Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.

We used generative AI for the studio's logo design and for the panels displayed in the cutscene when the new game starts.
All translations except English and Russian.
The game uses pre-rendered AI generated voices instead of live voice actors, as well as some AI modified artwork for the marketing material, a very small portion of the in game art assets, and some aspects of the introduction video. None of the content is rendered in real time or live-generated.

Image Generation. text Generation. coding
Based on our Frontline 1 assets, we've leveraged the innovative capabilities of AI to elevate our visuals by enhancing the graphics for some of the background & art images.
All code, graphical assets, and music is 100% ORIGINAL. The cartoon people seen in the trailer were generated with AI. These images make an appearance in short videos played between chapters, and are skippable. No other AI was used for the making of this game.
Every asset in Cyber Sprinters is handmade except for the music. All in game music is AI-Generated.
Some monster and character images are generated by AI
Search for references, polishing of art, help with ideas, creation of 3D blocking.
Generative AI was used to create certain static visual assets, including the “OUTBREAK” text-based logo, the Steam profile background image, and the static background image displayed in the main menu. No AI-generated content is used during gameplay.
Some of the promotional images (store capsules and library assets) were created using AI-generated art and then manually edited.
The cardboard cut out Characters are made using AI.
This game contains pre-created images that were generated using generative AI. The AI content is used only as static graphics within the game and in marketing materials. No AI generation takes place during the runtime of the game.
Art is AI made. Everything is voice acted but What is said is partly made by AI As far as what the voice actor is saying. Some Dialogue and main idea of the story is developer made.
Some visual elements, such as pavement textures, were partially created using AI tools during development.
Used AI to create 1950's style movie posters and game icon and some store artwork.
Audio dialogs are pre-rendered using AI
Yes, AI was used to help generate text for the Steam store page and translations
Some visual assets, including banners and promotional materials, were created with the assistance of artificial intelligence. All dialogue is generated in real time by artificial intelligence, making each interaction unique and dynamic.
During the development of this game, AI tools were utilized to accelerate the production process and to assist a solo developer in realizing their vision. The use of AI was concentrated in two main areas: Coding and Software Development: This AI language model (Gemini) was used as an assistant for writing, debugging, and refactoring the game's C# scripts for Unity. All code logic, game design, and final architectural decisions were directed by the developer. Code snippets generated by the AI were reviewed and integrated into the project by the developer. 3D Model and Asset Generation: AI-powered image and model generation tools were used to create some of the 3D models and other visual assets in the game. These tools served as a source of inspiration and a starting point to speed up the development workflow. All generated assets were curated, edited, and finalized by the developer to fit the artistic vision of the game. The creative vision, game design, and the final version of the game were shaped entirely by human direction and effort.
I personally feel the final artwork reflects my own creative input as I used original images and applied manual edits without any AI tools during the post-processing phase, however Steam’s requirement is based on the origin of the asset, not the amount of human editing afterward. AI was involved in the initial generation of the capsule art, and other images on the store page. AI is not used for live generation or code during gameplay.
Some in game textures are AI generated, and parts of the steam page images.
Space Mantlet uses AI to generate in game voices and translation text in game and in the store. Voice Synthesis Powered by: Coqui TTS – Mozilla Public License 2.0 Model: tts_models/en/vctk/vits (based on the VCTK corpus)
We used generative AI tools to help us create some of the pictures of this store page.
Part of visual assets in game background was generated by AI.
In the early stages of development, localization uses a mix of AI-assisted translation and human review out of necessity. The shift to full human localization is planned the moment the project can support it.
Some textures include visual elements partially created with AI (e.g., artwork on a CD cover). All final assets were assembled, edited, and implemented by the developer.
Developed using a hybrid production workflow combining traditional digital art, manual refinement, and modern tools
AI was used to create the visual art, music, voices, and sound effects. Abomination Ops was developed to demonstrate how modern artificial intelligence tools can be harnessed to craft a fully cinematic experience accessible to everyone. The story, world, and characters were conceived and written by a human being.
The game uses pre-created images (background illustrations and some in-game items) generated using generative AI tools. All such content has been edited, stylized, and integrated by the development team, and will be replaced before release.
The game is created by myself. Hand made logic, scripting, scenario, animation and music. As a solo developer, AI was carefully used to help me creating only 3D models and some illustrations.
Optional local LLMs are integrated to provide advice during gameplay. No assets are made with GenAI.
AI-generated content is used for the store page and marketing materials.
Certain resources, including music and images, were created with the assistance of AI. No AI systems are included. The game does not generate text, dialogue, code, levels, characters, or voices in real time during gameplay. 일부 AI로 만들어진 리소스 - 음악, 이미지 사용되었음. As a solo developer, I utilized AI technology during development to speed up the generation of art assets. However, please rest assured that all AI-generated content underwent my strict hand-picking, refinement, and optimization. The final game's art style, art direction, and all creative decisions were entirely led, controlled, and are the sole responsibility of me, the developer. Sincerely thank you for your understanding and support!
This game uses AI to help create some pre-rendered visuals, 3D assets, and images, while all gameplay content is tested by hand for a unique player experience.
Generative AI was used to create some visuals and store page capsule images.
Promotional artwork for R.E.M. Rage was created using AI-assisted tools. These assets are used solely for marketing purposes and do not reflect the in-game visuals or assets, which were created manually.
Some still images in the game were created using generative AI.
We used AI for quick prototyping and then to edit some of our images to meet the various image size requirements Steam requires.
1 AI portrait-generated was used inside level-1 of Erik's office's space. This piece of asset was made inside the game as a portrait made by a rich painter for the villain. All story writing, gameplay logic, and player experiences are entirely human-designed and directed.
We used AI for rapid prototyping or for minor edits to locked resources. A few resources stayed in the game.
We harness AI to supercharge our creative process—not to replace human artists, but to elevate them. By automating repetitive tasks, we give our team more time to focus on storytelling, world-building, and game design. Within the game itself, we leverage generative algorithms and AI to create dynamic levels, evolving enemy behavior, and unique puzzle scenarios—ensuring every playthrough feels fresh and alive.
decotrative Drawings in-games and Trailer musics are only AI generated contents
We are using AI to generate promotional, steam store, and other marketing, visual assets. We are also using AI to assist with software development.
AI dialogue is written in collaboration with AI
Placeholder Voices
The trailer music in the game store and the music in the game were generated using AI. However, the lyrics in the music were written by a human.
