Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
just for art
Music in Keeping Up is AI-assisted: tracks generated with Suno from prompts written, selected and edited by the developer. Code was written with the help of an AI coding assistant, under the developer's direction and review. Most in-game artwork (character portraits, board art, store capsules) are human-made by the project's artists. There are some placeholder AI artwork images.
Generative AI tools may be used during the development and marketing of WBS26 to assist with concept art, promotional images, placeholder visual materials, character portraits, text editing, localization support, and production workflow. Some character portraits or visual assets may be created or assisted by generative AI tools and then reviewed, selected, and edited by the developer before being included in the game. The game does not use generative AI to create gameplay content in real time for the player. AI-assisted materials are reviewed and edited by the developer before being included in the game or on the Steam store page.
Generative AI was used for music, select visual assets, and early store-page drafts; final content was edited and curated by the developer.
We used AI to generate initial music tracks, concept art, and temporary translations into some languages. All materials were then thoroughly edited, reworked, and finalized by humans. Nothing went straight from the generator into the game.
This game uses generative AI in the following areas: • Background artwork: All static background images displayed in menus and screen backdrops (e.g. brewery interior, fields, market, taverns) were created using generative AI. All images were carefully curated, selected, and post-processed by the developer to fit the game's "Soft Cinematic" 19th-century Belle Époque visual style. • Sound effects and ambient audio: Some in-game sounds were generated using AI audio tools under appropriate commercial licenses. All sounds were reviewed and selected by the developer. • Mission and narrative text: The campaign concept, story arc, and game design are the original work of the developer. Some campaign mission descriptions and in-game event texts were initially drafted with AI assistance based on the developer's outlines, and then reviewed, edited, and adapted to fit the game's tone and historical setting. No generative AI is used during gameplay. All gameplay logic, mechanics, character behaviors, and AI competitor strategies are implemented as deterministic code that does not generate content at runtime. The game does not connect to any external AI services.

FUNEX is a game designed with the help of AI. Also, FUNEX logo and some other image assets could contain AI designs.
AI used in some store images.
Warning: This game contains trace amounts of human effort—mostly restricted to pressing "Ctrl+C" and "Ctrl+V." In the spirit of our title, "AI Slop" was created using generative artificial intelligence for practically every asset, line of code, and marketing material in existence. Here is exactly how we let the machine do our jobs: - Art & Assets: Every single visual asset, from the UI to the 6-fingered anime girls and the melting hands of our characters, was generated using text-to-image AI tools. No digital painters were harmed in the making of this game, because we didn't hire any. - Narrative & Writing: The dialogue, item descriptions, and this very disclosure statement were generated by LLMs. We simply prompted a chatbot to "be funny and cynical" and copied the output without editing the typos. - Code & Mechanics: The logic powering our card games and botnet automation was largely assembled by AI coding assistants. If the game crashes, please blame the algorithm, as our "lead developer" is actually just a prompt engineer. - Music & Sound: The background tracks were generated by synthetic audio engines to ensure a continuous stream of procedurally generated slop-lofi beats. We believe in a future where humans do not have to create things, freeing us up to spend more time looking at screens. We hope you enjoy consuming this premium, 100% synthetic digital garbage.
AI tools were used to generate some store icons and capsule-style promotional images. No AI-generated content is used as core gameplay, game code, or customer-facing interactive systems.
AI tools were used to assist in the creation of store capsule images and logo
This game features dynamic NPC dialogue powered by an offline, license-free artificial intelligence model and a local text-to-speech system.
This game utilizes pre-rendered generative AI to assist in the creation of specific 2D/3D environment buildings and UI assets. These tools were used alongside traditional development methods to build out the game's world.
AI Generated Assets Included
Full release of the game will have NO AI generated content. Currently, I am using AI generated UI images temporarily only during development phase.
Character portraits and some narrative text were created with AI tool assistance during development. Game design, story direction, building sprites, music, and sound effects are human-authored. All content is reviewed and approved by the developer.
AI was used to generate initial language translations, which were then reviewed and refined by human editors to ensure quality and cultural accuracy.
Generative AI has been used during development to create certain concept art, promotional materials, visual mockups, and marketing assets. These assets are used for early-stage presentation and community engagement. Gameplay systems, game design, programming, and final in-game content are developed and curated by the development team. No live-generated AI content is currently generated for players during gameplay.
Generative AI tools were used as part of the development process. For store page materials, AI-generated outputs were used as reference material. The final store assets were manually edited and assembled by the developer. For the game itself, generative AI tools were used to assist with the creation of some in-game visual assets, such as sprites, and to support programming and implementation work. All AI-assisted content is reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer before inclusion. The game does not use live generative AI during gameplay and does not generate images, text, audio, or other content at runtime.
Some promotional/store artwork assets were created or assisted using AI tools. No live-generated AI content is included in gameplay.
We are using AI generated images for our store page materials and some in game visuals (some icons etc.)
This game uses generative AI in the following ways: Art and Visual Assets (Pre-Generated): Some in-game art assets including player portraits and UI illustrations were created with the assistance of generative AI tools during development. All generated assets were reviewed, curated, and edited by the developer before being included in the final build. All AI-generated content has been produced using models and tools that the developer has the right to use commercially.
Some translation text is translated by AI for languages where we have been unable to find a human translator. If you are interested in helping update these with human translations, contact holycowgamedev+translate@gmail.com
Some images in the game are AI-assisted assets that have been carefully edited and refined by me. The artwork is a blend of self-designed visuals and AI-generated elements, with adjustments made to harmonize color patterns.
AI was used during development to assist with brainstorming, writing dialogue, generating character concepts, story planning, and organizing game data. All content was reviewed, edited, and implemented by the developer.
Game logo has been created using AI.
AI was used to translate the game into several languages and generate some background images for the menus; the rest was done by hand.
游戏内立绘使用了AI技术调整
Generative AI tools are used during development for the creation and refinement of certain visual assets, animations, music, sound effects and voice content. AI-assisted workflows are also utilized for localization support, historical research, narrative iteration and code review. All AI-generated material is manually reviewed, edited and integrated into the final game experience by the developer.
I will use AI for prototyping visuals and of course for helping with coding.
AI Used for the art work in this game.
The Logo while temporary, uses AI
Some characters are generated using AI
Generative AI tools were used during development as an assistance tool for programming, debugging, design iteration, documentation, and store-page text drafting. All final game content, gameplay systems, assets, and published materials are reviewed, selected, and implemented by the developer. Sol Survivor does not use live generative AI during gameplay. Players do not interact with an AI text, image, audio, or content-generation system while playing.
Territory Titans: Booking Wars contains some pre-generated content created with the assistance of generative AI tools during development. AI-assisted tools were used to help create portions of promotional artwork, visual assets, and concept materials. All AI-generated content was reviewed, edited, and curated by the developer before inclusion in the game or store materials. The game does not use live AI generation during gameplay and does not generate content for players in real time.
Given I am a solo developer, Generative AI tools were utilized as development assistants to optimize workflows. Also, some of the backgrounds are based on images created with AI, as well as a few items. They were only used as a basis to start from and have been heavily edited manually afterwards to make them fit with the rest of the game's pixel art artstyle.
Generative AI tools are used exclusively during the development process to assist with creating store page and community-related visual materials. No generative AI content is used in the core gameplay experience or real-time in-game systems.
Some NPC portraits and player character face options in Starminer were created with the assistance of generative AI image tools during development. Generative AI was also used to help generate some informational dialogue, help texts, and tooltips. All AI-generated assets and text were reviewed, curated, and edited by our team before being integrated into the final build. No generative AI is used at runtime. All content shipped in the game is static and pre-authored.
AI-assisted localization
Store and Library assets were made using AI.
The store page capsule and secondary assets (like machine icons) were AI-generated using existing in-game screenshots as a base.
Gen AI is used for localisation on the store page and ingame.
Audio in the development of this game was created using AI tools.
Some of Sector 7's artwork — including its store and marketing images — and its narrative text were created with AI assistance and then reviewed and edited by the developer. Localization into additional languages used AI translation with human review.
Generative AI tools were used as part of the development and drafting workflow. Hex Tower Boogie does not generate content during gameplay, does not connect to external AI services, and all shipped/store content is reviewed and curated by the developer.
This game uses pre-generated AI only for certain UI background images and promotional store visuals. These assets were created before release and remain fixed. The game does not include any live AI generation during gameplay.
AI was used to generate language strings and character generation.
Generative AI was used during the development process to create static 2D illustrations of various types of buildings that serve as project previews in the game interface. Marketing resources (storage capsules) were also created using AI to generate images.
Generative AI tools were used during development for ideation, development assistance, and promotional exploration. All final gameplay systems, game logic, and in-game content were created and reviewed by the developer.
