Public Steam disclosure research 25,394 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Some of game's sound effects, music and textures are AI-generated
Generative AI was used to create variations of character, UI and background images.
We use edited images that incorporate AI-generated pictures for posters and product labels within the game.
Way Nd Choice uses pre-made illustrations using Midjourney because the developer can't draw. All of the illustrations in the game were created without retouching using a text-generated illustration program and are not aimed at a specific person's art style. Other than the main illustrations, the UI, code, and sound effects are AI-agnostic.
The artwork of the townspeople and the collectible artwork in the "Image Gallery" used generative AI.
Game Icons and Cover created.
AI is used for parts of the English localization and for localization into other languages.
Steam store page assets as well as some in game UI were created using a combination of hand drawn artwork and AI generated content.
We used image generation for concept art, some 2D assets, promo materials, and voice acting for AI characters.
I used AI as a base translations to languages other than English, Spanish, Catalan. I believe it's better AI translation than no translation. Also used AI to generate the images of the relics.
There is one Image on the Top that is Partially AI generated, and there are 2 songs in the game that are AI... but nothing else.
Some Artwork is AI Generated on Local Machines during Creation of the Game. We're a small Group of Students and do not have all the Ressources to fully Create all Art by ourselves.
Double Crossed uses generative AI tools to help proofread and suggest minor edits to written text (e.g., in-game dialogue and marketing copy). No generative AI is used to create or alter in-game visuals, audio, or gameplay content.
We use AI to pre-generate some in-game banners and icons. Some of this generated content is used as reference and then modified by our in-house art team.
Our Policy for AI Use Even if, and disclose from time to time that, we use AI in some of our products, it never means that our product consists of AI-generated content, which is simply impossible but may be presumed by some people. We continue our due diligence and necessary efforts to come up with the best content. AI is a field that we keep track of and welcome curiously and excitedly. It is something not the world gives us but what we get from the world according to our requirements. However, We always consider the rights of commercial and ethical use of AI. Therefore, we subscribe to their content, pay their respective fee, and keep their receipts/licenses. In this game, we use a few asset generators like open-source make-human generations or some publicly available animations or the generators of the asset store such as the Spaceship Generator or Character Creator 2d, which we have purchased, and which have been around for many years. These assets allow us to design or randomly generate our character models according to our requirements. We are also working on the trailer of the game which might include some elements that we make by distorting some AI images.
Character portraits, in-game prerenders, key art, and scare screens are currently rendered with Midjourney AI. Some of this content may be replaced with human-drawn art if the budget can be found between now and the final release planned for 7/14/24.

Therefore, we subscribe to their content, pay their respective fee, and keep their receipts/licenses. How may we use AI? We may use outsourced AI in a number of different ways in addition to our own in-game AI mechanics, as it gives us uniqueness and originality as we like, and as long as its content is compliant with our above policy: Sound files: We have a large collection of audio clips we have purchased and keep purchasing. We also have the means to make our own sound files. Sometimes we may also use AI-made sounds to make audio clips as well if we fail to find what we are looking for in our archive. Graphics: We may use AI for some of our graphical assets. We have various means like software with which we can create characters, particularly our animated characters in the trailers and cutscenes, which are our own unique designs. We may use AI in this particular game in relation to the environment and some of the ancillary icons, finishings, and corrections. Ideas: We may chat with AI about whether an idea is suitable for the current genre we are working on. However, we plan to discontinue this use of AI as it lacks originality. For example, when we asked for the names of two female characters for a fantasy game, AI suggested “Anya and Ayleen.” They are obviously names used before and we needed to change the names of our two characters. The above use of our AI may naturally appear on our store page as we include fragments from our game to introduce and promote it. This policy may be subject to change depending on the developments, ethical considerations, and circumstances regarding the use of AI in the future.
Card item ICONS in the game are generated by ai
This game uses AI-generated content during its development. Some of the 2D artwork and promotional images were created with the assistance of AI tools. All such content is pre-generated, curated by the developer, and remains static within the final product. The game does not feature real-time AI content generation during gameplay.
Some of the images in the game are generated by AI
At Lovely Bytes, we're not just developers, we're passionate gamers like you. And because we understand the gamer's perspective, we firmly believe that the heart of a truly great game lies in the emotional depth and authenticity that only human creativity can provide. In the development of UNHEIM, artificial intelligence plays a supporting role to accelerate our production, and is used mindfully to help us with certain time-consuming tasks, such as visual brainstorming, or speeding up the process of creating some of the textures. Additionally, AI bravely tackles the Herculean task of turning our chaotic creative thoughts and wild brainstorming scribbles into something resembling coherent, actionable documents. Our approach to AI is to use it as a tool to augment our skills and capabilities, not to substitute the craft elements that are crucial for creating a deeply engaging and memorable game experience. Now go and have fun getting scared to death, knowing that what you experience is the result of a mindful blend of assistive technology and traditional craftsmanship.

We have used AI generated artwork for our store listing, certain in-game art assets have been AI generated however majority of the game is not AI generated.
AI generated character-art using Midjourney license used during the story segments. Some gameplay scripts were coded using ChatGPT for assistance.
Note on voice output: This game uses AI-generated voices for voice output. The dialogues and texts were written by the developers and then set to music using modern text-to-speech systems. The aim is to provide consistent audio quality and make the content accessible to players with different language preferences. Please note that these are not professional voice recordings, but synthetically generated voices.
For Electric Alps, we utilize generative AI to aid in creating background assets and promotional materials, achieving a quality that would otherwise not be feasible for our small studio. All gameplay elements are meticulously handcrafted by our artist for a unique playing experience.
We used generative AI tools to create code, concept art, pixel art sprites, background environments, and store page graphics. All AI-generated content was reviewed and edited by our team. No AI content is generated during gameplay.
Yes, we use AI to generate pre-rendered content for our game. Specifically, we utilized DALL-E to create some of the splash screens and story backdrops featured in the game.
Nearly all content in the game including gameplay, environments, and story was handcrafted. Some cosmetic elements, such as nose-art decals, icons, were AI generated or AI-assisted, then manually refined to match the game's visual style and tone.
some npc phrases are synthesized
AI was used for grammar support and translations into other languages. All in-game content is either developer-made or licensed from purchased assets.
We use AI only to create some images and videos inside the game and some images and videos on the store. All the source code is made by hand, no IA was used for the creation of this game
Some textures in Candy Bandits were initially generated using AI tools and then manually edited and adjusted by our artists to meet our design and quality standards. No generative AI is used during gameplay or player interaction.
Language translations, except for Russian, were done using neural networks. The playing cards in "Koschuny" were created with the help of a neural network. The game cover on Steam was partially created by a neural network and touched up by an artist.
We use a picture ai like Midjourney to generate pictures. We use those picture to combine them with each other in after effects or davinci and then we animate them and put them into our Cards
