Public Steam disclosure research25,380 disclosures tracked
Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
The graphic shows images of units (actions) that are created on the basis of real software features to change development time. Additionally, some functionality was ported from a raw state and refined using AI, and AI is also being used to write several of the core systems. (In the trailer, we also used some AI-generated audio and images.)
I used AI to help create some of the menu screens and interface graphics, but I’m developing the game entirely on my own. Everything else, from gameplay to units and core content, is all my own work.
Some visual assets in the current Early Access build are placeholder concepts used during development. Original artwork is being produced and will replace these assets progressively throughout the Early Access period.
We used artificial intelligence to create video stories, voice some characters, and enhance the visuals of some units. For the unit images, we used our own assets and then applied AI to improve and stylize them.
This game contains pre-created images that were generated using generative AI.
The AI content is used only as static graphics within the game and in marketing materials.
No AI generation takes place during the runtime of the game.
After I personally finalized the design phase, some art assets were first rendered using generative AI tools, and I then manually refined and detailed them.
Similarly, certain background music pieces were developed with the help of generative AI tools.
Should you have any concerns about these methods, please feel free to experience the game according to your own preferences. Thank you for your understanding and consideration.
Space Mantlet uses AI to generate in game voices and translation text in game and in the store. Voice Synthesis Powered by: Coqui TTS – Mozilla Public License 2.0 Model: tts_models/en/vctk/vits (based on the VCTK corpus)
Some images and icons in the game were generated with AI and post-processed manually.
In-game music and voice-overs are AI generated.

Some store assets are put together by human hands but use images generated by AI. All in-game assets, screenshots, and videos are human-made with love.
Some in-game assets are purchased from artists on itch.io, the rest are handmade.
I use AI to assist in generating pre-rendered game assets, store page copy, and some marketing and community materials to improve production efficiency and quality. However, all AI-generated content is carefully reviewed and edited by humans to ensure it aligns with the game's style and brand identity.
The following is generated using AI:
The main interface of the game includes four worm cards, six panda cards, one molten rock puppet card, three Spider Egg cards, two human cards, and two blacksmith cards
We generate NPC accounts for the players to be able to buy, as there is a strong social aspect to this game. The NPCs all use AI-generated icons, as there are hundreds of them.
This is the only use of AI visuals in this project.
This game uses AI-assisted tools for creating store page assets, translations, marketing materials, and a small portion of visual effects and animations.
