Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:
We used generative AI to help create the level layouts and parts of the game code. Everything was then tweaked, edited, and put together by us.
All gameplay and design decisions are fully human-made.
We use generative AI tools in limited parts of the development process.
Visual assets: Some elements such as the main visual, backgrounds, and parts of the UI were created or assisted using image generation AI, and then edited and integrated by the developer.
Story support: AI tools were used to help brainstorm and refine story ideas.
All final content is reviewed, modified, and curated by the developer to fit the game’s design and quality standards.
This game uses generative AI to assist in creating 2D graphical assets (such as item sprites and UI icons) and localizing in-game text. These tools were used as part of a human-led workflow to improve development efficiency for a solo studio. The developer maintains full creative control and has curated all final assets to ensure a high-quality experience for players.
Generative AI tools were used during the development of Final Life Simulator to create various static graphic assets. This includes promotional store images, marketing artwork, and certain UI icons and visual elements. All AI-generated content has been reviewed and curated by the developer to ensure it aligns with the game's artistic direction and quality standards. No live-generated AI content is used during gameplay.
This game uses generative AI tools during development.
All voice-over audio is generated using AI tools.
The game does not use live generative AI during gameplay.
Generative AI was used in a limited and supportive way during development. AI tools were utilized to help draft and refine parts of the store page description, and to assist in editing or enhancing some visual assets for presentation and marketing purposes.
ARB: Alien Races Battle is developed by a solo human author (Raphael Tremblay) with assistance from Anthropic's Claude AI as a coding, art, and writing collaborator throughout production. Specifically:
- Some pixel-art unit sprites, ability icons, and UI elements were generated as SVG code with Claude's help, then reviewed, edited, and approved by the developer.
- In-game ability descriptions, Field Manual codex entries, and supplementary lore text were written with Claude as a writing collaborator, all building on the existing canon of The Alien Races Book (a separate, fully human-authored book by the same author that predates this game by years).
- Game code (gameplay engine, multiplayer infrastructure, UI logic) was developed with Claude as a coding-pair assistant.
Every piece of AI-assisted content was reviewed and edited by the human developer before shipping. The game's core IP — the 60+ documented alien races, their homeworlds, and their first-contact records — comes from The Alien Races Book and is entirely human-authored.
ARB does not use AI to generate content live during gameplay. All in-game content (units, sprites, abilities, sound, text, music) is finalized at build time and shipped as static assets.
Generative AI was used as a supplemental tool during development to streamline workflows and refining technical documentation. All player-facing content has been manually reviewed and polished.
The game contains several code snippets and folder modifications that remain unsolved. There is no artificial intelligence that directly affects the gameplay.
AI tools were used to assist in creating certain promotional/store assets such as capsule images and marketing artwork.
No AI-generated content is included in gameplay, game assets, or user interactions.
Official AI Usage Statement:
Some of the soundtracks in the game have been procured from commercial music large-scale models and are accompanied by commercial licensing certificates.
The initial rough models of certain game elements were generated by commercially viable large-scale models to assist in the development process.
This game uses generative AI in the creation of the following in-game assets:
Background images for the title screen, game clear screen, and game over screen.
Sticky notes, bulletin boards, and elevator information panels within the game screen.
In-game image assets such as elevators.
Some store page artwork, marketing text, and game code were created with the assistance of AI tools (including this text), with direction, editing, and curation by the developer. All game design and creative decisions are human-made.
During development, AI-assisted tools may have been used in a limited role for tasks such as concept support and writing assistance. These tools were used only to assist the development process. All final content choices, editing, implementation, and creative direction were carried out by the solo developer. The game does not include live-generated AI content during runtime.
Some of the visual assets in this game (such as concept arts, UI elements, and store capsules) and the initial ideation processes were developed with the assistance of generative AI tools. All AI-generated concepts were manually edited, refined, and integrated into the game by the developer. The game does not contain any live, real-time generative AI systems that react to player interactions.
This game uses generative AI in the creation of some visual assets.

This game's background music was generated using Suno (AI music generation).
Some sprite and store artwork was created programmatically using Python scripts with
AI-assisted design. No AI content is generated during gameplay.
This game makes limited use of generative artificial intelligence during development.
Generative AI was used to help create some game music and sound effects, to generate the store page thumbnail artwork, and as a support tool for brainstorming ideas and coding auto-completion.
