Public Steam disclosure research 25,383 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
AI was used to create marketing materials and voice over lines.
We would like to clarify that some of the artistic assets used in our game were created with the assistance of artificial intelligence (AI) tools. These elements were carefully selected and refined by our team to ensure they align with the visual identity and experience we aim to deliver to players. Our goal in using AI was to complement our creative process and bring an innovative approach to the game's visuals, always under the artistic supervision of our team to maintain consistency and product quality
As I am not a programmer the code in this game is a mix of youtube tutorials and AI generated code.
Radio Commentary is AI Generated
Many images that take place in game, representing towns and cities were created with the help of artificial intelligence. Generated pieces were not directly taken place in game but used advisory/recommendation manner (eg. to illustrate how a North West city looks in 1940s).
The radio show was generated by AI voice technology.
I used AI in the following way: - creating the voices of Ben and Jane - creating a base for further processing and overpainting (images in the intro scene)
This game utilizes generative artificial intelligence for refining the game scenario.
Used for the narration voice generation. With permission of the person's who's voice it is ofcourse.
Various assets were created by or edited by AI tools. This includes; models, textures, sound effects, voices, UI, and narrative elements.
MI:ND is a game that could not exist before AI. In every interaction you can say or do whatever you want, and the game will respond with a completely unique interaction and dialogue directly to you.
The character voices used in the game were generated by artificial intelligence.
Some AI generated in-game Images Included
Chat GPT was used to bounce ideas and assist with select scripts
Game contains pre-made AI-generated art assets like 3D Models, textures, images, pictures. Science fiction building, vehicles, characters, equipment, items.
In the development of our game, we incorporated AI tools to enhance various aspects of the creative process. Our game uses generative models for creating and editing images, sound mixing, and text translation. These AI tools were utilized to improve quality and efficiency, allowing the development team to concentrate on crafting the narrative, gameplay, and overall design. The AI played a supportive role, assisting with technical tasks while the core vision and creative direction were driven by the team.
Generative Artificial Intelligence has been partially used to produce the promo art of the game (i.e. the image used to promote the game). The in-game content has been produced from scratch by 3D artists, game designers and developers. Only some audio content (i.e. the voice of the robot) has been prerecorded by using AI generative tools.
The background images and animal pictures are pre-rendered AI art
Some of the images were generated by Midjourney, but were later adapted manually by the game developer; all the background musics were generated by Suno AI.
In our ongoing effort to bring you a unique and immersive gaming experience, we’ve integrated AI-assisted tools into the creation of some of our in-game art. These tools have been used to inspire and enhance the visual style of our game, helping to generate distinct and creative elements that complement our hand-crafted assets. By utilizing AI, we’ve been able to explore new artistic possibilities, ensuring that our game features a vibrant and visually compelling world. However, every AI-assisted asset has been carefully reviewed, refined, and curated by our development team to align with our artistic vision and maintain a cohesive aesthetic throughout the game. Our primary goal is to deliver a game that is both visually stunning and enjoyable, and AI has been one of the many tools we've used to achieve that. We hope you enjoy the result as much as we enjoyed creating it!
AI generated content is used for voice audio, generation of concept art for inspiration, and GitHub Copilot AI assistant is used to aid with gameplay coding.
Yes, we used AI tools in a limited capacity during the development of our game. Specifically, AI was utilized for certain aspects of the game's text, such as crafting the Steam page description, and for some pieces of code. However, the core development, design, and creative processes were driven by our team(me). The use of AI was supplementary, aimed at enhancing productivity and efficiency, rather than shaping the core elements of the game.
AI has been used for creating various icons for the game, as much as possible is created by hand.
For the development of The Broken Mirror (Xuru Engine Edition), we have integrated advanced generative AI workflows to enhance the atmospheric Noir experience. Environment & Visual Arts: Environmental assets and backgrounds have been conceptualized and generated using AI, then manually refined and stylized in high-contrast black and white to achieve a unique 'graphic novel' aesthetic. Audio Experience: Soundtrack and atmospheric sound effects were developed with AI assistance to create a deep, immersive psychological thriller mood. Human Oversight: All AI-assisted content has been curated, edited, and directed by our lead developer. The core narrative, character arcs, complex puzzle design, and final assembly are 100% original human creations, ensuring a cohesive and high-quality artistic vision.
"I used AI-generated images that I worked with Photoshop on the start screen, lobby screen, and stage selection screen."
We are Generating/Modefieing some Images on our Steam page with KI, this Images are market as done with KI!
AI was used for the visuals of this game.
We used ai generated contents just for capsule images.
Some marketing and page materials were made with AI
The game is entirely made by one person. Not having talent in all areas, I used AI to create graphics, sounds and music.
Some images are generated using AI and then processed using PS
AI tools were used to generate select artwork, including concept images, a few decorative assets, and a few censored fictional photographs as some Voicelines and Screams. Some of these depict intentionally exaggerated or eccentric characters that would have been impractical—or impossible—to stage with real models. All AI-generated assets were manually reviewed and edited before inclusion. No AI content is generated dynamically during gameplay.
We used AI for a few textures and voice acting, but we’re planning to replace them if the game does well after the full release
Images are generated by Midjourney with prompts shared. Musics are generated by Suno. AIGC is one of the many topics for this game.
The puzzle images pre-rendered AI art
This game uses AI to only give pre-generated voice to the characters.
AI tools were used during development for coding assistance, icon concepts, and marketing materials. All in-game 3D environments and gameplay are handcrafted.
The trailer in the store page uses an A.I voice over.
Echoes Below uses AI-generated voiceovers as temporary placeholders for character dialogues. These will be replaced with professionally recorded voice acting during development.
Some in game assets were textured using AI, namely the clouds and some character clothing
AI was used to generate voicelines.
Services claiming copyright protection/indemnification: None. I do not use any third-party copyright filtering, detection, or indemnification service; the optional local assistant is offline and restricted to in-game data only.
AI has been used in a limited way* for the following aspects: Text Localization, Speech Localization and Musical Audio. *The base was AI-generated, but the transformative creation built upon it stands as an original work. (Text was controlled by a human, the voice and musical audio were edited and reworked by a human)
This game uses generative AI tools in part of the visual production process. The tools are used to process and transform original designs and character materials created by the development team, in order to express trauma, psychological distortion, and instability. AI-generated output is not used directly as-is. It is reviewed, selected, adjusted, and edited by the development team before being used as part of the in-game visual direction.
We have used AI for all paintings that appear in the game, as well as for some of the text within the 'About This Game' section on the store page.
We used neural networks to create illustrations for the store. After generation, the work was refined in photo editor.
We used ChatGPT to generate some game menu icons and to translate the text.
This game uses AI for generation of temporary assets (like icons) that can be seen in early screenshots or trailers but will be removed before the game is released
This game contains some pre-rendered visual and audio elements.
