Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
AI tools are involved in The production of our games and then manually optimized by our members, such as The characters, background images, art work for the store page are generated by AI
For the players who pay attention to this game, we are really sorry that our English text experience is poor, our studio has no money to do English translation, can only temporarily use GPT for machine translation. Sorry for the poor English text experience, but thank you for your interest in our game!
Generative AI has been used in the creation of the 2D graphics, music, voices and sound effects present in this game and it's marketing materials.
We are in the early days of AI. I think it's important for creators to experiment with it, but doing so morally seems impossible.
As a compromise I've pledged 50% of the game's income to hire human artists.
As you gather words by interviewing witnesses to solve the crime, you'll gradually piece together the correct combination of words. When you guess the correct combination, an image will be generated in real time, ensuring that each playthrough is a unique experience.
Use ChatGPT to help write descriptions, come up with ideas, proofread the text.
Use StableDiffusion for ideation, concept art, icons generation e.g. knife, gun.
As a solo developer I am unable to produce some of the assets that i'm not qualified for. Also, due to the war and economic crisis there are no jobs for people with disabilities in my country (Ukraine), so I am unable to hire people to work with me.
Therefore, I had no choice but to use AI for generation of certain assets, but rest assured: 100% of the story and almost all graphics in game were made by human, and the AI assets fit into general aestetics of the game and only serve as a support for the main content.
And if you still not sure regarding game's quality, feel free to pirate it now, and buy later, when you will be certain that it's worth the price.
Latens uses real-time AI as the game engine, creating a unique and customizable experience.
You start in front of a screen that only shows "noise." As you interact with it, the AI dynamically generates a dreamlike world through a sequence of self-generated images, adapting to your actions and preferences in real time.
This innovative concept offers an interactive experience that was impossible to achieve before the advent of real-time AI generation.
The game features AI-generated sound effects. To provide players with so many languages, we used AI for localization. We'll do everything we can to ensure better translation quality in the full version. Additionally, we used artificial intelligence to create some graphics like wallpapers, steam cards and other smaller graphics.
Game uses built-in text generation AI to determine Unity-chan responses in chat, her relation responses and optionally remembers facts the user tells in chat. All generation happens offline and does not require any third party accounts or payments.
Some backgrounds in gameplay were generated for AI, I am a one man show and had to conserve time. The game play helper was modeled and is 3d. The menu BG was modeled in Blender.
Carceri's story portrays a world made by programs, for programs. While ALL the writing, music, and 3D art in this game was created by a single human being, there is an Art Gallery in-game that contains 50 images, 17 of which have been generated by AI, (that are all clearly marked as such). These are fictionally portrayed as art works created by the characters (programs) of this world.
No names of modern, living artists were used to generate these images. The prompts were words such as: Hudson River school, old masters, Delacroix, robots, abstract geometry, landscape. From there, I photo-shopped all images so that none are 100% unaltered from the generation process.
Acknowledging generative imagery's existence is important to the world-building and meta-narrative of Carceri, so this was the fairest way I could think to include a small dose of these works, which are divisive by their very nature.
Although some illustrations are still rendered or enhanced by generative artificial intelligence, the game is currently in the process of replacing all AI-generated artwork with non-AI illustrations. Updates will roll out gradually until the transition is complete.
Some lines are generated by AI, using free and open source voice.
Some music is generated by AI, and paid for legal use.
Some pictures and videos are generated by AI, using people who don't exist in reality, and will not involve any copyright issues.
NPC responses are generated in real-time by Chat GPT.
The game is connected to the AI model and generates customized prompts based on player text inputs.
Character images and location sketches are created manually by our artists, but we also use neural networks to speed up the drawing of details. AI isn't used to generate content during gameplay.
