Public Steam disclosure research 25,376 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.

Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with programming and some written/game content. All generated material was reviewed and integrated by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay.
Shop descriptions and artwork in the shop, game localization
Some of the game's graphics were generated using AI tools and then manually retouched to match our artistic vision.
Some of the game's 3D models, some of its music tracks and parts of the user interface were created with the help of generative AI tools, then selected, edited and integrated by our team. Some of the artwork on this store page (capsule and promotional images) was also created with the help of generative AI and edited by our team. AI coding assistants were also used during programming, with all code reviewed and directed by our team. Everything else (game design, level design and the remaining art, music and sound effects) was made by the Domp Studio team. No AI is used to generate content while you play.
For 25 years, we dreamed of making this game together. Alpha Draconis's lore, world, creatures, and factions were all created long before generative AI existed. What we lacked was the time and resources to build it. Generative AI changed that: by using it to help write code and create 3D assets, we were finally able to speed up development enough to turn Alpha Draconis into a real, playable game.
Spudfall's visuals and music are created entirely by the game's own code as you play. There are no image, sprite, or audio files. The developer used an AI assistant to help design and write that code, including the neon visual style and the synthesized soundtrack, and to draft the store page text. Trailers and screenshots show real gameplay. The game does not generate any content with AI while you play.
Some assets in this work are AI-generated
Pre-Generated: the music was generated with AI tools.
I used AI for some of the art in the Steam page, library assets and some in-game icons for items.
Generative AI tools were used during development to create some character, environment, and object visuals, 3D assets, and promotional materials. All AI-generated content was created in advance during development. No new content is generated by AI during gameplay, and the game does not connect to any external AI services.
Psst! uses generative AI in two ways, and both run entirely on your own PC. Nothing you say or type is sent to a server, stored, or used to train anything. Live voices: Bot players and the host speak their hints and table talk out loud through a text-to-speech model (Supertonic) that runs on your computer. The spoken lines come from the game's own writing and word lists. The AI only turns that text into audio. Speech recognition: If you choose to play with your voice, a speech-to-text model (NVIDIA Parakeet) turns what you say into text so the game can read your hint or guess. This is optional, and you can always type instead. All artwork, writing and game design were made by the developer or bought as assets with licenses.
The illustrated character portraits used as player avatars (also shown in our store and library artwork) were created with AI image generation (Google Gemini) and then cropped and adjusted by the developer. Some store text and interface translations were drafted with AI assistance. The game does not generate any AI content while you play.
AI tools assisted historical card wording, interface and rules text, Japanese translations, and original procedural game and marketing artwork. Cards include source references. No generative AI runs during gameplay.
No art or audio in DEAD TIME is AI-generated: the music and sound effects are CC0 files from Freesound and Kenney, the characters and animations come from Adobe Mixamo, and every set, prop and the logo itself are drawn procedurally by the game's own code. Generative AI was used as a writing assistant for text: the host's lines, the rules manual, the interface strings, their translation into the game's 12 languages, and this store description. Nothing is generated while you play, and the game never connects to an AI service.
Localisation was done through AI.
Generative AI tools were used to assist in creating some of this game's artwork and store page imagery, and to assist with translating its text into the supported languages. All translations were reviewed before shipping. No content is generated by AI during gameplay.
Some visual, audio and written content was created with the help of AI tools and then reworked and finalized by the developer. Nothing is generated while you play.
The game's user-interface text was written in English and Thai by the developer. The other 12 language files (interface and subtitles) were machine-translated with an AI language model, then reviewed and corrected by the developer. No artwork, music, sound, characters, game rules, or store assets were generated by AI. The game does not generate any content with AI at runtime and does not connect to any AI service.
Bloodlines & Banners is designed, architected, and coded by one person. Generative AI is used as a production tool for volume, with portraits, illustration, music, cinematics, voice, and a share of the in-game prose, at a scale a solo developer could not otherwise afford or commission. It is not used to make creative decisions. The art direction is a single locked style anchor authored by hand and enforced across every asset. The game design, the systems architecture, the historical research, the balance, and every line of the server and client are human work. In-game text is a mixed case, and we set that out plainly rather than round it up to “human-written”. We are stating this up front, unprompted, because we would rather a partner evaluate the game knowing exactly what it is than discover it later.
We use generative AI for player-facing content: in-game art (sprites, UI, backgrounds) and marketing (Steam capsules, store images). Some store-page translations may also be AI-assisted. We select, review, and place everything ourselves — nothing is generated while the game is running. Gameplay, timing, and controls are designed by us. AI coding tools are used internally only and do not create runtime game content.
All graphics in the game are hand-pixelled. The soundtrack was created with generative AI. Some images for the Steam store and library were expanded using AI to fit the required aspect ratios. No content is generated by AI during gameplay.
IA used for marketing.
Generative AI tools were used during development to help create visual assets, interface artwork, decorative themes, and audio elements. AI tools also assisted with localization and store page text. These materials were prepared in advance under the developer’s direction. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay or connect to external AI services.
Roadshift was developed with assistance from generative AI tools (such as Large Language Models) to help write and structure the source code and draft store descriptions, as well as generating in-game images, assets, art, and 3D models. The game does not feature live, runtime generative AI.
Generative AI was used during development to assist in the creation of some visual assets and promotional materials. The final content was reviewed and selected by the developer before being included in the game or its store materials.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with portions of the source code. All AI-assisted output included in the game was reviewed, edited, tested, and integrated by the developer. The game does not use generative AI during gameplay, does not generate content in real time, and does not connect to any external AI service.
We currently use generative AI-assisted tools during development to create some pre-generated visual content. The capsule artwork on the Steam store page is currently AI-assisted and is intended to be replaced before release. We also use Kimodo as an aid in generating and refining character animations used in the game. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay and does not connect to external AI services while running.
This game may contain generative artificial intelligence.
The soundtrack is AI generated.
Generative AI capabilities have been used in game development content to enhance development efficiency.
Generative AI was used to assist with programming during development. No generative AI was used to create content included in the game.
This game uses pre-generated AI only for certain 2D background images and promotional store visuals. These assets were created before release and remain fixed. The game does not include any live AI generation during gameplay.
The content of Dark Dice Dungeon was produced with the help of generative AI tools: the illustrations, the music and sound effects, the in-game writing, and the English and Spanish translations. All of it was then selected, edited and assembled by hand by the developer. Nothing is generated while you play: the game ships with fixed assets and never connects to any service.
I would use pictures, send them through Nano Banana to enhance and modify (Example: silver eyes for Bees) then have AI turn the creatures into sprites. Game mechanics are all mine but AI would make the Pop up's. (Example: For a $5 bonus correctly spell the territory you captured.) A few sounds are AI generated.

Generative AI tools were used exclusively to create static, pre-generated illustrative images for the application's Tips section and Steam store/marketing assets. These are the only AI-generated materials included with the product or presented to users. NitroCore Synapse does not generate AI content at runtime and does not connect to external AI services.
Some icons and also a few images for interfaces.
This game contains content created with the assistance of AI tools. AI was used during development to assist with programming, visual assets, and other creative elements. All generated content was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the dev.
During development, generative artificial intelligence tools were used to create some pre-rendered static images featured in the game and in the Store page materials (illustrations and promotional graphics). Card Monarchy was made using AI tools. PRE-GENERATED CONTENT - Artwork. The card art, character portraits, backgrounds and store images are AI-generated from hand-written prompts, then selected, cropped, composited and corrected by hand against a written art bible. Curation and prompt iteration are entirely at the hands of the producer until the style and output matches the vision. - Music, voice and sound. Generated with ElevenLabs under a commercial license. Every generation is logged with its ID and date. Many of the sound effects were hand created. Some of the music has been sourced from free for commercial use sources. NOTHING IS GENERATED WHILE YOU PLAY The game makes no network calls of any kind and creates no content at runtime. Your opponent is not a machine-learning model. The play engine was generated by AI with extensive prompting and tuning by actual an actual programmer. The developer authored and tuned against millions of simulated battles and test harnesses to make the card battle combat feel challenging and fair.
AI was used to help code and program the game.
AI was used to help generate the store page capsule and background artwork. The visuals are procedurally constructed vector graphics built with AI-assisted code, not raster images from an image-generation model. The wordmark and color palette were designed by the developer.
The word catalog (word lists, definitions, hints, fun facts and emoji clues) was drafted with the help of AI tools and then reviewed and edited by the developers. No AI-generated content is created at runtime, and the game contains no AI-generated art, voice, or music.
All 2D artwork (characters, board, keeper portraits, medals, and store assets) was created with generative AI tools under the developer's direction and curation. The pipa melody was performed and recorded live by a human musician (the developer's wife); the surrounding arrangement was AI-assisted. Game design, writing, and code are human-authored with AI assistance. Localization into 17 languages was AI-assisted with human review. The game contains no live/runtime AI generation.
AI translation tools were used to assist with localization from English to other languages. The original English script was hand written, and no generative AI art, sound, or music was used in the game or promo materials.
Some of the 2d visual assets are generated using AI, afterwards altered or used as an anchor and changed.
One human made this game with many AI agents. Agents would draft concept art and samples for review, then iterate on feedback given.
During the development of the game, AI tools have been used selectively and in a controlled manner to support certain creative and technical processes. Their use has always been guided, reviewed, and supervised by humans, with all final decisions remaining under the direction of the design and technical teams. AI has been used as a supporting tool, never as a replacement for human creativity, judgment, or development work
