Public Steam disclosure research 25,512 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
I used AI to help create some of the menu screens and interface graphics, but I’m developing the game entirely on my own. Everything else, from gameplay to units and core content, is all my own work.
Title: Disclosure of AI-Generated Content Disclaimer: This game contains art assets that were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. All AI-generated content was heavily curated, edited, and modified by our human art team to ensure it aligns with the game's unique artistic vision and quality standards. We affirm that we have the appropriate rights to all assets, both AI-generated and human-created, used in our game.
Some game assets in the game were created using Stable Diffusion's open-source model and can be used for commercial purposes.
We use AI to generate some graphic assets.
Utilized generative AI to create background image assets for portions of the UI.
This game does not generate real-time AI content during gameplay. However, AI tools were used during development to assist with marketing materials, promotional texts, and concept planning. All in-game content, assets, and interactions are manually created and controlled by the developers.
Some visual assets, concept art, and textures in Santa’s Legacy were created using AI-assisted generation tools, then refined and integrated in Unity to match the game’s artistic direction.
Some of the music used in the game and promotional materials was generated or composed using artificial intelligence systems.
AI has been used to generate the images for a few of the cards as they currently exist in Nightmares. Most of the card images are created by actual artists and we're working to have the remaining generated images replaced prior to launch.
The HUD icons are currently AI-generated placeholders. They will be replaced with hand-drawn icons a bit later (once I find a good UI artist).
Some background images are generated using AI, as well as the images of the department leaders in the game. The voices of a news reporter in the game and the voices in the game trailer and in the educational tutorials (on the tutorial website) are created with the help of AI.
Some of the capsule and library images were partially created using AI-assisted tools. These images have been reviewed, edited, and finalized manually to ensure they meet Steam’s content guidelines. All other game assets, including in-game art and content, were created by human artists.
In the game project, AI was used to write part of the code. Developers only need to describe requirements in natural language—such as designing gameplay mechanics or optimizing the UI—and AI can automatically generate corresponding code snippets. It also supports code completion, bug fixing, and performance optimization. This significantly boosts development efficiency, lowers development barriers, and makes the game development process more efficient and convenient.
- All translations except English and Russian. - Some game logic like boilerplate code.
Some of the images used in this game and those in the store are generated using AI tools. The game itself does not generate AI content in real time.
"Some of the game’s pre-rendered assets, including anime-style images, were created using generative AI tools. Additionally, certain dialogues and store page descriptions were assisted by AI. No content is generated live during gameplay; all AI-assisted content is fixed and fully reviewed to ensure it meets appropriate content standards. Players will not encounter dynamic AI-generated content while playing the game."
The avatar/image materials of this game are dynamically generated by AI algorithms, combined with deep learning models and art style transfer techniques to ensure that each image is unique and rich in details. AI is only used for creative assistance, and the final content is manually reviewed to ensure compliance with community standards.

I used AI to generate the assets and assist in code development, but AI is not used in-game.
Some character portraits were generated with AI assistance.
The capsule art for the game was made using AI-assisted tools.
AI-generated content used only for Steam page & some icons / textures in the game.
While developing the game we used various AI software to generate background images for our levels. Overall, we created more than 20,000 image out of which we selected the ones to be used in this first game release. We then further edited these / combined them in a photo editor to create the final background renderings seen in the game. Some of these images are also visible on the Steam Store page. However, the game itself does not use on-the-fly generative AI while the game is running. All AI images were pre-rendered during the development phase. We also used AI to generate background music for all levels. We create over two hundred hours of such music, and then edited these to better suite our needs. The game itself does not contain any real time generative AI for music.
This game uses generative AI tools during development to create certain pre-rendered visual assets, such as application icons and desktop wallpapers.
We used generative-AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT/OpenAI image generation and PlaygroundAI) to create some pre-rendered 2D art such as backgrounds, character illustrations, and other ingame asset images. No live AI or code generation occurs during gameplay, and players do not provide prompts. All outputs were human reviewed and edited, and created under licenses permitting commercial use; we avoid copyrighted characters and real-person likenesses.
Ai is used to edit what needs editing by me and to generate some ideas and make texts work since i'm really bad at that being autistic
We used AI tools to optimize and enhance some of our pictures used in market page. They are not fully AI generated, just edited.
The illustrations, character avatars, and some images were generated using AI.

Some base images for in-game media (wall ads) are made with generative AI, and then added to with image-manipulation software.
No generative AI content is used in the game itself. Some promotional images on the store page were created with AI tools, and then we edited them with Photoshop to add text and other custom elements. No AI-generated content is included in the playable game.

AI was used to help with some code, before the developer became aware of the harm of using genAI. The developer does not condone the use of genAI. No AI has been used for art, animation, textures, 3d assets, or music.
Some of the visual assets in this game, primarily character portraits and background art, were created with the assistance of generative AI technology.
Some character portraits and textures were created with the assistance of AI tools and then manually edited. Other assets, including the logo and additional textures, were fully manually created.
Generative AI was used in the creation of illustrations, sprites, audio, and other visual assets.
Capsule Art and Menu Music generated with AI
This product uses generative AI during development. Specifically, AI was used for: - Generating background music (BGM) - Creating translation texts No AI is executed in real time during gameplay, and it does not affect the player experience.
Ai used for generation of some graphical assets and audio.
Store page artwork was AI-assisted. Game visuals are hand-made for the actual experience.
There is no artificial intelligence in the game, it is only used in the photos in the store visual.
AI currently assists me with tasks I can’t handle alone without 'overspending.' It’s versatile—useful for generating images (though I edit them later), writing code, and more. Since I’m a beginner, I rely on it for almost everything, even just to verify parts of my games.
Speak Boy! Legal Beagll: Justice is Argued uses novel dialogue mechanics to bring your arguments into the courtroom. Characters respond with their own logic and reasoning. Creating dynamic and realistic character interactions.
