AI was used to make some scripts and some voice lines
We combined hands-on development with AI tools to help speed up our workflow, including work on artwork, music, text, and translations. Our team designed and built the game, guided its creative direction, and edited and refined the visuals to match TIP or RIP’s cartoon style.
Current version uses AI generated voices, all other content is human generated including the dialog for the voices.
本游戏包含在开发过程中借助生成式 AI 制作的预生成视觉资源,包括[角色立绘/插画/背景/其他视觉资源]。游戏运行过程中不会生成 AI 内容,也不会连接外部 AI 服务。
Portraits of characters and creatures are generated using Stable Diffusion. They appear in-game and in store page materials. I plan to replace all generated portraits with hand-drawn art. Some in-game labels and text descriptions are placeholders generated by an LLM. I am gradually rewriting them by hand.
Generative AI is used as a supplementary tool, primarily for partial editing of image assets and translation. ※It is not used to generate images from scratch or to create 3D models.
AI tools assisted portions of the pre-produced artwork, text, development code, and audio-production scripts. Music and sound effects use procedural synthesis. No AI content is generated during gameplay, and the Windows game does not connect to an external AI service.
This game is a solo-developed hobby project. Generative AI tools were used as part of the production workflow, including assistance with code, audio, and base visual assets. No generative AI output is used as a final in-game asset; all assets were manually edited, and integrated by the developer. The story, dialogue, and all other written in-game content were written by the developer. All gameplay design, creative direction, balancing, and final content decisions were made by the developer.
Some UI icons were generated using AI, then refined by our artists to suit the UI. All other artwork was created by hand. No AI content is generated during gameplay.
This game was made with the help of generative AI tools. The in-game relic, element, rune and skill icons are AI-generated. The tutorial illustrations were AI-generated and then edited by hand. Some sound effects, and the localization of the interface text into the game's supported languages, were produced with AI assistance. Some of the source code was also written with AI tools. All of it was reviewed and adjusted by a human before release. Nothing is generated while you play, and the game never connects to any external AI service.
During development, generative AI tools were used to assist with portions of the game’s artwork and music. All such content was selected, edited, refined, and integrated by the developer, with final creative direction and implementation handled manually.
As a solo developer with a big dream and limited resources, I want to be entirely upfront how this game was built. The vast majority of this game is completely human-made: I crafted the pixel characters, animations, code, and story over the past 10 years. I also utilized incredible royalty-free and purchased assets from human creators like gyvr, Eunity, RafaelMatos, penusbmic, Winlu, Geoff Harvey. The use of generative AI was for touching up and refining the marketing capsule images using Adobe Photoshop tools.
AI tools helped write the store page text and translate the game's text into other languages. The game's artwork and gameplay are not AI-generated, and nothing is generated by AI while you play.
AI assisted in the design of some game artwork
Some of the game's content was created with the help of generative AI tools and then edited, cleaned up, rigged, animated and integrated by the developer. This includes 3D models of characters and enemies, 2D art such as ability icons, UI elements and some store page artwork, sound effects, and parts of the store page text. All gameplay, design, balance and final assembly were done by the developer.
DEADLUCK V was created using generative AI, including its artwork, music, sound effects and written content. This content was generated during development. The game does not generate AI content or connect to AI services during gameplay.
Some store and library capsule art was produced with image-generation tools (SDXL and a chat assistant) using our own in-game screenshots as the input image. The underlying game content -- models, textures, code, text -- is authored by us without generative AI. All generated art was reviewed by us before publication.
Generative AI was used during development to create pre-generated visual assets for the game, including character artwork, card artwork, backgrounds, visual effects, textures, UI artwork, and promotional materials. All AI-generated content is reviewed and curated by the developer before being included in the game. The game does not use live generative AI during gameplay.
Generative AI helped create/edit art assets and assisted with writing code. All game development and art direction choices were made by a human.
Coding was done with help of generative artificial intelligence. Music was downloaded online from copyright free assets. Art was done by myself with some vfx done with help of generative artificial intelligence. All translations were done by AI, because I don't speak that many languages... I hope in future people can help me translate all these
some code and text translation used AI
We used artificial intelligence to reduce production costs, i.e. localization and the creation of some graphics.
I’m developing NARON as a solo project. I use AI tools to translate the in-game text into additional languages.
The game used AI generated assets. Including Artwork and Audio.
Generative AI tools were used to assist with some promotional/store artwork, minor code edits, and the improvement and iteration of some music. AI-generated content is not created dynamically during gameplay.
Some content in this game was made with the help of generative AI tools and then reviewed and edited by the developer: parts of the 2D artwork (backgrounds, characters, icons), some sound effects, the trailer narration voice, and first drafts of the translated text. No content is generated by AI during gameplay.
During development, this game used generative AI tools to assist in creating some content: some card illustrations, character art, and scene images were initially generated by AI, then manually selected, redrawn, and post-processed by the developer. Some music, sound effects, and text were also created with AI assistance and finalized after item-by-item revisions by the developer. Some assets used on the store page and promotional images were also produced with the assistance of the above tools. The game does not contain any AI content generated in real time at runtime, and does not use any third-party copyrighted characters, assets, or trademarks.
Pre-generated generative AI tools were used during development to assist with some UI assets, text, and localization. All AI-assisted content was reviewed and edited by the developer before inclusion in the game or store materials. No generative AI is used at runtime.
Generative AI was used during development to create and refine pre-generated visual assets for Legends of the Pitch, including character illustrations, environment artwork, card and interface imagery, and promotional artwork for the Steam store. Screenshots and trailers may display these assets. The developer selected, edited and integrated the final content. No AI content is generated during gameplay, and the game does not connect to any external AI service while playing.
Some icons and character sprites were created with the assistance of generative AI, then edited and refined by hand. The remaining artwork consists of pre-made assets and hand-drawn work.
AI was used for assets, code and some sounds
Generative AI tools were used to assist in the development of this game.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with draft text, localization, concept references, and asset iteration. All final content included in the game has been reviewed and edited by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay.
Some images were created with AI image generation: the crew portraits, loading-screen image, and the current store capsule artwork and logo (commissioned artwork will replace the capsule). The game's code was written with AI coding assistants under the developer's direction; ships, weapons and effects are drawn procedurally by that code. All in-game text is written by the developer.
The tower and building art began as 3D models made with AI tools and inside Blender. I edited many of them by hand, then turned them into pixel art with our own pipeline. The characters are drawn by hand in Aseprite. Some in-game text and the translations were written with AI assistance.
Generative AI assisted the creation of scientific illustrations, scientist portraits, felt textures, card-pack art, text and translations. These are fixed assets included in the game. There is no live AI generation during play.
Generative AI tools were used during development to create some visual assets, including card and encounter illustrations, the game icon, and certain visual effects, as well as music and some sound effects. AI tools also assisted with in-game text, localization, and store-page copy. This content is prepared before release. The game does not use generative AI to create content during gameplay.

Due to budget constraints, I’ve had to rely on AI to create the soundtrack and translate the game into languages I don’t speak (all languages except English and Spanish). I know it’s not the same as working with professional musicians and translators, and I’d really like to change that in the future. If the game is well received and gets enough support, I’ll be more than happy to invest part of that support into working with professionals and replacing these AI-generated elements. Thank you for giving the game a chance and for supporting this indie project.
Transparency is important--I built this game with extensive AI use, from coding to visual assets. If that's not your thing, I respect that. The game is free and I have no intention of adding anything in-game to buy. I just wanted to make something fun and see what I could do. Hopefully, it feels like some effort and creativity went into this and it's not just slop.
Goliath Rogue was made with the help of generative AI. During development, we used generative AI to assist with some character art assets and early UI concepts. All related assets were subsequently refined and manually adjusted extensively by professional artists and other team members to ensure the finished work matched the game's distinctive style and quality standards.
