Where do games disclose AI use?

Generative AI was used to create some in-game character artwork, images used in cutscenes, and to assist with voice-over and subtitle creation.

As a solo developer working with a limited budget, I used generative AI tools to help bring my vision to life and add more variety to the game. Specifically, AI generated 10-20 graphical assets and assisted in creating about half of the game's music tracks. The vast majority of the game (over 95%) - including all core design, programming, and mechanics was created entirely by hand.

This game uses AI for UI and other 2D artwork. AI is also used to generate marketing artwork.

AI tools are used to assist with the localization of in-game and store page text into other languages. All translations are reviewed by the development team and improved with community feedback. Some marketing artwork (store capsules and promotional images) was created with AI assistance, based on the game's own assets, characters and art style. All in-game content, gameplay, art assets and audio design are created by the development team.

AI was used to generate code, art prototypes which were then handcrafted in Aseprite, CSS for UIs, and tedious copy stuffed in nooks and crannies to fill out the world.

Portions of this game's content were created with generative AI assistance under human direction and review: in-game text (social feed posts, event copy), localization into 8 languages, and marketing materials including the trailer. All AI-assisted content was reviewed by the developer. The game does not generate AI content at runtime.

Some visual assets, including certain item artwork, icons, and promotional images, were created or assisted using generative AI. All AI-generated content was reviewed, edited, and curated by the development team before being included in the game.

Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with selected pre-generated content,including some balance-object artwork, reflective text, localization, store-page copy, and selected marketing artwork. All generated outputs were manually reviewed, curated, and edited by the developer before being included. Some game assets used AI assisted coding and tools to help generate and refine them, localisation was done with the help of AI translation.

I received assistance from text-generative AI (LLM) for the English translation (localization) of all in-game text (dialogues, UI, system messages) and for writing the English description on the Steam store page.

Business And Life Simulator, uses generative AI-assisted artwork in some packaging visuals for in-game products/items. Generative AI is not used in any other part of the game, and we are working to remove these AI-assisted visuals before the full release.

AI was used in parts of the character design.

Hot Seat Triage uses AI tools during development only; the game contains no live AI generation at runtime. Code: The game's code was written with the assistance of Claude (Anthropic). All AI-assisted code was directed, reviewed and tested by the developer. Art: The in-game background image was initially generated with Nano Banana 2, then manually edited and finalized by the developer. All other art and UI assets are human-made. Text: Clinical case scenarios were drafted with AI assistance and then reviewed, corrected and medically approved by the developer, an emergency medicine physician. Audio: The theme music and some sound effects were created by the developer using Suno. All AI-assisted content was human-reviewed before inclusion.

Some assets were created with the help of AI serving mainly as inspiration.

A few small things like code organization & small images.

This is not actually required to disclose but since it crosses the line for some people, I should admit that AI coding tools were used during the game's production. No AI was used to generate any images, audio, text, or design. Its purpose was to help code mechanics according to my design, assist in debugging, and (most importantly) eliminate crunch.

Some promotional and store page artwork was created with the assistance of generative AI tools. All in-game art, audio, and text is human-authored. Nothing is generated by AI while you play.

Sound Syndicate uses some AI-generated tools for creating music, audio clips, and visual art assets used within the game.

Bar Baron's game design, code, simulation systems, balance and all in-game text are written by hand.Generative AI was used as a production tool in two places: some of the game's 3D props-furniture, bar equipment, kitchen and decor items-were produced with AI tools, and part of the soundtrack is AI-generated music. Those props were made specifically for Bar Baron, following our own art direction, and were then reviewed, optimized and placed by hand-this is not a game assembled from generic asset packs. Character models are not AI-generated. Nothing is generated while you play. The game runs no generative AI at runtime: every system, every event and every number in the simulation was authored by a person.

This game uses AI-generated artwork for static marketplace listing images including cars, homes, investment properties, boats, and businesses shown in the Assets and Business panels, as well as for Steam achievement icons. All AI-generated content is created during development and shipped as fixed image files. The game does not generate any content live during gameplay and does not connect to any AI service while you play.

AI was used for some translations, music, and visual assets. The game does not create AI-generated content during gameplay, and AI was not used to write the game’s code.

FIRST LINE was designed and directed by its human developer: the gameplay systems, the mechanics, the narrative and every creative decision. The game's code — including the systems that render all visuals and synthesize all audio at runtime — was written with an AI coding assistant (Claude Code) under that direction. The English localization was also produced with AI assistance. No pre-generated AI images, audio, or video assets are included in the game. Parts of the store page text were also written with AI assistance. Store artwork (capsules and icons) is likewise rendered by AI-written code under human direction.

Lo-Fi with Ruka includes optional live generative AI features. Players may provide their own DeepSeek and StepFun API keys to generate short companion chat replies, personalized study-story chapters, and synthesized voice. These features are disabled without player-provided keys. Prompts, the current focus goal or status, and limited recent non-sensitive study context are sent only to the selected providers. API keys and generated content remain local and are not uploaded to Steam Cloud.

Steam capsule art is made with the help of generative artificial intelligence.

This app includes an optional AI chat feature: your cheer character can chat with you in real time, powered by generative AI. Using the chat feature consumes an in-app currency ("gems"), which can be purchased. A background image used on the store/library page (depicting a keyboard and a mug) was also created with the assistance of generative AI tools.

Some of this game's content was created with generative AI tools and then reviewed and edited by the developer. This includes visual assets (2D art, 3D models and characters), some in-game text and localization, and some audio. No content is generated by AI during gameplay.
