Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
AI was used to generate japanese station image
Our unreleased demo contains placeholders of text-to-speech generated audio. We intend to replace these with professional voice actors for the final release.
Generative AI was used to generate the large images and certain UI elements. However, all the final images were manually retouched. The music is original, but AI was used during the creation process.
Game contains AI generated textures.
I used AI-generated images as inspiration in the creation of visuals. These images served as a starting point, and I then manually refined and adjusted them to create the final banners and promotional materials.
Originally the game was developed in 800x600 resolution. Some backgrounds were upscaled using AI.
Some model objects and background music were generated by AI.
We use AI-generated images in the graphic assets on our store page.
We partially use AI-generated illustrations for the creation of items.
Some graphics were based off AI samples and were edited manually by myself to suit my needs. The music is also AI with some remixing.
I use a combination of AI generated voice, music, and some imagery for portraits and logos
Images, description bases, translation - ChatGPT 4o, music by Riffussion All rights are available under the neural network license agreement.
AI is used as an upscaling tool for some in‑game textures.
The promotional image of this game store interface is generated by AI
This game utilizes AI for certain translation tasks and programming.
This game uses generated AI for the following purposes - To generate some of the game's program code - To format text in the store to make it easier to read - To translate text into languages other than Japanese - However, the text rarely appears in the game - No content or code is generated live during gameplay
The basis for some of the sprites were originally generated by AI, and either cleaned or used as inspiration for the final art by us.
Some of the game's visual assets (such as character illustrations and icons) and parts of the music were created using generative AI tools. All AI-generated content is pre-rendered and manually reviewed, and no AI is used to generate any content or code during gameplay.
I used AI for translating the game and occasionally for programming-related questions.
AI has been used to help develop the game's cover art.
Soundtracks and some in-game visuals have been created using artificial intelligence.
Some of the assets in the game are not generated with an AI.
- Simple scripting, code optimization. - Some generated background images (< 10%) - All speech
AI was used to generate game artwork in the menu pages and for some elements of the in-game userinterface.
- AI was used outside this game to generate images that were used in game development. These images were edited manually in image editor softwares to have failures corrected and being adapted to the game. - Logo, basic design cards, UI, icons and animations were drawn by hand. No AI were used in general graphic design. - This game doesn´t use AI during gameplay. This game can´t generate any new images, sounds, fonts, texts, codes or any new content during gameplay or when player isn´t playing. There is no live AI inside this game or any AI that interacts with player inside this game.
We use generative AI for images of people, chewing sounds, sound effects, and so on.
Developer used AI to create marketing materials, community assets, and store capsule images.
Visual AI
AI was used to help create some of the store assets and marketing materials.
Part of the code and all the music were created using artificial intelligence.
In the development of this game, I used AI as a supportive tool to optimize certain workflows, enhance the creative process, and explore new possibilities. While all of the art, coding, and writing were created by me, AI helped streamline repetitive tasks, refine assets, and provide coding insights. My aim was to use AI as an assistant that added value without overshadowing the personal, hands-on approach that defines this game.
The game logo was generated with AI and then I modified it with a graphics editor to fit the game. There is no AI used in the game environment itself. The whole AI thing only concerns the game logo.
Just images/artwork currently
The game features an AI-generated audio soundtrack.
A lot of art materials in the game use AI generation, please pay attention to screening.
At least some of the music was created or modified with the use of AI. I experimented with some AI code generation by creating python scripts that would modify images when run. NOTE: AI did not touch the actual images, it merely codified verbal requests (such as resizing, cropping, merging) into python scripts. FWIW It was a convenient way of finding the correct PIL API to perform the desired action; however, every one of those scripts needed to be modified by-hand before use.
I used an AI to generate images and, so far, only one has been created, the one that appears on the cell phone screen at the beginning of the game.
The title page for game (a castle like structure in a bleak landscape) was generated by AI. Some of the backgrounds for the menus were also generated by AI (stone walls and niches)
We use artificial intelligence to generate pre-rendered content for Monochrome Nemesis, including its store page, marketing materials, and community resources. AI helps us optimize and personalize these elements to offer an engaging and unique experience.
1. The two still images displayed after the SUZUKI PLAN logo after launching the game are generated using a generative AI. 2. The fighter images (capsule and hero) displayed in the Steam client and Steam store are generated using a generative AI, with the exception of the title logo.
Some raw parts of the UI and capsule image generated by AI.
Our game uses AI-generated images as a starting point for background art and concept designs. These AI-generated images are then heavily edited and refined manually by our artists to ensure unique and high-quality assets. AI is not used during live gameplay, and all final game assets are reviewed and modified by human artists before implementation.
Some Graphics, icons or design
We utilized AI to design the game's logo and assist with the localization of the interface, ensuring a seamless experience for players worldwide.
The artist I paid for used AI to generate parts of the cover art. It wasn't disclosed during the commission that they would use AI assets.
Generative AI is used to help in the early stages of products' art creation and some marketing materials.
AI tools were used during development for non-interactive assets: ChatGPT for translation support, Suno for music generation, and Hotpot.ai for some graphic assets. These assets are fixed and do not change during gameplay. No AI is used at runtime or for any user-generated content.
AI has been used to help develop the game's cover art.
Some visuals and models used in this game were created with the assistance of AI tools during development. The game does not generate new content in real time during gameplay.
For Lets Get Loot, we have used generative AI for some store materials and also for some of the music within the game. Aside from this, the gameplay experience does not include in-game generated assets, functionality, or any other form of content.
