Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
AI Generated Content Disclosure
AI tools were used to assist in drafting the written text of this game (in-game explanations, codex entries, the four language versions of the interface, and store page descriptions); all such text was reviewed and edited by the developer. All artwork is procedurally rendered by shaders written by the developer, the store capsule artwork was commissioned from a human artist, and all sound is synthesised by the developer's own code. The game does not use AI to generate any content at runtime.
Void Runners was developed with the help of AI coding tools. The game's art, music and sound effects are generated procedurally by code written with those tools; no AI model runs in the game, and no content is generated live while you play.
Generative AI tools assisted the creation of pre-generated visual assets, including artwork and textures used in the game, promotional art, and store descriptions and localization. These assets and texts are reviewed and integrated during development. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay or connect to an external AI service.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with the creation and iteration of some game assets and development code. AI-assisted content included in the final game is pre-generated and reviewed by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay.
Terafom was developed with the help of generative AI tools. Some of the artwork, 3D models, in-game text and translations, voice, music and sound effects were created with AI assistance and reviewed by the developer. During gameplay, the in-game AI helper character answers players' questions about the game using third-party AI services (Google Gemini, DeepSeek, OpenAI), and its answers are spoken with an AI-generated voice.
AI tools were used to assist with programming and to generate some promotional artwork and marketing materials. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay or connect to external AI services.
Some pre-made content was created with the help of generative AI tools and then edited by our team: parts of the key art and logo, some 3D models, some UI/ability icons, and some character voice lines. AI coding assistants were also used during development. Gameplay design and level design were done by the developers. The game does not generate any AI content live during gameplay.
FleetBane was created by a solo developer with assistance from generative AI tools. During development, these tools helped create and refine some visual assets, music, and written game content. All AI-assisted material was reviewed, selected, edited, polished, or substantially reworked by the developer before being integrated into the game. FleetBane does not use generative AI during gameplay and does not send player input or data to any AI service.
Hold My Cargo is made by a three-person team at Favera Studio. Like many small studios, we use AI-assisted tools as part of our production pipeline — for exploring concepts and marketing artwork, speeding up parts of 3D asset, animation and texture work, drafting text and running automated testing. Every asset, animation and line of text that ships in the game is directed, reviewed, edited and approved by the team; nothing goes in unseen. The game does not generate any content at runtime — there is no live AI in Hold My Cargo, and no player data is sent to AI services.
AI tools assisted the creation or processing of some backgrounds, title illustrations, upgrade-card artwork and localized text during development. These assets are prepared in advance. The game does not call generative AI services at runtime.
Generative AI was used to help create some of the promotional artwork and marketing images displayed on Station 12’s Steam store page.
These images are promotional illustrations and are a good representation of the in-game visuals.
Generative AI was used as a development aid, for example for ideas, text, code assistance, and visual drafts. The game was reviewed, adjusted, and finalized by the developer.
Store page and marketing: the main capsule art was composed and rendered by the developer from in-game models, with generative AI used to repaint parts of the background (landscape, sky and lighting), then corrected by hand. Some promotional videos use an AI-generated voiceover.
Generative AI tools were used during development to create pre-generated character voices, music, and store artwork, and to assist with writing. These assets are prepared in advance. The game does not generate AI content or connect to third-party AI services during gameplay.
Generative AI-assisted tools were used during development to support the creation and refinement of some pre-generated visual assets. No AI content is generated during gameplay.
Some of the game's pre-rendered assets were created with generative AI tools during development and then reviewed, edited and integrated by the developer: parts of the pixel art, parts of the sound effects, and the translations from the English original. Nothing is generated while you play: the game uses no AI at runtime and collects no player data for AI training.
AI was used to assist with coding and to create some textures, which were later reworked by the developer.
The game does not generate AI content in real time
Generative AI tools were used to create some pre-generated visual assets for the game and its Steam store materials. All outputs were reviewed and edited by the developer. The game does not generate content during gameplay.
HELIOBANE was made with the help of generative AI tools.
- Assets: AI was used to generate some of the game's assets, including artwork, voice lines, sound effects, in-game text and translations. Artwork was edited and fitted to the game's 32-colour palette and style before use.
- Music: the soundtrack was made with a custom tracker built for agentic work, by an AI trained on a curated collection of public-domain tracker (MOD) music.
- Some store page and marketing art is also AI-assisted.
Nothing is generated while you play. All content is fixed in the build, and the game does not connect to any AI service.
Generative AI Disclosure:
During the development phase, generative artificial intelligence tools were used to assist in creating certain 2D concept art and promotional graphical assets. All generated content has been manually reviewed, polished, and vetted for compliance, containing no infringing, adult, or illegal sensitive content. The game does not call generative AI services during runtime.
Generative AI assisted in creating some in-game and promotional assets. All such content was reviewed and edited by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay or connect to external AI services.
AI tools were used to help draft and edit some English text: store page copy and some in-game UI strings such as hints, item descriptions and dialogs. All text was reviewed and edited by the developer. All art, models, audio and music are human-made or licensed assets. The game does not generate any content with AI at runtime.
Generative AI tools were used to assist in the creation and refinement of some pre-rendered artwork and interface elements. AI-generated music is also used, and AI tools assisted with store-page text and localization. All AI-assisted content was selected, edited, and reviewed by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay.
Frontier was conceived, designed, directed, and extensively play tested by a solo developer. Generative AI was used as the primary production tool to implement that vision, including programming, artwork, audio, writing, and other game assets. Every aspect of the game was developed through an iterative human-directed process, with the developer specifying requirements, reviewing results, requesting revisions, making design decisions, integrating systems, and personally testing and approving the final content. No generative AI is used during gameplay.
Some visual assets in this game were generated using AI. Specifically: planet sprites/textures are AI-generated. All other in-game art is purchased/licensed, not AI-generated, and all audio is purchased/licensed, not AI-generated.
Some of the visual assets in Twin Compass, including enemy and character illustrations, background art, and UI decoration, were created with the assistance of generative AI tools, then selected, edited, composited, and hand-tuned by the developer for use in the game. All game design, code, writing, systems, and final asset integration are human-authored. No AI is used at runtime, the game generates nothing on the player's machine and makes no external requests during play.
The campaign's spoken dialogue is AI-generated speech. Over 650 lines were produced with ElevenLabs under a paid plan that licenses commercial use of the output. I wrote every line of that dialogue myself - the writing is mine, the performance is synthetic. I would prefer human voice actors and intend to replace these recordings when the project can afford it.
No AI-generated art ships in the game. Every ship, station and environment mesh is either licensed art or made by me. A set of AI-generated 3D models was removed from the project in July 2026.
The combat and zone music tracks are AI-generated songs I made with Suno on a paid plan that grants commercial-use rights to the output. The remaining music and all sound effects are licensed audio packs and my own work.
Generative AI tools were used to assist with some promotional/store artwork, minor code edits, and the improvement and iteration of some music. AI-generated content is not created dynamically during gameplay.
Hexpanse is a solo developer's experiment in building a game 100% with AI, and it is developed with AI assistance (including its source code). The game itself is built almost entirely from procedural, code-generated pixel art and synthesized audio — produced algorithmically by our own code, not by AI. Generative AI was used in two limited, pre-rendered ways: (1) as a starting point for some ship and station part illustrations, later cleaned up, processed and integrated by hand; and (2) to produce the neural text-to-speech voice-over of the intro cinematic. In Early Access, the community feedback I find relevant feeds the AI-assisted development. No generative AI runs while you play — nothing is generated live in-game.
AI tools assisted with pre-rendered artwork, character illustrations, UI, achievement icons, narrative and marketing materials. No AI content is generated during gameplay.
The game's original languages are Portuguese and English. Generative AI was used exclusively to translate and localize the text into the other supported languages, making the game accessible to more players worldwide at launch. All code, game design, artwork, audio, and original Portuguese and English text were created by humans.
Generative AI tools were used to assist with localization during development. All in-game art assets were hand-drawn, manually edited, and refined by the creator. No generative AI is used while the game is running.
Generative AI tools were utilized to generate base assets for various 3D models and musical tracks. All AI-generated content was subsequently edited, refined, and integrated manually to match the vision of the game.
Some images were created with AI image generation: the crew portraits, loading-screen image, and the current store capsule artwork and logo (commissioned artwork will replace the capsule). The game's code was written with AI coding assistants under the developer's direction; ships, weapons and effects are drawn procedurally by that code. All in-game text is written by the developer.
The developer uses generative AI during development for prototyping (placeholder models/assets), and some current store‑page marketing images are AI‑composed. No generative AI runs during gameplay.
Generative AI was used only to create artwork for the Steam store page and marketing materials. No generative AI is used in the game or during gameplay.
Generative AI was used to create three pre-generated images used in the game: the splash screen, loading screen, and main menu background. No other game content was generated using AI, and the game does not generate AI content during gameplay.
