Generative AI is used to create some transport announcement audio and to assist with writing store page descriptions.
Generative AI was used to create some artwork and UI assets, summoning animation videos, and background music. Details of the tools used are listed under Settings > Credits in the game. During gameplay, AI running on your PC uses the true name and essence you enter to generate Textus data, including abilities and moves, as well as artwork. Generated results may vary. Depending on the outcome of the safety check, a placeholder explaining why the artwork is unavailable may appear instead of the generated image. The Textus's abilities and moves remain usable.
We used AI to create some of the music and translations.
AI was used to assist with the localization of some language versions. The translations were reviewed by the developer through proofreading and back-translation checks. AI-generated images were used as composition references during the creation of a small number of CG illustrations. The image generation was based on the developer's own original hand-drawn character illustrations, provided as input references. All final character illustrations, CG illustrations, and other art assets were drawn entirely by hand. All characters are original designs.
Some assets in this game were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. All AI-assisted assets were reviewed, edited, and integrated into the game by our team.

Atomica's translations into the thirteen languages other than English were made by an AI language model and have not yet been reviewed by native speakers. Much of the game's code and the store text were written with AI assistance. Nothing else is AI-generated. The cell is assembled by ordinary procedural code, not machine learning, from real data: Scripps Research's cellPACK model of Mycoplasma genitalium, protein structures from the Protein Data Bank (PDB), and ligands from the wwPDB Chemical Component Dictionary (CCD). The sounds are synthesized from the cell's real activity, and the store images are in-game screenshots.
Parts of this store page, as well as certain code elements of the game, were created with the assistance of AI tools. These tools helped speed up development and improve clarity, while all creative direction, design choices, and final implementation remain in the hands of the developer.

Explanation about the game development process: In the early concept design and creative ideation stage of this game, we did use AI technology as an auxiliary tool to help us explore and validate various artistic styles and creative directions more quickly. These AI-generated reference materials provided us with initial inspiration. However, the core creative concepts, story writing, character design, and all artistic assets presented in the final game were personally conceived and carefully crafted by our creative team. Each game element underwent repeated human optimization and fine-tuning to ensure the best gaming experience. AI was only used as an auxiliary tool, and the final game content presented is the result of human creation. We have always adhered to human creation as the main driver, committed to bringing players a unique and meticulously polished gaming experience.
AI tools were used to translate the store page text and some localizations. All in-game art, 3D models, animations, music and sound effects are not AI-generated.
ZANOKA is made by a solo developer. All of its art began as hand-made drawings, sketches and pixel art, including concept art by artist Malaika Raheel. AI-assisted tools were used for polishing, frame interpolation and translation.

The key art, story illustrations, kingdom portraits, music, opening film, menu video and its narration were produced with generative AI tools (Ideogram, Lyria, Seedance, Kling and ElevenLabs, through Artlist) and then selected, edited and assembled by the developer. The 3D map, units and buildings are procedural low-poly models built in code, and the sound effects are synthesised in the game. The game was written with the help of an AI coding assistant. No content is generated while the game is running; everything is pre-generated and shipped in the build. No real people's likenesses or voices are used.

This game uses generative AI tools during development to assist with the following content: text translation, sound effects, and background artwork assets
NBD2 is an AI game development studio. As a solo indie dev who is unlikely to ever make a dime from any of my games, there's no other way I could bring my ideas to life. Pop 1,000,000 Hot Air Balloons was created using generative AI throughout development, including its artwork and visuals, store artwork, music, sound effects, player-facing text, and game code. All AI generation took place during development. The game does not generate AI content or code during play or connect to an external AI service. I recognize AI in game development is an extremely sensitive topic and I appreciate both sides. I only hope the game is fun. The goal should always be making something that human beings will enjoy.

Pop 1,000,000 Hot Air Balloons In-game content artaudiotextcode | NBD2 is an AI game development studio.
| NBD2 | - | Oct 9, 2026 |
