Public Steam disclosure research 25,383 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Various AI code edits for simple functions and easier testing. Some music and sound effects. No art.
AI-generated system configuration suggestions are used and are for reference only.
I just use it to fix bugs in my game and generate the 2D sprites
AI was used in music and coding assistance and marketing text. No art, character design or animation was assisted by AI.
AI tools were used during development to draft some sound effects and musical ideas; these drafts were then re-edited, mixed, and curated by the team to match the intended tone. We also used AI-assisted coding to help write small utility systems. No AI runs at runtime: the game does not generate content or code while you play, and no player data is sent to AI services.
Portions of the source code and materials used in the localization process were created using AI tools.
This game uses AI for some materials, coding, and translations.
AI was used in the coding of this game, the asset generation, brainstorming practical solutions (knowledge about opensource tts options, distribution options), and in helping problem solve most steps in the development, and application process. It allowed one developer to create a high quality, low cost educational product to greatly assist in language learning worldwide.
AI-assisted tools were used during the development of this game, including assistance with writing game code, some audio assets, and certain promotional materials for this store page. All AI-assisted content was directed, reviewed, and integrated by the developer, and the game's design and creative direction are the developer's own. The game does not use AI at runtime: no gameplay content, player-facing text, or other material is generated by AI while playing.
I use AI to help me code and convert recorded melodies into full songs and adjust the BPM.
AI has been used to fill in art, music and code due to lack of sufficient resources available. This is not satisfactory in the long run. The ambition is to eventually replace all AI content with proper man-made assets assuming the revenue increases. I apologize for the slop, but we will have to bear it for now.
The IA was used to clean, tidy and simplify code, make some 3d Environment assets and some UI elements
Artificial intelligence (AI) was leveraged for key aspects of the game's development, including in-game logic, support systems, and certain artistic assets.
This game used generative AI in a limited capacity during development to assist with Blueprint/code writing and debugging. It does not include any features that generate content or code in real time during gameplay, and no art, textures, sounds, story elements, marketing images were created using generative AI.
I use it to review my code for efficiency and to spark inspiration for some art. It also helps with generating secondary or background art elements, but the core creative work and vision are all mine!
AI-assisted tools were used during development for prototyping and reference purposes, including code, visuals, and audio. All such materials were manually reviewed and approved by the development team. The final game does not rely on AI-generated content during gameplay.
AI tools were used during development to assist with game code and visual design. The AI helped with coding support, debugging suggestions, and creating certain visual assets such as icons and background elements. No AI-generated content is produced in real time during gameplay — all AI-assisted work was done before release to improve development efficiency and visual quality.
・Program Development Support: Using GitHub Copilot and OpenAI ChatGPT for code completion and refactoring. ・Graphic and Design Creation Support: Utilizing OpenAI ChatGPT and Google Gemini to support asset creation. ・Scenario Writing Support: Employing OpenAI ChatGPT and Microsoft 365 Copilot for story structuring and text improvement. ・Pre-translated content using OpenAI API (gpt-4o-mini) for multilingual support.
We used AI to generate images and for initial code reviews. Our team reviewed everything it produced, and we shipped those results in early production. It also served as a great "rubber duck" for us to work through tough problems.
Generative AI was used for images generation used in-game. Part of generated images was then corrected by a paid human worker. Another generated part is relatively low quality and is aimed to be replaced by proper art before the full release. Images for the Steam page are including AI-generated graphical content from the game. Generative AI was also partially used for programming help, with every generated line being reviewed by the actual developer. "OpenAI ChatGPT" and "pixellab.ai" were used during development.
The game's program code contains AI-generated content.
Fog stole my programming ability, so a Drun and Ch helped me write this game.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with visual materials, texture design, localization, marketing texts, and partially for coding assistance. No AI is used during gameplay or for generating real-time content.
The backend c# code, story and image is created by ChatGPT.
Kinmen Kill uses a custom-built AI agent that operates directly within the Unity Editor to write code and develop the game.
1.The game utilizes AI-assisted ideas for programming logic to accelerate the development process. 2.Current music was created with the help of an AI-based platform. 3. This game does not use any form of AI for image generation.
we use AI across multiple areas of our creative process. This includes generating and enhancing textures, videos, stories, logos, concepts and ideas, music, voice acting, sound effects, and even 3D models. AI tools help us experiment faster, explore new artistic directions, and bring our worlds to life with greater efficiency and creativity.
Umbra Survivors does not use artificial intelligence during runtime. AI tools were only used as development assistance to help prepare, optimize, or comment on code. All in-game content (graphics, sounds, text, and code) has been manually reviewed and originates from internal development or properly licensed sources.
This game uses generative AI tools to create pre-rendered content during development, specifically applied in the following aspects: Art assets: Scene concept art, character design sketches, and basic UI icon materials. All AI-generated visual content has undergone manual review, modification, and optimization to ensure consistent style and no infringement risks. Marketing and community assets: Some background images on the store page, auxiliary elements of promotional posters, and non-core visual materials for community sharing, all complying with Steam's content guidelines. Development assistance: Prototypes of certain sound effects and initial drafts of code snippets, all of which have passed manual verification and adjustment to ensure functional compliance and stability. All AI-generated content has undergone strict intellectual property verification to ensure no illegal or infringing information is included, and the actual game presentation is consistent with marketing materials.
部分美术大图资源使用了AI生成。 使用AI辅助编写了RMMZ的功能插件。
Use of AI in Development (Pre-Generated Only) -Our game does not create new content at runtime. During development we used AI as a helper in two ways: -Programming: code-completion and refactor suggestions (e.g., test scaffolds, lint fixes). All code was reviewed and modified by a human before inclusion. -Assets: early concepts/placeholders for UI icons and marketing drafts. Final in-game and store assets were painted/edited and approved by our team before shipping. -We do not ship unreviewed model outputs, and we do not include content we believe infringes others’ rights. This disclosure follows Steam’s guidance to label pre-generated vs. live-generated AI usage; our title uses pre-generated only.
Only AI Code was used. - Used to create C# scripts for the following features: floating object direction calculations, boss camera, replacing items in shop interface, porting over attack hitbox logic from laggy events into C# code, lip-sync implementation, online leaderboard send/receive, dynamic button swap with keybind update, proximity interaction UI call implementation, mouse/controller sensitivity options, dropped weapon properties. - Used to create external tools to speed up development: blender plug-ins, web tools to parse and modify event data, python scripts. - Used for debugging purposes.

本游戏的代码和图像存在由AI生成的情况
ElevenLabs was utilized to produce several in-game audio elements, primarily VFX sounds, while GitHub Copilot assisted us in efficiently completing repetitive or time-consuming tasks.
We use AI translation to support multiple languages. We use AI image generation for the illustrations and backgrounds used in the game. Some of the game's programming is supported by AI.
AI is used in parts of the 3D asset creation and coding process.
AI-generated content has been used very little in the game: text correction and translation for the Steam page and in-game text. UI generation, which will likely be replaced later with non-AI-created assets. Occasional code corrections, but 90% of the code was written by myself.
Generative AI helped me make this project from start to finish. It helped me write code, organize my work, stay focused, and build the art, sound, and design. Grammarly helped me polish my writing. Claude Code helped me repair code. ChatGPT helped me plan and think through systems and color. The Unity engine brought it all together. There is AI in this project, just as there is in almost every tool we all use today.
Moderate ChatGPT-generated code within the app, all visual elements were made by me (for better or worse).
The game was conceived with the help of ChatGPT, partially built with Perplexity, and programmed using Claude Sonnet 4 and Gemini Pro. In short, they all made it together — from the story and challenges to the localization and everything in between. I personally tested it thoroughly (and trust me, it’s super hard!).
AI is used for entire code of the game, text, arts, sounds and music.
whenever I write code, I ask Ai to polish my code, because my code is not that clean. for some of the art, I draw rough sketches and ask ai to make a more appealing version of it
We use generative AI for game code and localization.
Zuno itself does not use AI in its functionality or gameplay. During development, some parts of the codebase were created with the assistance of AI coding tools to improve productivity and prototype features. In promotional materials, a few fictional posters and titles were AI-generated to illustrate how a media library might look, since real copyrighted artwork could not be used. These AI-generated visuals are used only in marketing materials and do not appear in the app itself.
