Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Currently using AI for music / sounds, and I may use it for some art while the artist does their move across country. There will be ZERO gen-ai content in the final product. These will be used for place holders / testing purposes ONLY.
AI-generated content is used selectively in this game to enhance visual and audio presentation. Specifically, AI-generated images are utilized for store page artwork, in-game billboards, and a few textures applied to non-essential assets. Additionally, AI voice generation is used for certain character voices to streamline development and maintain stylistic consistency. All AI-generated elements are carefully curated and integrated to support the game’s atmosphere without compromising originality or gameplay experience.
The game features voice acting generated using AI-based voice synthesis tools. All dialogue lines were written by the developer, and AI was used solely to provide voices for characters. No user data or likenesses were used.
The following art assets are generated by AI:
- In store page capsule images
- Character portrait images
- Game level backgrounds and card backgrounds images
Use of AI in This Game:
This game uses AI-generated content to a limited extent. Some in-game images were created using AI tools, primarily due to budget constraints as we are an independent team without full-time graphic designers. Additionally, AI was used to assist in writing certain parts of the code to speed up development.
Some visual assets were created using generative AI tools as part of the concept art process, then refined and finalized by human artists. No AI content is generated during gameplay.
Our game uses AI primarily to support functions that would traditionally require a larger development team. Due to our limited resources, we integrated AI tools to streamline content generation and support game balancing.
As a solo developer, I used AI to create some textures and marketing art (e.g., Steam capsule images) for the Dartmour: Tablets of the Ancients demo, as well as for coding assistance during development. The demo does not use AI for live-generated content or code during gameplay. The future full game, The Tablets of the Ancients: Chapter I - Dartmour, will feature an LLM to enhance dynamic storytelling, with details to follow closer to release.
The game leverages AI to produce in-game text on the fly (character inner monologues, dialogue, and scene descriptions) while also powering gameplay decision-making.
Embedded LLM for generating lore friendly Daily Journal based on event happening in the Outpost.
Might contains placeholder assets created during prototype to be replaced later during development.
AI-assisted tools were used to upscale and enhance some in-game textures, to help add visual detail to the original artwork. All final assets were artist-reviewed and then integrated by the development team
Certain marketing and store materials were partially assisted by generative AI tools to support the solo development process. All in-game visuals and assets were created manually by artists, reflecting genuine human artistry and design.
Some visual assets such as enemy designs and background art were created using AI-generated content, and all sound effects were sourced from royalty-free libraries such as Freesound.org. Localization was assisted using machine translation tools, with manual review and adjustments. No AI was used in the game's code or core gameplay design.

Due to my limited funds, the art assets of this game are created using MidJourney and 即梦 AI,All AI outputs undergo human curation to ensure compliance with intellectual property regulations and artistic coherence with the game's steampunk aesthetic.
This game uses generative AI technology in the creation of certain background and character images. The generated assets are not used as-is; they are manually edited and refined as necessary before being incorporated into the game.
