Public Steam disclosure research 25,867 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Uses some AI generated art
We used a few pre-rendered images as internal references for proportions and framing. However, all-ingame visuals are original pixel art creations with our palettes, handcrafted by our team to ensure consistency and authenticity.
AI was used in the generation of textures.
After I personally finalized the design phase, some art assets were first rendered using generative AI tools, and I then manually refined and detailed them. Similarly, certain background music pieces were developed with the help of generative AI tools. Should you have any concerns about these methods, please feel free to experience the game according to your own preferences. Thank you for your understanding and consideration.

Used AI to generate few of the textures as I couldn't hire any artists
As a solo developer, I used artificial intelligence tools to generate the card artwork and the game's music. All other aspects, including the game design, programming, and mechanics, are entirely human-created.
We used AI tools behind the scenes to make the game more vibrant, varied and polished. AI helped us brainstorm and sketch dozens of unique sea creatures and environments, generate high-quality textures and animations faster, and even suggest balanced enemy behaviors so each battle feels fair and fun. Thanks to AI assistance, our team could focus on crafting the best gameplay moments—AI simply sped up routine tasks, letting us fill the world with more creativity and detail.
Some artwork and assets (like images) were made with generative AI during development. No AI generates live content — all gameplay is static, hand-curated, and fixed at release.
This game used AI-assisted tools during development (for code suggestions and some asset creation/editing). No AI-generated code or content is produced at runtime.
Some of the images featured in the game were generated using AI
Some menu images, the game’s logo, and certain sprites were created using AI tools and edited manually. No AI content is generated during gameplay.
Some code of the game, namely the warp door system, some internal timers, enemy logic in Level 3-4, and setting and name displays, was written by me, fed through AI, and then manually edited. No graphics or music were Ai-generated.
Some AI-generated assets are currently used as placeholders. These will be replaced with human-made assets before release.

This game uses AI to enable real-time conversations and interactions with a desktop companion. It features speech recognition powered by Kyutai ASR, language understanding and generation using Meta’s LLaMA model, and expressive voice responses through Sesame CSM’s text-to-speech system. All AI runs locally on your device, with no internet connection required.
The background images and owls pictures are pre-rendered AI art
Some textures are made with AI. Text translations are made with AI. Code is written with AI.
Some instances of AI generated paintings on walls in the game.
Some tiles in the pixel art freeroam were created by an artist and modified with AI into a pixel art style.
I’ve used tools like Image Creator, Meshy, and assets from the Unreal Fab Shop some of which include AI-assisted content. These resources complement my own custom-made models and help fill creative gaps when needed. Final in-game assets will be a mix of original and properly licensed content. Most AI-generated content in my project is based on models I’ve created myself. I was born speaking French and English isn’t my native language, so I’ve used AI tools to help refine and improve my writing. From game dialogue to story descriptions and Kickstarter text, AI helps me correct grammar and make my ideas easier to read and understand for a broader audience. The creative direction and story are completely mine it just helps me express it better!
Arts are generated with AI support
Part of the game code uses output generated by AI. The in-game background music is generated using Udio.
Some visual and textual elements in this game were created with the assistance of generative tools and were then edited, curated, and integrated as part of the overall artistic development process.
In the game's store page visuals, in-game images, music and voice-overs were created by artificial intelligence.
To improve efficiency during the prototyping stage, the current demo version of our project temporarily uses AI-generated assets as placeholders for some background elements. We want to be clear that in the final version of the game, these placeholder assets will be entirely removed. All graphics will be replaced with 100% original artwork created by our in-house artists. This is our firm commitment to ensuring a unique and high-quality experience for all players.
Some prop icons and character images are generated using AI.
Some reference images for texture map were generated by AI
Some card illustrations were AI‑assisted and manually reviewed. The game does not generate AI content in real time.
This game is primarily hand-drawn and artist-created. A very small number of development assets were lightly assisted with AI tools, but no live AI generation occurs during gameplay. The vast majority of in-game assets, environments, characters, and cinematics are traditionally created by the developer.
I have used AI to pre-render content. I have used AI to make some of the code that I use in the game. Such that AI has helped me make the best possible CPU and help with player physics.
All 2D characters in the game are fully created by our 2D artist. Currently, the interactions between characters are generated with the help of ChatGPT. Additionally, the book story has been edited for grammar improvements using ChatGPT. In the future, once we secure funding or generate income from the project, our artist will create all character interactions manually to ensure the highest quality and authenticity.
Some of the art references were made by AI
The images were created using AI then edited by a human Languages other than English are machine translated
AI is not used in the gameplay. The textures of the rank icon frames, rank textures, main menu textures, key textures, HUD textures, inventory textures, and city banner textures were generated in advance using a neural network and then manually edited. Weapon textures were selected from numerous generated images, and then models were made manually based on them. In most cases, the generated textures were modified. The models and textures of the characters in the game are made manually. The functions built into the engine are used to control enemies. All materials used do not violate copyright and comply with the rules.
Some visual assets on this page as well as in-game content include pre-rendered imagery generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence. These images are used for illustrations only. This game does not contain any AI live-generated content nor code.

AI was used to generate some short in-game jingles. All other music was composed by the developer.
The game does not contain AI-generated content. We used AI to create the capsules for the game's store page.

AI has been used to make minor graphical tweaks
During the development of LOOPINITY: Break the Circle, artificial intelligence (AI) technologies were used to create concept art and finished sprites for some of the game's characters.
The images used for the header, store, library, and those related to logos and marketing were created with generative artificial intelligence.
Some elements can be generated using AI.
Artificial Intelligence Tools were used to create the logos and images other than the screenshots on the store page of our game.
To support multiple languages, in-game text and store pages have been translated using AI.

Signal Lost uses generative artificial intelligence for pre-generated voiceover lines only. - The voiceovers are created using ElevenLabs, an AI-based text-to-speech service. - All AI-generated audio is produced before release, reviewed, and edited by the developer to ensure quality, accuracy, and appropriateness. - No content is generated live or dynamically during gameplay. - All other game assets — including art, animations, level design, and code — are created by the developer or sourced from licensed, non-AI stock resources. This ensures full transparency about the use of AI while maintaining complete creative control over the game experience. The AI-generated content is used only to support narrative delivery, maintain consistent tone, and enhance immersion while respecting copyright and ethical guidelines.
