Public Steam disclosure research 25,512 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
A.I. was used to rebuild our script to make the responses more realistic to certain personality types. Using anime as inspiration.
All card art is created by Wise Wizard Games' incredibly-talented full-time lead artist. He used AI tools to iterate on, refine, and polish each of the 321 unique pieces of art. Other artists on our team also used AI tools to create animations based on the card art.
The game's icons were created by an artist and with the use of generative AI tools to automate certain processes, such as removing backgrounds, among others. We ensured compliance with all copyright and intellectual property policies.
"The Madness of Billiards" uses artificial intelligence exclusively for generating certain pre-rendered images and some voice effects in the game. These AI-generated assets contribute to the game's immersive experience but are not used for live content generation or code modifications during gameplay.
We only use the SunoAI music generation tool. Having an appropriate subscription for commercial use.
Voice acting and narration in the game is enhanced or generated by AI.
AI was used to generate the Splash Screen (used in the store) and Character Thumbnails only, during development. All code, models, story, and audio were created manually.
During the development of our game, certain visual, video, and audio assets were created using AI-assisted tools. These technologies supported our creative process—especially in concept design, environmental elements, sound effects, and cinematic transitions. All content has been carefully refined and integrated to ensure it aligns with the overall atmosphere and quality of the game. We use AI technologies with ethical responsibility, always prioritizing originality and excellence.
Some images on the walls and a small amount of textures are temporarily AI-generated. Will be replaced by human-created content.
The voice acting for the game uses pre-generated voice lines
We use text-generating AI for localization in this game.
*Some background images and certain minor character images were initially created using AI-generated images and then modified and refined by humans. *Some of the music includes elements generated by AI. *AI translation was used for the English and Chinese translations. *All Japanese character voices were generated using AI voice synthesis.
Malware Tycoon uses AI to the most minimal extent possible. This includes some music (but never any lyrical content) and a minimal subset of graphics (less than 5%). AI is not used liberally in the production of Malware Tycoon, and where a feasible effort can be made to exclude it, that effort is executed.
AI is used for translation, some SE,Texture.
We use AI partially, in conjunction with manual training and verification for: 1) Creating dialogues and interesting plots, as well as unusual tasks 2) Generation of art, landscapes and surroundings 3) Generation of marketing materials (memes, images, game icons, UI elements, etc.) 4) Optimizing the game on weak devices 5) Optimization of large game areas
We used AI to generate pre-rendered images for the in-game paintings, as well as the opening and ending cutscenes.
AI will be limited to marketing materials and probably some in-game images to improve the graphic quality of the game interface.
The room images featured in the game, as well as those in the item store and on the store page (including the game icon and other related artwork), are generated using artificial intelligence. AI is not used in any other aspect of this product.
This game uses AI translation to support multiple languages.
In our effort to provide a visually appealing experience, we have incorporated generation tools for some secondary visual elements, such as 2D portraits. Most of the artistic resources that require greater attention to detail have been developed manually. This has allowed us to maintain an artistic standard and ensure that each component of the game reflects a unique and engaging atmosphere.
As a solo developed project generative AI has been used to improve visual quality of concept art, along with the creation of some bespoke 3D assets of the Celestial Isle.
Campaign Clash features a blend of handcrafted and AI-assisted visuals to bring the game to life. While AI was used to help generate some of the game's imagery, all assets were carefully curated, edited, and refined to ensure they align with the game's style and feel.
Music Generation (Licensed)
Generative AI tools are used to create the images for the game and some of the text.
AI generated paintings on wall and localization
The game uses Artificial Intelligence to only generate the main image of the game, that is the logo image, that is shown in the cover of the game, the store pages, and the launch icon.
The music is AI generated. The Chinese translations are AI generated.
AI like ChatGPT is used to check edit dialog and UI texts because English is my second language. Let me know if I made mistakes anyway.
The logo and music are generated by AI. I have the right to use them.
This game uses music generated by AI technology (Suno platform)
A minimal amount of non-essential content (such as minor textures and some translations) was created with limited AI assistance. No core gameplay, narrative, or artistic content was generated using AI.
graphical elements, movie posters etc. Some songs in the radio are AI-generated.
In New World Order - Anarchy Collapsed, AI is used to generate pre-rendered design assets that include country images, building designs, army units, and other visual elements crucial to creating a rich and diverse game world. These AI-generated assets help add variety to the visuals, ensuring each faction and territory feels unique within the game's post-apocalyptic setting. All AI-generated content is produced during development and reviewed to fit the game’s artistic style and strategic gameplay. AI is not used to generate content or code dynamically during gameplay. Instead, the pre-rendered assets contribute to the overall experience by enhancing the diversity and depth of the game’s world without real-time AI intervention.
HUMAN FREELANCE ARTISTS designed the locations and the characters' original looks. Proofs https://five-mysterious-murders.com/artwork/2.jpg https://five-mysterious-murders.com/artwork/1.jpg However, I enriched some artwork using AI to make the game look more diverse. Voice acting was done entirely by AI. I will replace everything made by AI as soon as I have a bit of money. If this doesn't work for you, please don't buy the game. Yours, Silencer
Only some character voices, radio tracks, and billboard advertisement textures were created using AI tools. The rest of the game's assets and models are sourced from artists and designers.
Character voices are AI generated.
AI tools were used to help create some in game assets. In all such cases, the final product reflects our team’s craft and creative vision.
Some images in the game were created using AI.
A.I. Generated Buildings
AI is used in the game to improve the quality of audio tracks.
All background images and character illustrations are created by generated AI.
I've used AI for two things: to improve some texts that rely heavily on narration, like those you find in the Challenge mode; and also to improve the French translation. Everything else has been designed by a standard human brain!
The original illustration is loaded and the illustration is generated by AI.
The Jigsaw puzzle images were generated using AI. The store page artwork includes modified versions of AI generated artwork.
some Audio and Graphics where created with the help of AI
As a Solo Developer, AI was used mostly for things that would otherwise take too much time or finance, such as: Voice Lines, SFX, and custom Images. AI type used: Voice Changers, Image Generators, and Audio Generators.
This game uses AI to generate the art assets
During the development process, I may utilize procedural and AI-based tools to assist in the creation of certain content, including voiceover audio. In all cases, these tools are used as part of the creative process, and the final product reflects my artistic vision and expression as the developer. For example, I may use voice-changer tools or AI-assisted generation to create the voices of characters during in-game dialogues and cutscenes.
Pre-generated voice Text-to-Speech as productional placeholders where it makes sense creatively. Placeholders will be replaced by real voice acting as development continues. Please note: All voices were used consensually and voice actors were compensated for the use of their voices.
The music played within the game utilizes generative AI.
