Suno AI was used to compose the atmospheric music tracks and soundtracks for the different realms of the game.
Generative AI was used to develop a portion of the content of this game. Specifically it was used for development assistance, some music and art assets.
A few visual assets are hand-drawn but most of the assets were created by either Perchance or ChatGPT and then heavily cleaned/edited in photoshop by myself to fit into the game. Music was created by Suno and edited in Audacity. Coding was done from scratch, no AI used in that at all.
AI was used to generate a few minor quest item icons. All other assets, code, and character designs are handcrafted or licensed.
Music in the game has been generated using AI tools.
Some art assets in the game were created and optimized using AI.
We used generative AI tools to assist with drafting and localizing store page text. All AI-assisted text is reviewed and edited by our team before publication. The game does not use live-generated AI content during gameplay.
This title was developed with substantial assistance from generative AI.[Store Assets — Visual Content]The key visual, store capsule images, library assets (including the library hero), and certain screenshot backgrounds were produced using image generation AI ("Midjourney v7 / Niji v7") under a commercial license (Standard tier).[Source Code, Game Design, and In-Game Text]The C++ source code, data structures, system architecture, gameplay mechanics specifications, in-game text, item naming conventions, job names, and skill names were developed in collaboration with conversational AI ("Claude" by Anthropic and "Gemini" by Google).[The Developer's Role]Quench Forge handles concept, product vision, product management, final specification decisions, hands-on PIE (Play-In-Editor) testing, bug reports, and release decisions.Code generation, code review, test design, system architecture, game mechanics specifications, in-game text, and marketing materials are all created in collaboration with Claude (Anthropic) and Gemini (Google). Every AI-generated artifact is filtered through the developer's "appraiser's eye" — selected, approved, and revised through specification feedback — before being incorporated into the product. This game applies its own core theme — "an appraiser-shopkeeper who reads materials and Modifiers to forge the right blade" — to its own development process.[Runtime Behavior]No generative AI runs during gameplay. All in-game mechanics operate on compiled, deterministic algorithms (with optional reproducible random seeds). The game does not require any online connection to AI services during play.
All background music and translation/localization were made using AI.
Some assets used on the store page (including promotional images and background art) were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. All AI-generated materials have been reviewed and edited by our team to meet quality and content standards.
Some visual elements in this game, such as textures and illustrations, were partially generated or enhanced using artificial intelligence tools, and then manually refined and integrated by the development team.
Generative AI tools were used to assist in the creation of certain promotional images, store page artwork and trailer visuals. All gameplay systems, game design decisions, implementation and final game content were created, reviewed and integrated by the developer.
Some textures and mesh concepts were initially generated using AI-assisted tools. All assets have been significantly modified, refined, and integrated manually using 3d software. The developer is working to rid the game of AI generated content come launch.
Some Assets(Character, Story, UI, etc) are made by AI Agent.
Generative AI was used in a limited, assistive role during development. All final content has been curated, refined, and approved by the developer to meet the game’s creative direction and quality expectations.
This game uses AI for rapid prototyping, all AI assets should be replaced upon launch. Please report any missed assets on our discord.
Some AI-assistance was used during the development of this game.
This game uses generative AI to assist with the creation of pixel art assets (character sprites, projectiles, icons, capsule art) and to support code development. Our Creative Approach: A Human-First Duo and AI Disclosure We are a passionate two-person team dedicated to bringing 1101 to life. To achieve the visual depth and cinematic quality we envisioned as a small studio, we utilized AI-assisted tools specifically for cinematic refinement, 3D texturing and modeling. Here is exactly how we use AI to support our hand-crafted work: From Concept to 3D Reality Our 3D creation process combines traditional artistry with modern efficiency. Once we finalize a self-made image reference, hand-drawn sketch or a custom-generated image reference, we use AI-assisted modeling tools to convert that 2D vision into a 3D base mesh. The Human Touch This AI-assisted object is only the starting point. As a two-person team, we then step in to manually refine the geometry, adjust the proportions, and hand-modify the details. This "Human-in-the-Loop" approach allows us to bridge the gap between a 2D idea and a high-quality 3D asset, ensuring every object fits perfectly within our world’s hand-crafted design. Cinematics: AI tools helped us polish visuals in our cinematics, allowing us to deliver high-quality storytelling that would typically require a much larger team. Everything else is human-made. From the core gameplay mechanics and level design to the dialogue, music, and sound effects, every "soul" of this game comes directly from our hands. Ultimately, being an indie underdog means being resourceful. Using these tools wasn't about cutting corners; it was about bridging the gap to deliver a high-quality experience that a duo could otherwise never achieve. We’ve used technology to work harder on what matters most: making a game you'll love to play.

Some art assets are sourced from the CC0 asset libraries provided by Kenney. Music and sound effects used in the game are sourced from Phat Phrog Studio and ZapSplat.
Generative AI was used to assist in creating certain in-game UI assets (such as combo icons), the main capsule (cover art), and for code debugging during the development process. All AI-assisted content has been manually reviewed, refined, and integrated by the developer to ensure a high-quality experience.
During development, AI-assisted tools may have been used in a limited role for tasks such as concept support and writing assistance. These tools were used only to assist the development process. All final content choices, editing, implementation, and creative direction were carried out by the solo developer. The game does not include live-generated AI content during runtime.
