Public Steam disclosure research 25,394 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Code with AI
As a husband and wife team, we use AI tools to help us prototype ideas and styles, but are working with artists to update as many assets as possible with a focus on allowing artists to do what they do best.
AI technologies were used in the creation of some in-game models. All assets were manually refined and technically optimized.
The background images and plums pictures are pre-rendered AI art.
Artificial Intelligence was used exclusively for text localization and language translations. The pixel art and animations were handcrafted by the professional artists credited within the game. Sound effects and music are licensed assets curated for this project. No generative AI was used for any artistic, visual, or audio production.
Some promotional images utilize AI.
Content: All the content in this game, the bros, their details, the game mechanics, game play, game ideas, narrative and wording throughout the game is all human created. Coding: The majority of the raw coding was done by ChatGpt. Artwork: All visuals, including sprites were created by DALL-E and ChatGPT. Music: All song lyrics and themes were human created. All the music creation was done by Suno. Voice Over: The tutorial voice over was done with ElevenLabs Studios.
The music and sound effects are AI generated. There are some AI generated art assets.
Asset generation for the game
We've harnessed the power of Generative AI technology to create several of our game's unique theme background artworks, enhancing your gaming experience with visually stunning designs.
The capsule images are heavily edited, but are nonetheless based on AI-generated images. I plan to change this if the game generates enough interest.
This game was built using a high-intensity AI workflow. Coding, art, music, every possible asset.
This game used generative AI as a development aid in the following areas: Store Capsule: Generative AI tools were used to create or assist in the production of some visual assets. Final compositions, layout adjustments, cropping, and any post-processing were reviewed and approved by the developer. Coding: Used to generate and refine draft code and provide debugging suggestions. All final code is reviewed and integrated by the developer. Audio (BGM & SFX): Some background music and sound effects were generated using generative AI tools; other audio assets were created or sourced by the developer. AI-generated audio is generally used close to the original output, with light processing such as trimming, volume leveling, and format conversion when necessary. Narrative: Used to support drafting and iteration (for example, wording alternatives and structural adjustments). All in-game text is reviewed by the developer. Localization: Some language translations were generated with AI assistance and reviewed or edited where feasible. No generative AI is used to create new content in real time during gameplay. All AI usage is limited to development and asset creation.
Some minor 2D decorative images and a limited number of ambient sound elements were generated using AI-assisted tools during development. These assets are primarily non-core visual or atmospheric elements. All core gameplay systems, design, programming, balance, mechanics, and the overall creative direction of the game were developed by the human development team.
We used AI-assisted tools to help create some visual assets and metadata (e.g., movie cover designs and marketing art). All content was reviewed and refined by our development team to ensure quality and legal compliance.
Only the music and sound effects in this game were generated using AI.
Generative AI was used to create temporary placeholder visuals during development. All such content is reviewed, edited, and progressively replaced with human-created artwork.
AI was used to generate some assets, code and music

Use AI to generate some store page introductions.
This game uses generative AI for the following purposes: · Text language translation The following languages are translated by local staff, not AI: English French Italian German Dutch Spanish Spanish (Latin America) Polish Portuguese (Brazil) Japanese Korean
AI was used to develop the store and cover pages of the game.
Used LLM's for for translation to other languages.
AI tools were used during development to assist a solo developer. This includes AI-generated voice-overs and the creation of initial base assets for background environments, which were subsequently manually adapted, animated, and refined to fit the game's specific style. No AI systems are used to generate content, dialogue, or code dynamically during gameplay. The game’s story, characters, core gameplay, logic, animations, effects, music, and the overall artistic composition were created manually.
To help with store visuals I used generative AI tools to assist in creating some promotional artwork and banners for the Steam page. All actual game content, gameplay and in-game assets were made without using AI.
The background images and girls pictures are pre-rendered AI art
Artificial intelligence was used to reconstruct partial fragments.
The capsules were created using AI tools.
“Some of the in-game 2D artwork was created with the assistance of generative AI tools.”
This game features music from a variety of genres where the lyrics describe the anatomy of the hand and the biomechanics of posture. These songs were performed with the help of generative AI, and the album art for these songs was also created with the help of generative AI.
Game code is written with AI acceleration
Neo Lobby Arcade™ uses artificial intelligence tools during development and marketing to assist with the creation of certain pre-rendered assets, such as promotional materials or placeholder visuals. The game does not use generative AI to create content dynamically during gameplay. All in-game experiences, environment, and interactions are curated and authored by the development team.
AI was used to iterate different variations of concept art, textures, sprites and capsule art. The final versions always went through manual editing and adjustments. AI was also used to perform quick image processing edits and to generate boiler plate code.
To ensure that players from diverse cultural backgrounds can fully immerse themselves in the narrative, AI-assisted tools were utilized for localization purposes. This allows us to bridge language barriers and make the game accessible to a global audience.

As an indie game project, to overcome limitations in budget and time, this game utilizes AI-generated assets for some visual elements (including character art, background scenes, and UI icons) and music. All AI-generated content has undergone the following manual processing: Frame-by-frame adjustments for detail consistency. Redrawing of parts inconsistent with the game's worldbuilding. Ayu promises that all assets comply with Steam's policies, and the core gameplay and narrative are 100% original. Thank you for your understanding and support.
AI was used to debug and create some code. It was also used to create the logo/icon.
We've harnessed the power of Generative AI technology to create several of our game's unique theme background artworks, enhancing your gaming experience with visually stunning designs.
Tic Tac Football uses AI-controlled opponents to allow players to compete in single-player matches, cups, and leagues. AI players follow the same rules as human players and are designed to provide a fair, accessible challenge focused on positioning, timing, and decision-making rather than speed or complex simulation.
I used AI for spelling, organizing the story and my thoughts as well as helping fix errors in my code and to figure out how to do stuff I didn't know as well as some of the store descriptions as I am not the best at spelling.
Since our team is very small, due to a lack of certain skills and time, for now we had to use AI to create some of the icons and music in our game, as placeholders that will be replaced by handcrafted art in the future. All other visual content was created by real people.
Currently, AI was used to localize the store page and in-game text from English into other languages. We plan to verify and refine these translations with human speakers soon to ensure the highest quality possible.
Generative AI tools were used during the development process to assist with coding and debugging. Additionally, AI tools were utilized to create and edit certain visual assets for the user interface (UI) and store page marketing materials. All content generated or modified by AI has been manually reviewed and finalized by the developer.
Some promotional visual assets (such as capsule images and store graphics) were created with the assistance of generative AI tools and were then reviewed, edited, and finalized by the development team. No generative AI is used during gameplay or to create real-time in-game content.
No AI generated content is used to dynamically change gameplay or other ingame mechanics. However, this game includes music tracks created using AI. As a solo developer with a limited budget, I chose to use AI generated music to ensure the game feels full and engaging rather than empty. These AI generated songs are part of the ingame experience and contribute to the player’s enjoyment.
