Public Steam disclosure research 25,983 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Store page promotional artwork is created with AI.
The icons and store page photos were generated with AI. It was also used to help with the coding.
Developer’s Note: Due to the challenges of solo game development and being a newcomer to the industry, I utilized AI tools to assist in certain areas of production. This includes specific textures, minor 3D models, and parts of the programming logic. However, all voice acting and musical scores are original works, created as a gesture of support by my close friends.
Palimpsest features two visual styles: pixel art and realism point-and-click scenes. Some point-and-click assets are created using a combination of generative AI and Photoshop, contributing to the game’s intentionally unsettling visual tone.
I used AI generation tools to assist in creating the 2D visual assets for the game, including UI elements, enemy shapes, background textures, and the promotional store capsules. All generated images were manually reviewed, edited, and integrated into the game to fit the minimalist neon aesthetic, ensuring no copyright infringement or illegal content is present.

📝 AI Generation Transparency (Steam Store Page) 1. Real-Time Narrative Gameplay (LLM): The core of the game is powered by an advanced Large Language Model (AI) that generates kidnappers' responses in real-time. Unlike traditional games, your dialogues are not limited to pre-written choices. The AI interprets your arguments, your tone, and your creativity to offer unique and unpredictable reactions. We have implemented strict moderation filters to ensure that all interactions remain within the satirical framework of the game and fully comply with Steam’s community guidelines. 2. Pre-Production Creative Assistance: We utilized AI-generative image tools for artistic exploration and concept art during the initial design phases. This allowed us to define the game's "moonshot" and vibrant aesthetic.Important Note: All final visual assets (interfaces, characters, environments) have been retouched, finalized, or recreated by our human team to ensure total artistic consistency and full respect for intellectual property.
Generative AI was used to create the character illustrations and programming for this game.
We used AI to make icons for abilities, and inventory icons. Those icons are being replaced in chunks by our in house artist.
The code, mechanics, and gameplay of 'Sabor de España' do not use generative Artificial Intelligence. However, some promotional graphic elements displayed exclusively on the Steam store page (such as store headers, promotional banners, and base logo designs) have been created or refined with the assistance of AI image generation tools.
This is a solo-developed project created with limited time and resources. Some assets (such as visuals or audio) were partially generated or assisted using AI tools to make development feasible. All such content has been manually reviewed and adjusted to fit the game's atmosphere and design.
AI tools were used only to assist in the creation of certain marketing artwork for the Steam store page. All in-game content, screenshots, and trailer were created without the use of generative AI.
AI tools were used to generate some background environmental artworks and UI elements.
Artificial intelligence was used in some of the art, music, sound effects, and translation.
Artificial intelligence assistance was used in the creation of the Steam images.
Some visual content used in the game and on its store page was created with the assistance of generative AI. All such content was selected, reviewed, and implemented by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay.
AI tools are used in the early stages of visual asset creation. All assets are further refined and processed by the development team. Some voice-over and music content may be generated using AI.
This game uses AI-generated visuals.
Some shipped artwork and written content were created or assisted with generative AI tools during development. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay and does not connect to external AI services while you play.
Steam capsules have been generated with AI.
Generative AI was used during development to assist with some in-game visual art (e.g. building and enemy concept iteration, color palette suggestions), code, and Steam marketing materials (store capsules, achievement icons). Final assets were reviewed and integrated by the developer. All music, sound design, and game design are hand-authored.
AI tools were utilized to assist in programming the mathematical codebase logic, generating promotional background art, and drafting the store page
The visual assets in this game, including character sprites, UI elements, and environmental items, were created with the assistance of Generative AI tools. All AI-generated content has been manually curated, edited, and modified by the developer—including manual rigging and frame-by-frame animation—to ensure a cohesive art style and high-quality gameplay experience.
AI was used to extend the variations in characters and to enhance some of our own visuals. Voices were performed by actual actors or AI voices. Original music was enhanced with AI.

"We utilize AI to assist in various design processes, including stylistic conceptualization, environment concept art, character definition, and color scheme planning."
Some of the 2D artwork in Chaebol Chaos — including character portraits and certain environment illustrations — was created with the assistance of generative AI image tools during development. Every AI-generated asset was reviewed, edited, and approved by our team before being included in the game. No generative AI is used at runtime; the game ships as a static offline experience with no network-dependent content generation.

Artwork: Image assets used on the store page and in the Steam library (capsule images, header images, etc.) and promotional materials. 2. Text: In-game text, store page descriptions, and their multilingual translations.
CARGO CRUSH ZERO is developed with the assistance of AI tools throughout its production. Game code is implemented using Claude (Anthropic) as a development assistant. Background music is generated with AIVA. Visual assets are created using AI image generation tools and further edited by the developer. All creative direction, design decisions, and final output are overseen by the developer.
