Public Steam disclosure research 25,508 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
AI was only used for generating the logo and the initial key art.
While most resources are handcrafted by designers, some elements of the game may feature images created or edited using AI technology. These AI-generated assets help enhance the visual experience and provide additional variety in certain areas of the game world.
I use AI to generate music and sound effects, mainly these two.
Only used AI for wording checks and grammar corrections in the English translation.
One image based on a photo and one musical track.
This game uses generative AI for some content. Specifically: Image generation AI is used for some illustrations such as backgrounds. After use, the development team makes modifications and adjustments.
Generative AI used to produce content for the store page, community assets, and marketing materials.
The card image resources in this game are generated by AI. The game features a cyberpunk art style and includes cards with demon imagery, which might be perceived as unsuitable for children. However, these are merely anthropomorphic illustrations and are based on common, traditional tarot card designs. The main purpose of the game is to explain the inner meanings of the cards through text and images.
Artificial Intelligence was used to create the content of the game page in the store, and specifically to create images and logos of the library
Special Note: All card artworks in this game are first generated by AI and then secondarily designed and processed for the card face.
AI has been used to help develop the game's cover art.
Graphics, BGM
I complete the insufficient parts of my artwork using artificial intelligence.
Some images, dynamic effects, and code are generated by AI
This work uses CG and background illustrations partially created by image generation AI.
AI is used to create the initial images. All images are then refined through a series of edits. This includes upscaling, adjusting lighting and color balance, detailed touch-ups, redrawing specific elements, noise reduction, sharpening, adding artistic effects and more to ensure the highest visual quality possible. AI tools also assist in the creation of the game's original soundtrack. These pieces undergo extensive refinement through edits, including rewriting melodies and lyrics, adding custom instrumentation, mixing and mastering each track and more.
AI was used in the following areas: • Generation of in-game scripts • Translation of in-game text • Translation of the Steam store page into English and Simplified Chinese
AI used in some artwork background and initial character concepts, followed by drawn enhancements in GIMP
AI has been used to help develop the game's cover art.

Image Generation, Music Generation
Generative AI was used to enhance and upscale background assets from earlier development versions. Additionally, AI tools were utilized to generate intermediate frames for the game’s animatic sequences, assist in the coloring process and to provide the initial translation of the script into English.
The game content includes AI-generated and AI-aided graphic assets.
AI tools are part of the workflow for creating some of the games assets.
AI has been used to help develop the game's cover art.
The characters, some background assets, and the text used to describe battles in the game screenshots are generated by AI. During gameplay, the creation of characters, the text descriptions of the battle process, and the scoring judgments for battle results are all powered by real-time AI technology. Additionally, AI is used in the process of converting voice recognition into text. AI is only utilized to enhance the dramatic nature of the turn-based battle gameplay mode. We do not use player data for any AI training.
AI has been used to help develop the game's cover art.
AI was used during the development process to generate the images used in the game.
No generative AI is used in the game. Only store/library capsules were created with the help of generative AI.
Some audio content was generated by generative AI.
1. Text Localization: AI-assisted translation is used for the game's store page and in-game text to support multiple language versions. 2. Art Assets: Some in-game icons and character portraits have been generated using AI tools. We plan to gradually replace these assets with original work by human artists in future updates to continuously improve the game's overall quality.
I used local art generation (tiles, background) and audio generation (music).

In So it’s Simple!, some of the game’s visual assets — including characters, backgrounds, and objects — were created with the assistance of generative AI tools during development. These AI-generated assets were carefully reviewed, modified, and enhanced by the developer to ensure they match the game’s unique art style and emotional tone. The final game itself does not include any live AI generation during gameplay. All content is pre-rendered and artistically directed by the developer.
Some images in the game are AI-generated.
ALL artworks in the MAIN game are paid to top professionals in the industry. AI art is strictly only used in the locations section of the Compendium, the Solo Campaign's upgrade shop, and Solo Campaign event pop-ups. This is so players don't see just text in those sections. Otherwise everything else is fully invested in humans.
Some artwork in the game (such as character portraits) were generated using AI systems.
