Public Steam disclosure research 25,989 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Grok AI was used in order to make some of the pictures in the library, game store page, and some intro./outro. picture in the game representing Dream Dazia.
This game uses generative artificial intelligence for localization and for some cinematic visuals. All in-game text has been translated into 20 languages using AI-assisted translation tools. The source language was written by the developer. AI-generated translations cover: English, German, Italian, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Dutch, Polish, Russian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, Vietnamese, Hindi, Indonesian, Korean, and Arabic. Additionally, some cinematic visuals were pre-generated using AI image tools.
This game uses generative AI only to create some 2D visual assets (e.g. key art, logos, achievement icons and other marketing/store artwork). All AI-generated content is pre-rendered, manually reviewed, and static. The game itself does not perform any live AI generation, does not take user prompts for AI, and does not send any user data to AI services.
Generative AI assists in the development of certain base Gaussian-splatted object meshes and is also used as the basis for some interface images and portions of documentation text used in the product. These AI-assisted elements are further reviewed, selected, and integrated into the final game content as part of the development process.
I'm a solo game developer. I use AI for checking spelling, grammar, some text generation for in-game item description, marketing material to make sure the English content is well presented to the players. Because English is not my native langue.
Capsule artwork generated with AI assistance.
AI was used only to generate language translations and Steam marketing images like Steam capsule.
Some item images and 3D models are created using generative AI.
Generative AI was used during development to assist with localization and limited code drafting. All final shipped content was reviewed and edited by the developer before release.

Some visual and marketing assets for this game were created or assisted using AI tools during development. No AI-generated content is used in real-time during gameplay, and all core game systems, mechanics, and player experiences are fully handcrafted.
AI tools were used strictly during the development phase to assist with writing code scripts and drafting text descriptions. All game mechanics, logic, and assets were manually reviewed, tested, and finalized by the developer.
Some minor use was made of AI, e.g. for coding assistance, or for help with writing text.
The AI-assisted music tracks were processed in a DAW and uniquely arranged to fit the game
AI-assisted translation tools were used for the store page and for localizing in-game text into multiple languages. (Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, German)
AI was used to generate images for the shop and web page.
Generative AI has not been used in creating this game.
Some card figures and illustrations are AI created arts.
AI tools were used to localize Solitaire Deck's text into multiple languages, this is the only AI content in the game. As a solo developer, it was my only feasible way to support players who prefer games in their native language. Some translations have been reviewed by native speakers, and I'm working to get more checked over time. If you spot anything off, please let me know through the Steam discussions and I'll get it fixed.
Please note that some art resources utilized AI assistance during production for better visuals. We appreciate your understanding on this matter.
A single AI-generated illustration of a character kicking a sign.
Some written content (store descriptions, in-game text) and select marketing images were created with the assistance of AI tools. No AI-generated content is used in gameplay, game assets, or game systems.
Minimal use of AI to enhance some store artwork.
his game uses pre-generated AI tools to assist in the creation of some background music tracks and specific image assets, such as [background art / illustrations]. All AI-generated audio and visual contents were pre-generated during development, manually reviewed, and modified by the developer to ensure they fit the game's intended atmosphere. There is no live-generated AI content during gameplay.

AI was used in this game for css and uxml elements, repetitive code tasks, internal tooling and general code debugging
Generative AI was used for the localization of in-game text and the store page.
Certain visual assets (such as some icons) were created with the assistance of generative AI during development.
AI usage has been very light and, in my opinion, the correct/optimal use of AI. AI has been predominately used in the form of a chatbot efficiency tool. I've used it to troubleshoot matchmaking logic flows, I've pasted blocks of text for it to clean up readability or catch spelling errors, I just asked it for the quickest way to change images to grayscale in MS Paint as I was creating Steam Achievements. Things like that. I have hired an artist that claims he does not use AI, though I admit I cannot completely verify that. The hero image and some title art was developed by him. All sprite work in the game itself was made by humans. Music was pulled from various places. My brother-in-law created some songs and did not use AI. Other tracks and sound effects were pulled from free-use websites that did not make any AI disclosures. Really truly, the heart and soul of this game is for humans made by humans. AI has been used, but only as the tool it is meant to be, not as the replacement of human creativity it is slowly elbowing its way into.
All image resources (excluding UI) in this game are generated using AI.
AI is used for some 2D in-game notes, images and UI elements.
Generative AI tools were used during early prototyping to accelerate visual iteration and research. Any AI generated assets from the prototype have been fully replaced with original artist made content in the final game. No AI generated content is present in the game.
The Buzz Quiz trailer features scenes created using AI.
The development process of this project involved the use of advanced digital synthesis and generative tools to assist in the creation and curation of certain audio assets. These tools were utilized to enhance the thematic consistency of the soundtrack and to supplement the creative workflow. All final assets have been reviewed and integrated to ensure they meet the quality standards of the studio.
Some graphic asset is generated by AI
A few pieces of art were generated: the battle background, the fire aura on the marketing assets, and a few projectiles for units like the white beetle.
GenAI was used for the generation of limited in-game and store page artwork. I am actively seeking an artist open to minor projects to replace AI content.
Some images in the game use AI. The Spanish - Latin America, Portuguese - Brazil, Portuguese - Portugal, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish - Spain, Korean, Italian, French, German versions was translated using AI.
We used AI to generate initial music tracks, concept art, and temporary translations into some languages. All materials were then thoroughly edited, reworked, and finalized by humans. Nothing went straight from the generator into the game.
The game's codebase was developed with the support of generative AI tools
Certain pre-generated visual assets in the game and store materials, such as some icons and background artwork, were created with the assistance of generative AI during development. All such assets were reviewed, curated, and integrated by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay and does not use live external AI services.
Partial Arts Conceptualization
AI has been used to create some sprites
The game uses AI-generated assets such as pre-rendered textures and background images to enhance the visual atmosphere. These elements were created with AI tools but are not generated dynamically during gameplay.
No AI was used for art, animation, sound effects, and music. AI tools were only used for scripting assistance, refactoring, and debugging.
I use AI for generation in my programming. ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, etc.
This game uses AI in the following areas: - 3D models - Textures - Source code - BGM
Generative AI was used for some pre-rendered promotional gameplay footage in the trailer and small visual assets.
