Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.

Some visual and textual elements of this game were initially created using generative artificial intelligence tools as part of the development process. All content has subsequently been reviewed, edited, and manually refined by the team to ensure its quality, consistency, and suitability for the final game experience.
This game uses generative AI to power character dialogue. No AI is used for art assets, music, or pre-generated content.

This game uses pre-generated AI-assisted images only in the opening video. The AI-assisted content is limited to pre-rendered video material included in the game build. It is not used in the store page trailer, screenshots, Steam community assets, or other marketing materials. The game does not use live generative AI. No AI content is generated during gameplay, and players cannot enter prompts or otherwise cause new AI-generated content to be created. All AI-assisted images used in the opening video have been reviewed and edited by the developer to ensure they are appropriate for the game, consistent with the game's content disclosures, and do not intentionally include illegal or infringing content.
One illustration (diary screen) was created with the assistance of AI tools. Localization was assisted by AI tools.
Developing Aevalore solo meant tackling a massive project on my own. To manage the 500+ sprite sheets required, I used generative AI for the artwork (most hand polished for finish) and 90% of the music. Some of the music was made by a friend and me. This allowed me to pour all my energy into coding the 81-ability system, 12+ unique characters and crafting the world. These tools didn't replace my vision; they made it possible for a solo dev to build it.
The store page assets (capsule art, screenshots, and banner) were created using generative AI tools.
This game extensively uses generative AI in its development, including: - Visual art creation (backgrounds, character sprites, interfaces, and icons) - Music composition and audio effects - Narrative development, dialogues, and script All AI-generated content was curated, reviewed, edited, and manually integrated by the developer to ensure narrative coherence, artistic quality, and smooth gameplay experience. Creative direction, gameplay design, technical implementation, programming, and design decisions were made by humans.

Some store visuals and in-game product visuals were created with artificial intelligence.
As the developer, I am responsible for the game's scenario and overall production. AI tools were used to generate the character assets, background images, and BGM, all of which were then customized for the game. Sound effects were sourced from free material libraries.
The images in this game were generated using artificial intelligence.
This project is, above all, a personal creation, driven by a clear artistic vision and specific game design intentions. During the development process, I used artificial intelligence tools as production assistants, particularly to speed up certain technical tasks (such as coding support) and to explore visual ideas. All generated elements were then carefully selected, refined, and integrated to ensure consistency with the project's artistic direction and game design. The AI did not design the game: it simply served as a tool among others in the creative process, just like a game engine, graphic software, or a code library. Thank you for supporting independent projects and creative experimentation. Franck
This game uses AI for multilingual translations (English and Simplified Chinese) and some of its assets.

This product uses artificial intelligence to generate in real time the language, voice, actions and other content of the character(s).
Some of the videos used in the game were produced using AI-generated images.
Artificial intelligence tools were used during certain stages of the development of The Letter as supportive tools to assist the creative process. AI was primarily utilized for concept ideation, early visual references, and iterative design exploration. These tools helped accelerate prototyping, generate visual inspiration, and assist with writing drafts during early development phases. However, all core gameplay systems, narrative design, environmental storytelling, and final artistic direction were created, reviewed, and curated by the developer. AI tools were used as creative assistants rather than autonomous content generators, ensuring that the final experience remains a carefully crafted and human-directed project.
The game has been PROUDLY maded using AI tools
This game uses GeminiAPI for conversations and features some photorealistic images.
"Generative AI tools were used to create the static character sprites and background images for this visual novel."
AI tools were used to assist with writing game narrative and event text during development. All style guides directing tone, humor, and historical relevance were created by the developer and all content was reviewed, edited, and curated by the developer.
Some of the text and code is generated by AI
This game is made by just one person and uses artificial intelligence to create the images in order to optimize the game's development.
This game analyzes and evaluates images input by the user using a Visual Language Model, and outputs the results as text. This game contains ai (grok) generated graphic assets.
This game currently includes a few 2D Image AI-generated assets (those include 5 of the slot machine's icons, 7 character portraits displayed on the main hallway, the main menu background image & current thumbnail) used as placeholders during the Early Access phase. These assets are scheduled to be replaced with original, non-AI artwork in a future content update. No AI tools are used for live, runtime content generation.
AI was used in editing code. In the game play there is not auto generated AI content.
Some images are generated using AI.
This game uses pre-generated visual assets, including images and cinematic sequences created with external tools. These assets are used for environmental storytelling and menu presentation, and do not involve real-time AI generation.
Generative AI was used during development to draft initial art concepts and assist with the foundation of text localization. All final in-game visual assets were manually refined, edited, and finished in Photoshop to ensure a high-quality, hand-crafted aesthetic. Localization was human-reviewed to ensure accuracy for players.
The game features a multilingual system, with some languages processed using AI. Some UI elements and game scene components were designed with AI assistance. Game plugin code was processed using AI. Some game music, sound effects, and trailer music were also processed using AI.
Generative AI was used during the development process to enhance and diversify the variety of card assets and narrative content. This technology allowed for the creation of a more expansive and unique library of scenarios, ensuring a richer and more varied gameplay experience for the player.
No AI was used to write the storyline or visual assets in the game. All of it is my own creative work. However, AI was used to assist in the creation of game artwork used for the store page and for helping craft and improve store descriptions.
AI has been used to help develop the game's cover art.
God is not scripted. Every conversation is generated in real time by Claude, Anthropic's large language model — the same technology behind some of the most advanced AI assistants in the world. No two playthroughs are ever the same. All AI interactions are governed by Anthropic's strict safety guidelines and an additional in-game moderation layer. Visual elements crafted with generative tools.
We use generative AI tools during development to create certain pre-rendered audio assets (sound effects and background music). We ensure that prompts do not reference copyrighted works, artists, or specific intellectual property. We use commercially licensed AI services and comply with their terms of service.
Isometric city view is generated
ome inventory icons, the in-game orientation map, and a few images used for signs and notes were created with AI assistance. The world itself, level design, gameplay systems, buildings, ruins, enemy placement, and environments are manually built, edited, and refined. Every mesh is placed by hand, and the world layout does not use procedural generation.
We used AI generation for some of the illustrations.
Most of the content is developed using traditional development practices. However, AI tools were used to support the creation of certain 3D in-game assets and audio assets.

All image resources (excluding UI) in this game are generated using AI.
100% Live-Action footage shot on location. AI limited to 2D UI elements and specific photograph props.
Generative AI was used as a supportive tool to enhance the visual details of character portraits and a specific in-game interactable item. Additionally, AI-assisted technology was utilized to refine multi-language translations to ensure linguistic accuracy for global players, and AI-generated voice technology was used for the audio narration in the main teaser video.
