Used to create visual assets for the game
We use artificial intelligence to create graphics such as game covers and other banners. We don't use AI at all in the game itself.
Trailer, marketing images
The backgrounds and card icons in this game are created using AI.
Generative AI is used in a responsible manner
The art for the backgrounds were initially created by AI. I am in the process of converting all AI art into commissioned art. There are 5 AI art PNGs left. Soon they will all be replaced. A special thanks to all the support that makes buying commissioned art possible!
AI systems were used to generate all in-game music, the majority of visual assets, and select portions of the game's code.
Music and some UI elements generated with AI
Certain graphical assets (such as icons and avatars) and sound effects were created using AI-based tools.
Illustrations used in this game were generated using AI. Generative AI was used to assist with translation and programming.
Concept for some of the game characters, store images art.
KI is used to generate images/visual art for backgrounds or emotes.
In my game development process, I used GitHub Copilot to enhance coding efficiency. During the creation of promotional images and videos, I may have used images generated by Stable Diffusion or music generated by Suno. But these assets will NOT appear in the actual game!
We used AI to generated the background images for the store page and then edited them in a photo editing software. We also generated some tapestries for our battle types.
Concept art was generated by AI
Part of the game concept art production and UI design was produced with reference to generative AI.
This game uses AI-generated and post-edited content for the presentation of scenes and characters.
Some character and weapon images are created using AI.
Some temporary sound files and graphic resources during development
I used AI to generate some 2D image assets 1 Promotional images on the game store 2 Images of in-game hero commanders, player-customized avatars, artifact images, game interface background images, game loading interface images
Card background images are AI Generated as a base and transformed into live 2d pixel art.
Ai was used to create the backgrounds of the steam advertisement pictures with the "Shoot Until You Rest" title on it. To clarify: The screenshots did NOT get modified by ai. A few assets are based on an ai generated image that was further modified with picture-editing-tools(for example the puddle of the slow grenade).
AI was only use to generate the game's cover art
No generative AI content.
We used AI-assisted tools to enhance poster art and user interface elements, starting from custom designs created in Photoshop or purchased. AI was used to refine the material look, adding depth, texture, and polish to existing artwork—helping elevate the game's presentation while staying true to its original style. Every asset was directed and crafted by hand, with AI used as a supportive tool for enhancement, not generation from scratch.
Generative AI was used for proofreading some in-game text.
In "Lone Howl", artificial intelligence is utilised carefully and responsibly to enhance the player's experience in various aspects of the game: Images and Banners: We have used AI beforehand to create some of the banners and loading screen images you will encounter throughout the game. This allows us to generate unique visuals that capture the dark and mystical atmosphere of the "Lone Howl" universe. It’s important to note that these images were generated prior to release and do not involve any adaptation or analysis based on player behaviour. Translations: AI is also employed to assist with the translation of the game into different languages, ensuring that the narrative and dialogues maintain their essence and fluency, regardless of the language in which the game is played. Dialogue and Voices: Some of the characters' dialogue and voices were generated or enhanced using AI. This allowed us to bring characters and creatures to life with a vocal diversity that enriches the player's immersion. It’s important to highlight that we do not use algorithms that study or analyse players. All AI use in "Lone Howl" is applied statically, with the goal of complementing the experience without compromising privacy or the authenticity of the content.
I used AI in the following way: - creating the voices of Ben and Jane - creating a base for further processing and overpainting (images in the intro scene)
This game utilizes generative artificial intelligence for refining the game scenario.
Some AI generated in-game Images Included
The background illustrations, unit icons, technology icons, and building icons in the game are generated by AI and then manually modified. Other materials are hand-drawn.
Gen AI used for visual assets
AI is used to generate NPC dialogue and behavior.
Yes, we used AI tools in a limited capacity during the development of our game. Specifically, AI was utilized for certain aspects of the game's text, such as crafting the Steam page description, and for some pieces of code. However, the core development, design, and creative processes were driven by our team(me). The use of AI was supplementary, aimed at enhancing productivity and efficiency, rather than shaping the core elements of the game.
・Some image materials are generated using AI. ・No specific characters are used for material generation.
"I used AI-generated images that I worked with Photoshop on the start screen, lobby screen, and stage selection screen."
The voice over on the "How to play" video is read by AI text-to-speech
Used to create landscapes
A dish image and description will be generated based on the ingredients you cut with the sword.
The game uses AI-generated images for some of the in-game design features.
For the Demo we have used Midjourney for some of our concept and promotional images. Some item icons and specialized textures are made with DALE as a supporting tool
