Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Many of the images used in the game were generated by AI.
We have sections that use AI: 1. On the character selection page of the game, the character's voiceover is created by AI 2. On the character selection page of the game, the first version of the character's sketch is created by AI. Illustrations in the game's "event" system are created by AI.
Most of the art, backgrounds, characters, and dialogues were generated using different AI technologies and tools.

The game is a research project into how the use of AI would affect game production, so AI has been used for images, voiceovers, code, dialogue and other areas as much as possible. Just to see what sort of results it provides.
Some visuals and audio are AI generated.
Due to budget constraints, some graphics in the game, such as the main interface and event images within events, are AI pre-generated.
To enhance the production process and ensure the highest quality of content, our game incorporates images created with the assistance of artificial intelligence. Additionally, we have utilized AI in the editing process of our extensive in-game texts, ensuring linguistic accuracy and the elimination of errors.
This game uses AI assistance to create some of the 2D art assets.
The game itself does not contain AI generated content at all. But the Steam main image and the Menu background image was created with AI support.
It has translations to the english that I got from I.A. and some of the animations during the gameplay as well.
Three images - out of almost 600 images, videos and other files files included in the game - were prepared using generative AI. The Case of Andrew D. is an Alternate Reality game and player is expected to look for information and clues on the web and in social media. While most pictures used are arranged photos taken in a real life and in real places, to avoid confusion we didn't want to use photos of real people. To make sure people referred to in the game (apart from some cameos) don't exist and can't be located nor stalked, three portrait photos used in the game were produced with AI models.
AI used to assist with background paintings & VO.
The package image of this game was created using multiple AI tools. Part of the background image and background character: Created using Stable Diffusion and provided under the CreativeML Open RAIL-M license. Part of the logo design: Created by Sonic-Alpha using OpenAI's generative AI, "ChatGPT," under the paid "ChatGPT Plus" plan. No AI-generated elements are included in the main game or in-game content.
AI images were generated for use on the store page and as loading screens within the game.
We generate Artwork with AI
Certain graphic elements and textures in this game were created through a combination of licensed generative AI and traditional composition, including some patterns for materials, certain user interface icons, and some character faces.
Used to create music and some artwork for the game
The game includes some temporary AI-generated content (such as images, sounds, or graphical elements) used solely to speed up the development process. All of these assets are provisional and will be progressively replaced with original materials as the project advances.
AI used for current page artwork ONLY. None is used in game.
Unlockable background images were AI-generated. We created tens of thousands of images, curated the best, and manually refined them with hours of inpainting and editing. AI coding tools assisted development. All gameplay mechanics, 22 language dictionaries, design, and concept are entirely hand-crafted.
Some music and graphical elements (ie. music that plays during scenes, pictures that display during scenes, etc.) were edited and/or created using AI. These technologies are used sparsely throughout the game, and the entirety of Cryspace's story, characters, UI elements, etc. were not created using any AI technologies.
DeepL has been used as a tool for aiding the translations, AI has been used for image generation (a complete list can be found in-game), a single song is AI-generated song (can you spot it? ;) It has been exclusively added for the Steam release. In a recent update, we also added optional AI-background music for a part of the game.
Some cutscenes and the game title are AI-generated images.
Ai generated content was use to create this game storepage banner
Some background images in the game have been generated with the help of artificial intelligence.
Our game utilizes AI to assist in creating in-game photographs.
Temporary Artworks and Music
Portraits were generated by AI
DarkSwarm is built by hand, by talented individuals — but we may have used generative AI, among other tools, to visualize ideas during the concept phase, helping us deliver the best possible game experience. In that sense, it has supported the creation of certain environmental assets, images, and props. It's one of many tools in our creative toolbox and is always used alongside handcrafted work.
AI assist in creation of some textures and logos
We are experimentally using generated AI as a reference for some background materials or for textures.
In the development of this title, generative AI has been used in the following areas: - Reference images for background graphics - Programming assistance - Translation assistance
Some in-game interface images were created through known image AIs. All AI running outside the game interface is programmed by Vawraek Technology.
Our game's library images (except for the logo with the words "Investormania"), images on the in-game loading screen, in-game avatars are generated with artificial intelligence.
Some textures contain AI generated imagery
We generated drafts for the game's and company logos, part of the capsules art, the voice in the trailer and the store texts. Then we adapted them to our liking.
The images in the game are collages and/or modified parts of images created by AI. Each image was processed and animated manually by a human. Parts of the images have been redrawn by humans.
Some cutscenes and the game title are AI-generated images.
The game capsule art is generated using Open Source AI. I am wokring on replacing that with none-AI Art
Generative AI has been used in the trailer images, the store page images, and the in-game UI images.
Game does NOT include any AI-generated content. AI generation used for some promo-materials images.
The characters where created using IA
Artwork for the cards was created using local AI models.
Contract some characters and then generate them in Midjourney.
FACEMINER is a concept-driven game that directly engages with the ethics of AI. For thematic purposes, the game features faces which have been generated by a GAN (Generative Adversarial Network) trained on the FFHQ dataset, a research dataset released by NVIDIA that is the backbone of many real-world facial recognition applications. Per NVIDIA, only images under permissive licenses were collected. The 'AI training' in this game is fictional and has been simulated for entertainment purposes. The game can be interpreted as a critique of AI specifically relating to the ecological impact of mass data hoarding, surveillance concerns, and way it is used to compound corporate power.
Some loading screens and main menu screen use ai generated images
As a solo dev, I use Midjourney to fill in some gaps including upgrade and achievement icons.
Some backgrounds are taken from the Futuristic Anime Backgrounds Pack that is AI-generated.
