me actually to finish developing Lightyears of Fervent Warfare. I started developing LoFW during COVID-19, when I began learning game development as a hobby during Seychelles' lockdown. I had coded my MSc project in C# and was able to code everything by hand. I was even able to design the pixel graphics on my own. Then COVID-19 ended, life continued, and LoFW was left in the dust. This year, I experimented with the Cursor and Midjourney AIs and discovered that I could leverage them to continue developing my game part-time. Using Cursor to modify my existing code and generate new code via vibe coding helped me implement features quickly. This gave me the time to focus on the actual game design, the feature set, and testing. And while I still work on most of the pixel graphics by hand, using Midjourney to generate more complex graphics has helped me save time and resources that I don't yet have. Sure, using AI still takes time; I can be pedantic and tend to modify and optimise everything manually. Chastising AIs, reviewing code, and doing manual edits to the graphics are now part of my workflow. AI shenanigans notwithstanding, I do hope that you'll support my game!
