Public Steam disclosure research 25,519 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.

Some of the game's art and music assets were generated by AI.
Character portrait, Background image, background music
All music in Orbit Armada is generated using AI tools. Each track is selected and curated by a human.
Generative AI was used during development to help create some pre-rendered audio, store/marketing visuals, and concept art. All such content is curated by the developer, and the game does not generate AI content at runtime. Some store page text was also drafted with AI assistance and edited by the developer.
Players can freely converse with NPCs, and the game will generate dialogue in real time based on the NPCs' personalities and memories. The main storyline will be driven by AI agents, which will generate plotlines consistent with the game's lore.
AI was used to optimize image assets during the game’s development.
AI was used to translate the game into French, Spanish and Brazil Portuguese. Friends speaking these languages checked for accuracy but I will adjust any translation errors, when the community let me know about them!
Elements of the Pictures during events, videos, character portaits, voices and some of the 3d models are generated with the assistance of AI
Das Store-Werbebild ist KI-generiert. Im Spiel selbst gibt es keine KI-generierten Bildressourcen.
It contains filtered and edited AI-generated content.
AI is partially used for translations.
Steam store page text generation
Some visual assets are created by AI
The store page text was drafted and refined with the assistance of generative AI, with all content being ultimately reviewed and approved by our team to ensure quality and clarity.
Generative AI was used for the production of SOME art assets. Some are completely handmade, Some are almost entirely AI with additional human editing. This normally varies by game where one will have lots of AI and one will be completely handmade. Art assets refer to images and music. No AI ever runs during runtime.
Some background images, dice skin textures, and the developer logo were created with AI image generation tools. These AI-generated assets were then manually edited and refined. No AI is used during gameplay.
Some background music in this game is produced using artificial intelligence technology
Store Page temporarily featuring AI-generated images, pending future updates.
AI technology was utilized to create initial art assets, including some icons. The final output was manually refined by artists.
I used AI helped me to design the main character; however, the final looking is vastly different then the AI generated. I also plan to use Ai to generate background music for my game.
Generative AI was used during the development process to assist in the creation of game code and scripting. Additionally, AI tools were used to draft narrative text and dialogue, and generate 2D assets and UI elements. These were then subsequently edited and refined by humans to ensure quality and coherence. No AI is used to live-generate content during gameplay; all assets are pre-rendered and static.
I use AI to supplement as a stand in for what will eventually become human made content, currently its just music at the main menu and some parts of images in advertisements
Game logo was created by AI.
I am a solo developer and this is my first game on Steam. I was able to create this game thanks to the use of AI.
This game uses Generative AI to create some image assets.
Store Images and Character Images
Some of the background concept art images are AI-generated. Examples include the character background on the right side of the main interface and the background of the puzzle mini-game.
This game used generated AI to help with the art and art direction.
The screenshots were upscaled using AI. The logo was created using AI.
Generative AI tools were used to assist with placeholder music and art assets during early development.
The game logo, game artwork and game marketing materials contain some AI generated materials. In-game voices were made using assistive AI.
This game does not contain any AI-generated visual or audio assets. I only used AI as a tool for: - Assistance with translations and wording
AI was used as a tool to support the creative and technical process, not as a replacement for design, implementation, or artistic decision-making. AI was used to assist with programming tasks, such as problem-solving, code structuring, and iteration during development. All final code was reviewed, adapted, and integrated manually by the developer. AI was also used to generate early visual concepts and rough art sketches. These assets were not used directly in the final game; instead, they served as references and inspiration. All final visuals were manually reviewed, refined, and adjusted to fit the game’s art direction and technical constraints.
Nekruba used artificial intelligence tools as support during the creative and technical development process, particularly for prototyping, code assistance, and idea exploration. All final decisions and all published content were defined and executed by the developers.
ChatGPT was used to create trophies for the trophy case. All in-game art was created myself using Photoshop. The splash page was created by my part-time artist. She bought imagery from istockphoto, and asked me to generate the 3D aircraft renderings, which I did using Unity3D. To the very best of my knowledge, AI was ONLY used to generate the 20 trophies.
I used generative AI tools to create various 2D art assets used in the game, including character concepts, background textures, and UI elements. Additionally, the store page assets, such as the capsule images and library artwork, were generated using AI and then manually edited/refined to fit the game's theme.
Initial enemy and card images are supported by AI and some of the promotional and storefront images were also created with AI tools and then refined by hand.
use ai for some art
Event decision images are created using AI. Generetive AI images also been used as icons, some parts of the game and steam art.
Portions of the code were generated by AI. Some images were altered using AI tools.
- 2D Artwork - Background Music (BGM) - Sound Effects (SFX)
Some game assets are generated with AI-assisted creativity.
This game utilizes Generative AI for certain images and text translations
Images in-game and marketing were designed by us, then generated with ChatGPT, then modified and edited by us. Coding support from ChatGPT Codex, that has been so much help. Just used to help make the game.
Logo image is generated by AI
This game does not use AI to generate content during gameplay. All gameplay systems, visuals, audio, and text are handcrafted and included as part of the game. AI tools were used during development in a limited way to assist the developer with prototyping, debugging, and refining code. These tools acted as a productivity aid only. All final decisions, implementations, and content were created and reviewed manually. There are no AI-driven characters, dynamic content generation, or systems that learn from player behavior. The game does not connect to external AI services, collect player data, or use AI to influence gameplay, difficulty, or monetization. Players can expect a traditional, deterministic game experience without AI-generated content during play.
Used AI to help me with backend code and lower repetitive game code. After all I am only one person.
The following assets in this game were created with the assistance of Generative AI: Visuals : - The main capsule image on the Steam store page - Character images used in dialogue scenes Audio : - In-game background music (BGM), Sound effects (SFX), and UI sounds
I put together the game's soundtrack using some AI tools to help with the initial ideas. They made it easy to quickly try out different melodies, beats, and sound effects, generating a bunch of variations in no time. From there, I went through everything by hand—tweaking, editing, and polishing until it all felt just right for the intense, quick matches. The AI was basically a time-saver that sped up brainstorming, but every final track was shaped and approved by me to nail that high-energy, competitive vibe. Some visual marketing assets on our store presence were created with generative AI and then manually edited/curated by our team. This includes certain store capsules and library images only.
