Public Steam disclosure research 25,376 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
A large language model was used to translate the product page.
Some voice lines, sound effects, and music in the game and its trailer were created with generative AI tools (ElevenLabs, Suno), then reviewed, edited, and finalized by the developer. No content is generated by AI during gameplay.
Some pre-generated visual assets in the game were created or assisted with generative AI tools, including environment artwork, interface illustrations, textures, and source material used for certain 3D assets. All such material was reviewed, edited, integrated, and tested by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay or connect to external AI services while running.
Some visual assets and 3D assets used in this game were created with the assistance of generative AI. The generated assets were edited and adjusted by the developer as needed before being incorporated into the game. No content is generated by AI in real time during gameplay.
I used generative AI to create the logo and a few promotional assets for the game.
Generative AI was used to prototype and stylize most pixel art. Generative AI was NOT used for writing, music, or mechanics.
Phantom Line: Prologue contains some voices generated by voice synthesizers.
The Game Logo was inspired by AI, everything else is procedurally generated shapes through code.
AI is used to help with translating the store page and in-game texts.
AI was used to assist with the translation of the game's text into supported languages. No generative AI was used to create the game's art, music, or other game content.
Dystopia uses AI to live-generate its radio: all music, DJ voices, lyrics, song titles, and artist names are created by AI on our own servers and streamed to every player. Our 3D environments render as Gaussian splats and were AI generated using World Labs' Marble.
The text used in the game and on the Steam store page has currently been translated primarily with the assistance of AI tools. Most of the graphical assets used in the game are based on real photographs or renders of 3D objects. However, AI-generated imagery was used in cases where no suitable real-world source material was available, or where the available material was insufficient to complete or supplement the required assets.
AI has been used solely as a coding assistant for assistance purposes. As a solo indie developer with no software background, using a coding assistant is my only option. Regards.
This game uses AI to analyze the meaning and intent of players’ natural-language input in real time, enabling players to interact with characters using their own words. AI is used solely for input analysis during gameplay. All dialogue and narrative content are written by the development team and are not generated by AI.
The promotional video on the game's store page used AI-generated character animation slices.
PROCEDURE ZERO is made by one person. Pre-generated AI tools were used for character voices, sound effects, the opening scene, and translations into languages other than Polish. Every line of it was chosen, edited and placed in the game by hand. The game does not generate any content while you play.
The AI coworkers in this game are voiced by a machine (TTS), and their dialogue was really written by AI together with self portraits, on purpose and under human review. The slop is diegetic. The code was written with AI agents and reviewed by the last human in that loop, the developer. That is also the plot. No AI runs at runtime. Everything was baked and reviewed before shipping.
Some assets were fine tuned with the help of AI.
All art, music, and sound in TOWERPUNK are original to this project, produced by procedural code written specifically for the game. None of it is derived from generative media models. AI coding assistants were used during development to help write the game's source code and some functional interface text (menu labels, status readouts). All narrative and creative writing is authored by the developer.
Artificial Intelligence Usage Notice: We have used some generative models to prototype new ideas, and some of them have been made into production. However, AI-generated content is no more than 1% of the total game assets and arts.
部分角色配音及美术资产由AI生成,并通过人工审查,修改,整合
Placeholder art assets for the demo are ai-generated, but will be replaced with human art at the earliest reasonable opportunity.

All game design, simulation, code, and in-game text are authored by the developer. The game does not generate any content live during play and does not connect to any external AI service.
Generative AI tools were used during the development of the game in the following areas: Programming & Code: The vast majority of the game's codebase was written with the assistance of AI. Graphics & Visuals: A portion of the 2D artwork, promotional graphics, and UI icons were generated or created using AI tools. Audio & Music: AI tools were used to generate some of the soundtrack. All AI-generated content was reviewed, edited, and integrated into the final game by human developers.
Source code and store page copy were written with AI assistance (Claude), reviewed and edited by the developer before shipping. No AI-generated artwork, music, voice or narrative content ships in this game. All in-game visuals are hand-written shaders and code-drawn geometry; sound effects are procedurally synthesised by a deterministic script; music is licensed from a human artist; fonts are licensed typefaces. No generative AI runs at runtime.

No live or dynamic generative AI is executed while the game is running.
Some visual assets used in the game were edited with the assistance of AI-based tools and subsequently refined and integrated into the project by the developer.
The game's main soundtrack was created using generative AI. The game's promotional capsule artwork was also created with the assistance of generative AI. All other gameplay, programming, game design, pixel art, animations, visual effects, sound effects, UI, and game content were created by the developer.
Pre-generated generative AI was used to assist in creating some 2D illustrations and promotional assets included in the game and on its Steam store page. All AI-assisted outputs were reviewed, selected, and edited by the developer before use. No generative AI content is created during gameplay, the game does not connect to external AI services, and players cannot use AI to generate content.
