Public Steam disclosure research25,376 disclosures tracked
Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
* Contents below are copied from the game, the soundtrack does not use any Generative AI technology.
User will be able to talk in freeform with the NPCs within the game world according to the environment given to them.
Some of the evidence (photos on the wall, book covers) have been created using AI tools
We used generative AI for: art on the store page, and some in-game textures. Each AI-generated content was then manually adjusted by our in-house artist to ensure the presence of human input in the art and high quality of the game.
Some UI textures and the musical pieces (except theme song) have been created with the help of generative AI.
Contrary to some beliefs, all 3500 products are modelled and textured from scratch (except a few hundres which is from packs) by hired designers over the course of 3 years.
The New Boss: Football Club utilizes pre-rendered generative AI to enhance the depth and visual variety of its world. This includes:
Character Portraits: Thousands of unique AI-generated faces for players and staff to ensure every 'fake name' in our database has a distinct identity.
Environmental Artwork: AI-assisted imagery used in game menus, background art, and narrative events to create a gritty, atmospheric 5th-league experience.
Marketing Materials: Select store assets, trailers, and promotional videos have been created or enhanced using AI tools to visualize the journey of the 'New Boss.'
All AI content is pre-rendered and integrated into the game files to ensure a high-quality, stable, and consistent experience for all players.
Some music and graphical elements (ie. music that plays during scenes, pictures that display during scenes, etc.) were edited and/or created using AI. These technologies are used sparsely throughout the game, and the entirety of Cryspace's story, characters, UI elements, etc. were not created using any AI technologies.
I (Creekside Interactive) use AI generated music via SUNO. In which I (Creekside Interactive) own all the rights to song(s) generated by SUNO as stated in the SUNO commercial license purchased by Levi's Arts LLC.
FACEMINER is a concept-driven game that directly engages with the ethics of AI. For thematic purposes, the game features faces which have been generated by a GAN (Generative Adversarial Network) trained on the FFHQ dataset, a research dataset released by NVIDIA that is the backbone of many real-world facial recognition applications. Per NVIDIA, only images under permissive licenses were collected.
The 'AI training' in this game is fictional and has been simulated for entertainment purposes. The game can be interpreted as a critique of AI specifically relating to the ecological impact of mass data hoarding, surveillance concerns, and way it is used to compound corporate power.
Since the game is primarily UI-based, we use AI-generated art in update posts to visually showcase new features, rather than displaying only updated interface elements each time.
PatchWorld includes optional generative AI tools that players can use to create custom content for their worlds and devices.
Players can generate images, 360° skyboxes, 3D meshes, and audio samples by entering text prompts using in-game tools such as the GenieBox device or scripting blocks. Each generation is initiated directly by the player and takes a short amount of time to complete.
Generated content can be used to decorate worlds, create sound effects, and build custom musical instruments. By default, all generated content remains private to the creator and is only shared with others if the player chooses to publish their world.
Generative AI features are entirely optional and are designed to support creativity, experimentation, and collaborative world-building.

We do not use generative AI for models, textures, animations, audio, etc. All visuals are handmade with love!
To allow quickly updating the game during Early Access, we use a combination of machine translation, human review, and entirely human authored localization. The current state of languages is: Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Russian are mostly human authored; French and Spanish are machine translated with human authored revisions; German is machine translated. Our goal is to increase the amount of human authored localization over time.
Project Electric Sheep uses generative AI to create character conversations inspired by your dream prompts, as well as to tailor dream worlds to your chosen topics. Below is some more information about which generative AI services we're using in PES, and how:
1. We use ChatGPT to generate NPC dialogue when dream worlds are created and when you reply to an NPC. We use AWS to generate voices for our NPCs.
2. We also use ChatGPT to write in-game world building details, such as graffiti and advertisements, as well as to create the dream description that displays on the dream loading screen.
3. We use DALL·E 2 to paint in-game murals inspired by your dream prompt.
4. Lastly, during the dream generation phase, we use ChatGPT to make creative decisions about world design based on the given dream prompt.
We use AI-generated content in various aspects of Coin Pusher Casino to help deliver high-quality results within our capabilities. All AI-generated assets are created during the development process and are implemented as static (pre-generated) content.
Currently, the following AI-generated assets are used in the game:
• Text
• Voice (new)
AI-generated text is used for:
• In-game text and translations (localization)
• Steam Store descriptions, updates, and announcements
• Social media communications
• Customer support responses (to assist in providing clear, precise troubleshooting, including multilingual support)
AI-generated voice is used for:
• Arcade announcer voice
We are committed to transparency and will communicate any future changes to our use of AI-generated content.
Some artworks featured in Mautix’s official exhibition spaces were created by artists using AI-assisted illustration tools.
These are pre-rendered, artist-owned, and licensed for non-commercial display within the app.
Mautix itself does not generate any content or code using AI during gameplay.
Airtaxi Coach is an AI trained game character called Diana that is trained on the latest flight manuals, as well as the latest industry knowledge on airtaxis, flying cars and the future of mobility. You can ask her any question about the game Metapilot or flight in general, and she will help you navigate the game as well as help you to earn tokens in the game and earn cool perks! Metapilot perks include invited to events, tokens you can spend on our website, and even the chance to get training to become a real airtaxi pilot!
A.I. upscaling is used to generate high resolution textures where only low resolution images exist. e.g. low resolution satellite terrain.
Text-to-speech tools are utlised to provide radio communications during Early Access development.
Some original music tracks have been enhanced using A.I. tools such as mastering, stem splitting, extension and variation creation.
In all cases the original track's copyright is fully owned by JimmyArcade Ltd.
Just used AI to help draft my answers, then I review them to make sure they are appropriate for what it is drafting answers for on the storepage.
I have also used AI to help me build some functions in the game for determining the calculations for player stats such as temperature and stomach system.
Political Arena is being produced by a small team on a tight budget. We’re proud to have worked with a number of gifted artists, designers, developers and other creators on many of our core systems and assets.
We have employed AI art assets only when it exceeds our budget capacity to provide fair wages for our team. We have employed AI to create or modify specialized, low-frequency art assets including art for certain event windows.
Nearly all of our game’s most visible art assets, including its UI, backgrounds and character art were all produced by experienced artists.
As a solo dev, I use custom-trained AI tools for a small portion of the visuals/audio, based on assets I own or created. The vast majority of my development effort goes into the realistic rocket simulation and engineering systems.
