To Raise a King was made by one person working with AI collaborators. AI tools were used in the following ways during development, and every AI output shipped in the game was reviewed, curated, edited, and approved by the developer before inclusion.
Source code. Written in collaboration with Anthropic's Claude, with the developer directing architecture, reviewing every change, and testing behavior.
Character and scene illustrations. Generated locally with the FLUX.2 image model running in ComfyUI. Prompts, reference images, layered compositions, and final selections were all authored and curated by the developer.
Voice acting. Voices were produced with ElevenLabs. The developer cast each role, wrote each line, directed the delivery through iteration, and hand-picked the takes shipped in the game.
Music and sound. Music and select sound effects were produced with ElevenLabs' music generation. Tracks were selected, edited, and placed by the developer.
Writing and design. Story beats, dialogue, and system design were developed collaboratively with Claude, with the developer as the final author.
The developer confirms they hold or have licensed the rights to use these tools' outputs commercially, and has taken reasonable steps to ensure no infringing or unlawful content was produced.
The entirety of the game from the code to the art to the music WAS GENERATED WITH AI. This is not a disguise, I do not know how to build an entire game from scratch by myself. The story, characters, and concept art was created entirely by me and partly with my best friend Xavier, but everything in game is made using AI.
Lumenfall is built by a small studio using AI-assisted development tools. Some pre-generated content — including portions of the game's code, the store page text, and the 2D promotional/capsule artwork and achievement icons — was created with the help of AI tools, always under human direction and review. The game does not generate any content with AI at runtime; everything you play is fixed, hand-tuned content.
This game used AI tools to assist in generating some visual assets and code. All AI-generated content has been manually reviewed and edited by the developer to ensure quality.
This game was made by 1 person, with the help of AI for the art, coding, sound, story, you name it. This was a lot of work for me the human though, this was not a few prompts, this was many different systems and custom work pipelines I designed completely myself. It took a long time and a huge amount of effort.
Generative AI was used to:
- Create some of 3D models
- Create some of textures
- Create some of 2D background arts
Also, some parts of the programming code was written with AI help.
Generative AI tools were used in the development of Lexip to create initial drafts and source material for parts of the project, including code, visual assets, sounds, writing, and marketing materials. These outputs were not used unchanged; they were reviewed, selected, adapted, edited, and integrated by the developer. The final implementation, design decisions, and overall tuning were done manually. The game does not generate new AI content during gameplay.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with some code, visual assets, and English voice and audio content. The game's design, selection, editing, integration, balancing, testing, and final creative decisions are handled and reviewed by the developer before release.
No AI content is generated during gameplay. AI tools were used solely for code assistance during development, all code was reviewed and tested by the developer.
Every piece of art, music, sound, and text in the game was human-made.
Claude Code was used to scaffold most of the Rust code for this game, and the art assets were built from prompting latent diffusion models with human hand drawn sketches and text prompts.
Some in-game art assets were created or assisted using generative AI tools, then reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer. AI tools were also used as development assistance for parts of the code. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay.
Severwood uses generative AI as part of its development. Many visual assets — including character art, backgrounds, and card illustrations — were created with the assistance of AI image-generation tools, then selected, edited, and assembled by the developer to fit the game's art direction. Some code was written with AI assistance, directed and reviewed by the developer. Game design, writing, planning, and systems are created and directed by the human developer. No AI-generated content is produced live during gameplay; all assets are fixed and were finalized during development.
AI was used as the main tool to code this game, generate assets, and navigate the release processes.
This is the core model of Shadow Games Software. Leveraging AI to do the busy work to free up creative teams to focus more on design, taste, and producing a quality product.
As the 2nd real project for the studio, Idle Energy, heavily used AI during development.
Generative AI tools were used during development as creative and technical assistance, including support for programming, debugging, text drafting, localization, and some visual/marketing asset iteration. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay. All final content included in the game and store page was reviewed, selected, and edited by the developer before publication.
Chrome Circuit is developed by a solo developer who uses generative AI as part of the production pipeline. Character and environment sprite art was created using AI image generation, then processed, edited, and integrated by hand. Portions of the game's code were written with AI assistance under the developer's direction, with all systems designed, reviewed, and tested by the developer. All AI-generated content is created during development ("pre-generated") — the game does not generate any content while you play, and no AI runs on your machine. Game design, writing, and all creative decisions are the work of the developer.
AI tools were used during development to assist with certain aspects of programming, artwork, sound effects, and localization. All AI-assisted outputs were reviewed, substantially edited, and integrated by the developer. No unedited or raw AI-generated content appears in the final game.
Forged Cards is a passion project, built by one person. I'm not a game studio, I'm a single developer who fell in love with an idea for a deck-builder where you build the cards and set out to make it real.
Games like this usually take a team. Modern AI development tools are a big part of how one person was able to build something at this scope. I used AI coding assistants to help me build and iterate on the game's systems, AI image generation for the art, and AI-generated sound effects, all of it reviewed, edited, and shaped by me to fit the world I wanted to create. Every card, every enemy, every choice about how this game looks and feels came from a person (and some close friends) who cared about getting it right.
I'm being upfront about this because I think you deserve to know how the thing you're playing was made. Forged Cards exists because these tools let one person build a game that otherwise would have stayed an idea in a notebook.
Some creature sprites and artwork were created with the assistance of AI image generation tools (Pixellab) and subsequently edited and refined by hand. All game design, mechanics, and balance are human-made. Development tools with AI assistance were used for portions of the code. The game does not generate any content with AI at runtime.
This project includes limited use of AI generated content. AI tools were used to create certain background imagery and placeholder visual assets during development.
Additionally, AI-assisted tools were utilized in a supplementary capacity during parts of the coding process to support development efficiency.
All AI-generated content has been reviewed, modified, and integrated by the developer to ensure it aligns with the project’s overall quality and artistic direction.

We used generative AI tools in a few clearly defined parts of this project, and we want to be upfront about where.
During development, we used AI coding assistants to help write and review parts of the source code, the same way many modern studios use these tools. We also used generative AI to help create some of the store page and marketing assets, such as promotional images and parts of the written copy. Everything produced this way was checked, edited, and approved by us before it went live.
Inside the app itself, the background removal feature runs on machine learning models to cut backgrounds out of images that you choose to load. These models only process the images you give them, on your own machine, and nothing is generated or sent anywhere without your action.
The core gameplay experience, meaning the overlays you place, the cursor effects, the pinning behavior, and the audio reactive features, is built from regular code and does not generate content with AI at runtime. Any HTML overlays you get from the Steam Workshop are made and shared by other users, so their content is up to whoever created them.
We do not use AI to generate live content that changes on its own while you use the app, and we do not train models on your data.
