Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Some visual assets were created using generative AI during development.
backgrounds and logo created by AI.
Some of the art, music and text in this game were created with the help of generative AI tools, then selected and edited by the developer. Nothing is generated while you play.
Tamagong uses generative AI in three places during development: Translation: the game's eight languages were translated with AI assistance. Audio: some sound effects and ambient tracks were produced with AI assisted tools. Art & Visuals: some art work began from AI generated output, which was then edited by hand for style consistency. Concept images were also generated as reference while designing monsters and locations.
Generative AI tools were used to assist with localization during development. All in-game art assets were hand-drawn, manually edited, and refined by the creator. No generative AI is used while the game is running.
The game's user-interface text was written in English and Thai by the developer. The other 12 language files (interface and subtitles) were machine-translated with an AI language model, then reviewed and corrected by the developer. No artwork, music, sound, characters, game rules, or store assets were generated by AI. The game does not generate any content with AI at runtime and does not connect to any AI service.
Parts of this game's content were produced with generative AI tools. No content is generated at runtime. Every asset shipped with the game was produced, reviewed and approved prior to release.
AI was used for assets, code and some sounds
Generative AI was used as a supporting tool for selected elements of the artwork. Most elements were extensively modified and adapted through substantial hands-on work, including repainting, rigging, and animation.
I'm a solo developer, not an artist or musician. So I used AI to help create some of the artwork and music for this game. Everything else (code, game system, UI design, mission design, story planning, and overall creative direction) is entirely my own work. I also reused some hand-drawn pixel art from my previous game, created entirely without AI. If you prefer games made without generative AI, please check out my previous release. It's entirely human-made, with deeper mechanics and more systems to explore!
Generative AI was used to create some content, including certain images, music, text and translations, as well as some store and promotional materials. AI-assisted content was created in advance; the game does not generate AI content or connect to external AI services during gameplay.
Generativer Inhalt: Bild, Props
Generative AI was used during development to assist with the creation and refinement of some visual assets. All AI-assisted content was selected, reviewed, edited, and integrated by the development team. The game does not use generative AI in real time during gameplay.
We used AI as a “support tool” in the creation of in-store visuals and certain in-game UI elements. We use AI solely as a support tool. We never leave the entire process to AI for any task.
Contains Pre-rendered AI generated content. Example: Bunch of posters available at in-game store. The content has right to be used commercially.
Generated Images and 3D Models
PPP is designed, built and managed by a solo developer. AI tools were used to create the store capsule artwork and the in-game character portrait.
Generative AI was used to create three pre-generated images used in the game: the splash screen, loading screen, and main menu background. No other game content was generated using AI, and the game does not generate AI content during gameplay.
Artificial intelligence has been used to create localisations in languages other than Polish and English. If you spot any errors in the translation, please let us know on our Steam discussion forums so that we can correct them! Whilst working on the game in Early Access, we occasionally use AI technology to generate a small number of missing graphical elements in order to speed up game updates. This is a temporary solution, and we will replace all generated images by the time the full version of the game is released.
AI tools were used in the creation of some of the game's artwork. All AI-generated assets were subsequently reviewed, edited, and refined by me or a family member before being incorporated into the game. No AI-generated content was added to the game without prior human review and editing.
Some art and promotional assets were created with the help of AI tools, and AI assisted the developer during coding.
Spirit Gems features artwork developed with generative AI.
Generative AI was used during development and in the creation of sound and some artwork.
Generative AI tools were used selectively during development to assist with certain text, data and visual workflows. Baseline Basketball Manager is developer-directed, with its gameplay systems, simulation logic, balancing and final content curated by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay.
Some of the artwork that ships with Football Ambition 27 was made using generative AI tools. That covers the club badges and competition logos in the default database, the menu and screen backgrounds, the stadium and facility illustrations, and the library of face parts the game builds portraits from. The national flags are not among them. Faces are built while you play. Every player, coach and youth prospect gets a portrait the moment they exist, including people generated seasons into your save, assembled by the game from that shipped library of parts. It is ordinary code doing the assembling, not an AI model, and it can only ever use art that came with the game. The game does not connect to any AI service. There is an optional feature, switched off by default, that lets you connect your own AI chat assistant to the in game database editor, so it can help with jobs like renaming clubs or building a scenario. It runs only if you turn it on, and it only reaches your own files on your own computer.
Some 3D props and textures in this game were created with the help of generative AI tools during development. Every generated asset was then reviewed, edited, retextured and integrated by hand, and anything that did not meet our quality bar was rebuilt or discarded. All gameplay, code, level design, systems and written text are human-made. The game does not generate any content with AI while you play.
The game is free-to play and contains AI generated artistic elements
Some backgrounds, item artwork, character portraits, vehicles, icons, and store artwork were created using generative AI during development. These assets are pre-generated. The game does not generate AI content or connect to external AI services during gameplay.
Some pre-generated content — the fictional league, club and player name pools, portions of descriptive and flavour copy, the arena photograph used on the title and store presentation, and parts of the store description — was created with generative-AI assistance during development, then selected, reviewed and edited by the developer. No content is generated at runtime, and no player data is sent to any AI service.
Generative AI was used with human review to assist with portions of the store page text, promotional artwork, and illustrative building blueprint previews. These illustrations are development artwork; actual gameplay appearance may vary. During gameplay, a locally running language model generates text responses in the AI OS tablet and robot chat interfaces. Robot gathering and construction actions use programmed game systems. The language model runs on the player’s computer and does not require an external third-party AI service.
In-game text (bee facts, item descriptions, achievement lines) and store page copy were written with the assistance of an AI writing tool, under the developer's direction and review. All artwork is pixel art drawn by the game's own code, and all audio is synthesized or CC0 field recordings — no AI-generated images, audio, or music.
The game uses generative AI to create some of the 2D pixel-art sprites and character animations. All such content is manually reviewed and edited before being included in the game.
Generative AI was used during development to create selected pre-generated visual assets, including environmental, vehicle, map, and marketing artwork. These assets were reviewed and integrated by the development team. No generative AI is used during gameplay.
Studs Up! ships some pre-generated AI content. All of it was reviewed and edited by hand before it went into the game: - Player portraits and the end-of-season win/loss backdrops: image generation, converted down to the game's limited-palette pixel formats. - The match music loop and the match sound effects: audio generation, edited and loudness-normalised. - The announcer voice in the trailer: voice generation. No AI runs while you play. The game is fully offline and generates nothing at runtime.
AI Disclosure Statement:Code Optimization: AI tools were used as an assistant during development to review the C# source code and optimize algorithms for better in-game performance (higher FPS).Localization: The translation of game texts into multiple languages was generated using AI translation tools and manually reviewed for quality.Visual Assets: The loading screens were created with the assistance of AI image generation tools and polished for in-game integration. All generated content has been verified to ensure it does not infringe on existing copyrights.

This game started with my own ideas. Its development, design, sound, and graphics were all created using AI. AI-generated content was created during development. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay or connect to external AI services.
Generative AI was used during development to help create some visual assets included in the game, including artwork and models, and to assist with translation of in-game text. Generative AI was also used to create promotional artwork and help write the descriptions on this Steam store page. These materials and translations are prepared in advance. The game does not use AI to generate content or code during gameplay and does not connect to external AI services.
Aetas is designed, directed and built by a single developer. Generative AI was used as a development assistant: it helped write code and tools, the in-game texts and their English/Dutch localization, and the store page texts, all under the developer's direction and review. No AI image generation was used: all sprites and tiles are hand-drawn Liberated Pixel Cup art by human artists (credited in the game folder), or assembled programmatically from that art. The trailer music was produced by a synthesis script. The game does not generate any content with AI during gameplay and does not connect to any AI service.
AI tools were used selectively during development to assist with store page text and the preparation of certain promotional assets.
Some game art created by generative AI
Player portraits that will ship with the game will be generated in ComfyUI. Claude Code has been used for debugging, testing, and painful algorithm assistance (scheduling).
Some of the in-game text was drafted with the help of an AI language model and then reviewed and edited by the developer.
This game's cat characters are based on art assets we created, expanded with generative AI into a variety of patterns and colors. Generative AI image tools were also used at the concept stage for the store page's capsule images and icons. Players can also optionally register their own free Google API key to chat with their cats or check today's fortune. This feature connects live to Google's Gemini API while the game is running to generate responses; the rest of the game can be enjoyed the same way without registering a key.
Generative AI tools were used to assist in the creation of certain visual assets during development. All final in-game content was reviewed and edited by the developer. No AI-generated content is produced during gameplay.
Pre-generated content only. The game contains no live or runtime AI generation and makes no network connection. Visual art: the pixel art in this game — sprites, backgrounds, key art, banners and icons — was produced with the assistance of generative AI image tools and then edited, composited, recoloured and assembled by hand for use in the game. Written content and store text: the encounter text and the store description were written with AI assistance and edited by the developer. Everything shipped was reviewed by a human before it went in. No content is generated while the game is running.
AI has been used to create certain assets for Bonsai Life. These assets include Japanese interior models, lanterns and benches.
In the trailer's song, NPC voices (although its only a placeholder) and 2 NPC's shirt textures.
Generative AI was used in the editing of the main visual image and in the prototyping of some of the music tracks.
