Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
We used AI to draft the capsule composition and polish, but all in-game art is hand-made/purchased from artists. The goal was to present the game clearly while staying within a small indie budget.
Generative AI technology is used in a supplementary capacity during the creation of some 2D prop assets.
Any such assets are replaced through our production pipeline by our art and development teams, ensuring they meet our quality standards and creative direction.
Generative AI tools were used as part of the development process to assist with idea exploration, writing support, localization support, and the creation or refinement of some visual and marketing materials. All final content was reviewed, edited, and implemented by the developer.
Some visual assets in the game may involve the use of AI-assisted tools during the early stages of their creation. However, all such assets undergo extensive manual editing, refinement, and artistic rework by our team.
As a result, no artwork in the final game is presented in a purely AI-generated form. All visuals are carefully curated and significantly enhanced to meet our artistic standards.
As I'm the only one designing all aspects of the game and have no budget, I've only used AI to translate the text. If you encounter any problems or if anyone wants to help me with the translation, I'd be very grateful.
Generative AI is used to assist with the creation of some art assets, voice content, and localization/translation. All localized text is reviewed and edited by the developer.
Generative AI was used in a limited capacity during development.
It was primarily utilized for prototyping certain textures and creating visual references.
Additionally, AI was used to generate a vocal track featured in the game's intro sequence.
All other music, as well as the majority of visual and gameplay content, has been created manually.
In the development process of this game "What the dog doing?", generative AI tools are used to assist in creating some meme-related visual materials (including some boss character images and scene decoration elements). All AI-generated content has been manually reviewed, modified and optimized by the developers to ensure compliance, no inappropriate information and copyright issues. It does not involve real-time generated content, does not connect to external AI services, and does not affect the core gameplay and experience of the game.
We used AI tools during development to assist with localization. We also used AI-based tools in the production of some cutscene videos. All outputs included in the game were reviewed and edited by our development team.
Generative AI was used to create specific portions of the game's announcement trailer. No generative AI content is included in the actual game build or demo.”
English and Italian localization have been handled internally by our team. All other currently available languages, such as Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Japanese, Russian, and French, are temporarily supported through AI-assisted translation.
These translations are placeholder versions and will be gradually replaced with finalized localizations leading up to the 1.0 release of the game.
No AI-generated content has been used for any other aspect of development, including coding, art, music, or 3D modeling.
AI assisted tools were used solely for localization and translation of game text and will be replaced by human translations as soon as I am able to afford it. No gameplay systems, visual assets, audio, or runtime content are generated using AI
"I used generative AI tools (GPT and Claude) to assist with scriptwriting and game logic. For visual assets, I used AI image generation tools (Imagine and Midjourney via Discord) to create background art, UI elements, and character illustrations."
Generative AI tools were used to assist with localization, translation, and editing of certain in-game content, as well as some store page content. All AI-assisted content was carefully reviewed and finalized by the development team to ensure quality and accuracy. No generative AI is used during gameplay.
Some small visuals were made using AI completely trained on my own art, since I am a solo developer, it tremendously helped the tedious tasks of icon generation and few other visuals here and there.
Tears of Adria was created by a very small team.
We used our resources to work with three talented artists. Most portraits along with some icons and images are AI-created.
Voice lines are primarily performed by real voice actors, very few are generated and some are AI enhanced.
This game uses generative artificial intelligence to create some of its visual content, particularly the images shown in cutscenes. These AI-generated visuals help bring the story to life and allow for faster iteration and creative exploration.
The cutscene images will be updated regularly as the technology improves and as the game's story evolves. This means you may notice changes in visual quality and storytelling over time, as we continue to refine and enhance the experience.
Generative AI tools are used as part of our development workflow to support concept exploration, character design, visual development, marketing media, video production, 3D modeling workflows, and code assistance. All AI-assisted content is reviewed, edited, and integrated by our development team before being included in the game or store materials. The game does not generate AI content live during gameplay.
