Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
The game contains AI-generated art assets. AI characters, as featured content, account for no more than 10% of the overall game.
The primary goal of using AI characters in the game is to expand the possibilities of interactive film and television games. Beyond this, AI-generated content accounts for no more than 1% of the overall art assets.
The AI technology and AI-generated characters used in the game are copyrighted and protected by law.
During development, we used AI-assisted tools in a limited way to explore/promote content: (1) some store capsule artwork, (2) certain in-game icons, and (3) draft variations of dialogue and story beats. All final assets were human-reviewed and edited for originality, style consistency, and IP compliance. The game does not use live generative AI at runtime or connect to AI services during play.
We used generative-AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT/OpenAI image generation and PlaygroundAI) to create some pre-rendered 2D art such as backgrounds, character illustrations, and other ingame asset images. No live AI or code generation occurs during gameplay, and players do not provide prompts. All outputs were human reviewed and edited, and created under licenses permitting commercial use; we avoid copyrighted characters and real-person likenesses.
Some textures, objects, and parts of monsters were created with the help of AI, based on my sketches and followed by extensive edits. All the rest of the visuals are a mix of drawings and edited photographs.
This game does not generate AI content during gameplay. Some promotional materials and in-game art assets were created with the assistance of AI tools under a commercial-use license, with all content curated and finalized by the developer.
Art: Illustrations were produced from images generated via Midjourney and ComfyUI, then color-corrected, composited, and resized by the team.
Audio: Music was generated with Suno and then edited, mixed, and mastered for in-game use.
Additional note: No AI is used to make gameplay decisions, and no player data is used for AI training.
We here at Toffee Co. used generative-AI tools during development to create artwork and write all the code. No content is generated while the game runs. All shipped assets were reviewed/edited by us; no real-person likenesses or third-party copyrighted IP are used.
AI was used initially to prototype a design of the logo for the 1st game Astro Fighters.
This design has been manually adjusted from the AI concept and now forms a part of the Astro Fighters and Astro Fighters 2 logo designs.

Some graphical assets, musical assets, localization, and portions of code were partially created with the assistance of generative AI programs and large language models (LLMs).
Some UI icons were created using AI.
The English, French, and Russian localizations were made by human translators; all other localizations were made with AI.
Some assets in this game were initially generated with AI-based tools,
but all final character models and in-game assets were manually edited
and fully curated by the developer.
No AI-generated content is used without human review or adjustment.
Some of the visual assets in this game, primarily character portraits and background art, were created with the assistance of generative AI technology.
I used Elevenlabs AI Voice Robots to do all the voicework in the game.
A few store page images have been created with ComfyUI.
Achievements images have been created with with ComfyUI.
Some character portraits and textures were created with the assistance of AI tools and then manually edited. Other assets, including the logo and additional textures, were fully manually created.
Some artwork, in-game videos, and voices are AI generated for prototyping purposes but are planned to be entirely replaced with human-made content by the end of development and before release.
This product uses generative AI during development. Specifically, AI was used for:
- Generating background music (BGM)
- Creating translation texts
No AI is executed in real time during gameplay, and it does not affect the player experience.
As a solo developer, it's really hard to work on everything, so I used some AI tools to help me along the way. I don't generate anything from scratch. Everything used in the game has been first designed, concepted, and sketched. Then used AI to improve on the design. Also, generated content has been modified after with image editors to fit and adapt to the vision and needs of the game. Some examples are: Textures for some objects, ui cohesion, English writing...
