Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Generative AI was used to create a small portion of the in-game soundtrack. Specifically, 3-4 music tracks played via an in-game 'boombox' tool were generated using AI. All other assets, including 3D models, code, and gameplay mechanics, have been created manually without the use of AI.
The music was generated with AI. The character animations were created by AI based on hand-drawn pixel art. Localization translation was done with AI help.
ARIA‑404: Labyrinth Protocol uses generative AI to create all pre-rendered content, including visuals, voice acting, music, world design, dialogue, & narrative. No AI is used during gameplay. Every element is crafted using a curated blend of AI tools by a solo developer to push the boundaries of interactive storytelling. This approach allows for a mythic, multimedia game experience that will evolve over time with community input.
Movavi Video Suite comes packed with smart AI tools that make video editing even easier:
-Automatic subtitle creation saves loads of time by generating captions for you in almost any language.
-The AI denoiser automatically cleans up background noise in your audio, so you get clear sound without any hassle.
-If you need to remove background, AI does it in just a few clicks – no green screen required!
-With motion tracking, you can easily follow objects or people through your footage, making it a breeze to add text, effects, or animations that stay locked onto your moving subject.
-AI Upscaling. Use the program’s AI to up the resolution of grainy shots by 4 or even 8 times. Make every detail count!
AI was used only to assist in the creation of the background track "Drift King," present in the currently implemented level, with the intent of replacing it once our team works with a proper composer or sound designer.
All remaining game content was fully developed by our indie team.
Sands of Avalon uses AI exclusively to give the gods unique personalities and dynamic voice lines. Each god reacts differently to the player’s choices, offering distinct blessings, curses, and dialogue that make every playthrough feel personal and immersive. No gameplay mechanics rely on AI and it is used only to enrich storytelling and deepen the connection between players and the divine beings in the game.
This game uses AI-generated assets only in pre-rendered, non-interactive content.
Specifically, some character textures and 2D HUD elements were generated using AI tools, and certain background music tracks may include AI-assisted production via Pixabay resources.
No AI is used to generate gameplay content, logic, or code during live gameplay.
All interactive elements, level design, gameplay systems, animations, and story content were created manually by the developer.
AI has been used for collaborative coding, with full human review of all code. AI may also be used for image generation, video generation, and music/sound generation, with full human review of all generated content.
The process involves using FFmpeg to extract the system audio and forward it to Alibaba Cloud Bailian. Alibaba Cloud then employs its gummy-realtime model for Speech-to-Text (STT) conversion, followed by translating the resulting text into the specified output language.
The voice acting consists of human performances transformed by an AI voice changer. We use licensed voices from ElevenLabs, where the original actors are paid royalties for their work.
The game’s artwork and soundtracks were created using a mix of traditional assets, original edits, and AI-assisted tools.
AI Usage in Dream Nest
In Dream Nest, AI is at the heart of the entire creative process. Every element of the game is enhanced or generated by AI to give players a truly dynamic filmmaking experience:
AI Storytelling: Players select 12 storyboard frames, which the AI uses to generate a complete cinematic sequence.
AI Casting: All actors are AI-driven, bringing unique appearances, personalities, and performances to your film.
AI-Enhanced Outcomes: The “one-line ending” feature lets players write a single sentence, and the AI adapts the film’s finale accordingly.
AI Simulation: Budget allocation and box office outcomes are simulated by AI, reflecting efficiency and audience reception.
AI Assets: All images, sound effects, music, and voice acting in the game are AI-generated, creating a seamless and ever-changing movie-making world.
With AI as your collaborator, every playthrough of Dream Nest results in a one-of-a-kind film that could never exist without your direction.
One of the stories in the game uses a narrator voice generated by a neural network that was trained on a real narrator's voice. Narrator can be disabled.
We use generative AI across all disciplines of game development with heavy amounts of human editing. That involves audio and visual art. We use it as a productivity tool so we can achieve a higher level of quality, faster, than we would have been able to.
AI tools were used to support early concept exploration and visual ideation during development.
Artificial intelligence tools were used during development to assist with the creation and processing of audio content, such as sound effects and voice variations.
AI tools were used in limited, developer-supervised ways to support the creation of voiceover audio. The final product reflects the craft and creativity of our development team.
Images and Audio were generated using paid compliant AI that is not taught on unlicensed material. Ethically generated as needed as this is a free game and would not exist without the assistance AI provides to Indie Devs. We are just trying to give people a fun experience. As they say hate the Player don't hate the Game.

Listening to a story is a magic that should have no boundaries. To guarantee that the adventure maintains the same intensity, tone, and soul in every corner of the world, we chose a narration driven by state-of-the-art voice synthesis technology. This choice allows us to immediately offer a complete immersive experience in 9 languages, overcoming the barriers of reading. Your support is the engine that will allow us to evolve further, with the future goal of enriching the audio cast with professional performers.
AI usage (development & marketing only).
Paws & Circuits: Reboot Earth does not generate content live in-game and does not accept user prompts or inputs. During development, generative AI was used as a supportive tool (e.g., for concept iteration, text drafts, a few placeholder voice lines, and select marketing assets and occasional placeholder textures). All outputs were manually reviewed, edited, and curated. The shipped content is static, non-interactive, and contains no live AI and no user-generated content.
If any assets are flagged via Steam’s reporting tools, they will be removed or replaced promptly. Over time, placeholders will be gradually replaced with hand-crafted assets.
Content notice: Themes of environmental pollution/cleanup and survival (possible death by cold/starvation). No combat, no graphic violence.
We used generative-AI tools during development for some art and audio, plus AI assistants for code and copy edits. All results were reviewed/edited by us. No in-game or real-time AI; no player data is sent to AI services.
The graphic shows images of units (actions) that are created on the basis of real software features to change development time. Additionally, some functionality was ported from a raw state and refined using AI, and AI is also being used to write several of the core systems. (In the trailer, we also used some AI-generated audio and images.)
This game currently uses AI-generated voices as a temporary solution for character dialogue.
All writing, story, design, and sound direction are entirely human-made.
Final human voice acting will replace these AI voices in future updates before the full release.
The development process of the game used AI to generate backgrounds, characters images, and other images such as items for hidden objects, runes for match-3, and jigsaw images. Game logo was partially generated with AI. Additionally, AI was used to generate voice-overs and some part of localizations into french and german.
Some of the artwork and music were created with the help of AI-based tools, followed by manual editing and polishing to match the game’s style.
The source code was programmed without use of AI tools.
We are using Generative AI for our Main Capsule, Header Capsule, and Small Capsule, which are displayed across the Steam Store. In-game, a voice-changing AI tool is used to generate custom voices for voice acting.
