Public Steam disclosure research 25,512 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Note: Most of the translations and music in this game were created with the assistance of AI.
Music tracks used in the game were created using generative AI tools.
Some in-game radio/music tracks may be created with generative AI tools. These tracks are selected, reviewed and integrated manually by the development team. No live AI generation is used during gameplay.
Some pre-generated artwork and sound assets used in the game and its marketing materials were created or edited with the assistance of generative AI tools. All such content was manually selected, reviewed, and edited as needed by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay.
This game uses generative AI as a starting point for visual art and music. We then edited many of the assets by hand.
Evo Ascension includes limited AI‑generated content. Some audio and select graphical elements were created using AI tools, with most visuals further refined and hand‑edited in Aseprite. All gameplay systems, pixel art characters, animations, and core design remain handcrafted by the developer.
About Generative AI During development, we used generative AI tools to assist in creating some art assets, text copy, and voice-over segments. All AI‑generated content has been reviewed, modified, and refined item by item by our design team to ensure it meets the game’s overall style and quality standards, and final approval was carried out manually before release. We have taken necessary measures to ensure that no AI‑generated content infringes upon any third‑party copyrights, trademarks, or other legal rights.
Generative AI was used to help create promotional capsule artwork and music/audio material for the game. The gameplay, level design, mechanics, and final implementation were created and reviewed by the developer.
This game used generative AI as an assistive tool for translation and localization, and for producing some sound effects and music. All final text and audio were reviewed, edited, and approved by humans before inclusion.
We at GabaCool believe in the beauty of human art. Hence, we don't allow ourselves to create art by AI. We use it for coding, no worries we are professional engineers. We also use it for voice line generation, as we are a small team in the bootstrap phase. Localization is another point. We are dedicated to remedy this. Where we will never use it: Story, Art, Music, Models, and all creative. Because that's what makes us human.
This game uses generative AI for some of the non essential voice acting.
This game uses generative AI tools to assist with voiceover production and localization. All AI-assisted content is reviewed and integrated by the development team.
During the development process, I use AI tools to assist with content creation. Specifically, I use them to generate base assets such as textures, visuals, and sound assets, which are then edited and refined by hand before shipping. No content is generated at runtime. In all such cases, the final product reflects my personal creativity, vision, and expression as a solo developer.
Generative AI was used to assist with grammar and spelling checks for some in-game text, translate store page content, and generate some sound assets. All content was reviewed and approved by the developer before inclusion. The game does not use live-generated AI.
localization, sounds
The game's 2D artwork (character portraits, scenes, backgrounds) and music were created with generative AI tools, then curated and edited by the developer. Parts of the game's code and narrative text were written with AI assistance, under human direction, review and rewriting. All AI-assisted content is pre-generated during development: nothing is generated by AI while you play.
I built Orbisphere as a solo developer using AI tools under human direction. The soundtrack was created with generative AI music tools, with each track directed, selected, and edited by me. In-game vector artwork was authored with AI assistance from my terrible MS Paint references and designs. All game design, writing, systems, and balance are my own work.
Generative AI was used as a production tool to help create selected visual and audio assets and to assist with refining some written content. The game’s concept, narrative direction, scenes, mechanics, and final presentation were defined, directed, reviewed, and edited by the developer. No content is generated by AI during gameplay.

Im a solo indie dev, so I used IA tools for better usage of production time. I used code tools to make it easier to implement mechanics. I used Art IA tools to make starting points from where I can work on top. I used Sound IA tools to make music for this game. Of course all these is because im a solo dev. Im planning to contract a team in the future if Im able to.
The art, audio, and writing in Refund Speedrun are created by hand. Generative AI was used only for the voice-over narration in our promotional teaser trailer (ElevenLabs). The game does not generate any content using AI at runtime.
Generative AI was used during production of some visual and audio assets. All generated material is selected, directed, edited, and integrated through a human-led creative process. The game does not generate content with AI during play.
Generative AI music for the Boombox sounds.
AI is used to prepare the promo materials & trailers and generate funny robot voices for bots.
Corelink Protocol uses generative AI as part of its creative workflow, including artwork, sprites, music, and certain development assets. All AI‑assisted content is manually reviewed and refined before being included in the game. No content is generated live during gameplay; everything is pre‑produced to ensure a consistent and curated player experience.
AI-assisted. Developer-directed. Generative AI was used as a production tool during development: Claude assisted with prototyping and implementation, while Google Lyria was used to create the game's original 15-track soundtrack. The music and all other AI-assisted material were selected, edited, integrated, and play-tested by the developer to serve Boiler & Blood's dieselpunk folk-occult world.
Only assets like art and sound were generated using AI. Code was designed and programmed by me.
This game includes some pre-generated artwork and sound effects created with the assistance of generative AI. These assets were reviewed, selected, and integrated by the developer during development. The game does not use live generative AI during gameplay.
All content in this game was created by a single developer using generative AI tools, under full human supervision. The scenario and script were written by the developer (writing assistance: Claude). All theme song lyrics were written by the developer. Backgrounds, character sprites, the logo, and the OP/ED movies were generated with Leonardo AI, based on the developer's own character designs, compositions, and art direction. The music and theme songs were produced with Suno AI. All voice acting was generated with ElevenLabs; every line in all three languages (Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese, approx. 1,900 lines each) was individually reviewed by the developer for pronunciation, acting, and emotional delivery, and only approved takes were used. Localization was assisted by Claude Code, with every translation reviewed by the developer. Programming was assisted by Claude Code. The store page and marketing assets (capsule images, logo, trailers, etc.) were likewise created with Leonardo AI (imagery) and Suno AI (music). Screenshots and trailer footage are captures of the actual game (the game itself contains the AI-generated assets described above). Every AI-generated asset was reviewed, selected, and corrected by the developer before use. No content is generated by AI at runtime. A breakdown of tools by production stage is included in the end credits.
Train Trek uses generative AI in two ways. During development we used AI tools to help make some assets: the user-interface art (HUD and menu icons, menu artwork, frames, button plates, mouse cursors), the instrumental soundtrack, and some sound effects. All of it was chosen, edited and finished by hand before it shipped. The 3D models are built procedurally by our own scripts, and the design, world generation and balancing are authored by hand. Parts of the source code were written with an AI coding assistant, reviewed and tested by the developer. While you play, the game speaks using a text-to-speech model that ships inside the game and runs entirely on your own computer. It voices tutorial guidance, hints and menu narration instead of pre-recorded audio. It needs no internet connection, sends nothing anywhere, and never records or listens to you. It only reads lines we wrote and shipped with the game - it does not invent dialogue.
Portions of this game were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. This includes parts of the game's code, artwork and UI graphics, sound effects, and written text (in-game and on the store page). All AI-assisted content was directed, reviewed, and edited by the developer before inclusion. No AI content is generated during gameplay, the cribbage opponent uses conventional game algorithms, not generative AI and the game does not connect to any AI services at runtime.
P·A·L - Personal Artificial Lifeform is a generative AI software suite. P·A·L generates written word, spoken word, voice to text, generative images, generative music and sound, game code, and is capable of learning through user choices. Always use AI responsibly.
Generative AI tools were utilized to create some base visual and audio assets for Warix. AI was used to generate background textures, character sprites, and promotional store art. All AI-generated imagery was subsequently edited, composited, and polished by hand to fit the game's final aesthetic.
Some content in this game was created with the assistance of generative AI tools, then curated, edited, and integrated by hand by the solo developer. This includes: character and enemy sprite animations (AI-generated video processed by hand into sprite animations), environment and background artwork, the story tapestry illustrations, title and store artwork, music, and some sound effects. All such content is pre-rendered and ships with the game — nothing is generated live at runtime. All content was reviewed by the developer to ensure it does not include illegal or infringing material.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with localization, some in-game GUI icons and sfx.
Paste this for the "how" description: All AI-generated content in Scrumbag is pre-generated — baked into the build and curated by the developer, not generated live during play. This includes the game's artwork (character and enemy art, UI, icons, and store/marketing images) and its music (AI-generated arrangements and remixes based on songs by Andy Rehfeldt). AI tools were also used to assist development. All shipped content is reviewed and selected by the developer before release.
As a solo developer, I unfortunately cannot afford to hire artists or creators, so the media in my game is a mix of AI-generated and hand-edited/crafted. I would love to have my assets professionally made, but the cost of somewhere around two thousand icons, portraits, and other media assets would be far more than I can afford as just some guy working alone. I've done my best to create the best art and sounds with the tools I have access to, trying extremely hard to make things you will enjoy. If this game were to ever be successful enough, I'd love to hire professional artists one day to remake my assets (and for my future games). I thank you for your understanding, and I hope the game is good enough to get me there eventually!
Some of the sound effects in this game were created using generative AI tools. AI-generated audio is edited and mixed by the development team before being used in the game.
This game uses generative AI for some pre-generated content. Specifically, generative AI tools were used in the creation of some in-game background/wallpaper assets and some in-game background music. All such content has been reviewed, selected, and edited by the developer before being included in the game. The game does not use live-generated AI content during gameplay.
Global Plates uses generative AI in limited, development-time ways only: • Music: the game's soundtrack was created using AI music generation tools, then selected and edited by the developer. • Store page artwork: the key art is based on real screenshots rendered directly from the game, stylized with AI image tools. All other content — 3D environments, machines, characters, and game design — was hand-crafted by the developer or licensed from professional asset libraries. The game does not use generative AI at runtime: nothing is AI-generated while you play.
Fateward's visuals, UI, music, sound, character voices, and Steam store assets are created using generative AI and curated by hand, from a game written and directed by the developer.
AI image-generation tools were used to create the background illustrations, card illustrations, and other visual assets for this game. AI tools were also used to produce the background music (BGM), based on melodies I composed.
AI voice over for missions and some promotional art just fine tuned with AI.
Pre-generated AI content is used in the following ways, with every piece reviewed, edited, and placed by hand by the developer: Voice acting: character voice lines (the tutorial narrator and tenant voices) are generated with AI text to speech from scripts written by the developer. 2D artwork: some in-game 2D art (such as the travel map illustration and map icons) and some marketing and store page artwork (capsule backgrounds and logo concepts) started from AI generated images that were then selected, edited, and integrated by the developer.
Generative AI was used exclusively for marketing and promotional materials. This includes the store page capsule art, translations and the background music featured in the promotional trailer. No AI generated assets, imagery or audio are used within the actual game build, game screenshots or gameplay experience.
World of ClaudeCraft is, unapologetically, a game built with AI — the name is a hint. We used AI in two ways, and we want to be clear about both. During development, the game's code was written with an AI coding assistant, and we used AI generation tools to create some of the assets that ship in the game as ordinary, fixed files: Sound: Most in-game sound effects and all spoken NPC voice lines were generated with ElevenLabs' AI audio and text-to-speech models. The written dialogue itself is authored by us; AI produced the spoken audio. 3D models: A small number of creature models (the "Drowned Litany") were generated with Meshy AI (text-to-3D). Everything else is either created by the game's own code (the world, towns, terrain, water, weather, and the music soundtrack are all generated procedurally at runtime) or is licensed third-party art — CC0 model, texture, and HDRI packs plus a purchased commercial icon set. That content is not AI-generated. Critically: no generative AI runs while you play. Every AI-made asset was generated once, offline, during development and baked into the game as a static file. The running game makes no AI or LLM calls, and none of your gameplay or personal data is ever sent to an AI system. The simulation is fully deterministic — the same inputs always produce the same result.
Some visual assets, 3D models, textures, UI images, promotional images, music, sound effects, and reference material used in this game were created or assisted with using generative AI tools. These assets were reviewed, edited, adjusted, and integrated by the developer. The game itself does not generate AI content during gameplay.
Some audio in Fill The Bucket, including sound effects and ambient music, is procedurally generated by code using generative techniques. All such content is created during development and ships with the game; no AI content is generated live during gameplay.
Generative AI was used to assist with store copy, marketing artwork, logo/capsule concepts, and some replacement visual/audio assets. All AI-assisted content is reviewed and integrated by the developer. The game does not use live generative AI during gameplay.

World of ClaudeCraft In-game content audioartcode | World of ClaudeCraft is, unapologetically, a game built with AI — the name is a hint. We used AI in two ways, and we want to be clear about both.
During development, the game's code was written with an AI coding assistant, and we used AI generation tools to create some of the assets that ship in the game as ordinary, fixed files:
Sound: Most in-game sound effects and all spoken NPC voice lines were generated with ElevenLabs' AI audio and text-to-speech models.
| Levy Street Games | - | Jul 22, 2026
Demon Baby In-game content artaudio | Some visual assets, 3D models, textures, UI images, promotional images, music, sound effects, and reference material used in this game were created or assisted with using generative AI tools. These assets were reviewed, edited, adjusted, and integrated by the developer.
The game itself does not generate AI content during gameplay. | HANNIGO | - | Jul 22, 2026
Fill The Bucket In-game content audio | Some audio in Fill The Bucket, including sound effects and ambient music, is procedurally generated by code using generative techniques. All such content is created during development and ships with the game; no AI content is generated live during gameplay. | moiiikem | - | Jul 22, 2026
Candlelit Maze In-game content artaudiotext | Generative AI was used to assist with store copy, marketing artwork, logo/capsule concepts, and some replacement visual/audio assets. All AI-assisted content is reviewed and integrated by the developer. The game does not use live generative AI during gameplay. | Candlelit Maze Studio | - | Jul 22, 2026 |
