Public Steam disclosure research 25,376 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.

AI Content Disclosure Pre-generated Content: This game uses AI-generated images for certain 2D background assets and in game pictures. Human Involvement & Modification: All AI-generated base layers have been manually modified, cropped, and digitally color-corrected by the developer. We use AI as a foundational tool to create initial drafts, which are then refined and integrated by hand to ensure they align with the game's unique aesthetic and technical requirements. No AI content is generated in real-time during gameplay.
During the development process, we may use procedural and AI-driven tools to support content creation. In all cases, the final product reflects the creativity and vision of our development team.
Some assets and marketing materials for Duckpool were created using generative AI as a base. However, all AI-generated content has been heavily modified, refined, and manually adjusted to fit the game’s unique style and artistic vision. No live AI generation occurs during gameplay.
In Clicker Maker, all content is dynamically generated by AI, except for icons and fonts.
All CGs, sprites, music, voice acting, and writing is human-generated by the artists listed on the credits screen in game. AI-generated assets were used exclusively for backgrounds as a cost-saving measure due to being a solo indie developer on a limited budget. By using generated backgrounds, the available funds were better spent on having more important human-generated assets, like MANY more CGs, voice acting, and new outfits for the characters. An in-depth post regarding this decision was made prior to development on Patreon and Discord. All members were informed about its use and the tradeoffs being considered. Members and supporters agreed they'd prefer to have more CGs and voiced lines instead of custom backgrounds. No patreon funds or profits from the earlier game were pocketed. This was purely a resource allocation decision. If the funds were available to do all custom backgrounds, that would have been done.
Some sounds are AI generated.
The store page and in-game anime character images, as well as the game music, are generated using AI.
All images within the game were generated using a neural network.
This game utilizes pre-generated AI content in its development. The background music tracks were composed using AI music generation tools (Suno). Additionally, some 2D visual assets and illustrations were created with AI assistance (Gemini) and manually refined to fit the game's artistic style. Coding assistance (ChatGPT) was used during the development process.
The game uses Artificial Intelligence to generate non-realistic images and characters. AI is used to generate the background of some locations. AI was used to generate marketing materials.
Statement on the Use of AI in the Game’s Visual Assets For the creation of the visual assets in The Hyperrealist Rock in a Surreal World, we have used artificial intelligence tools. All images have been manually reviewed and edited to ensure their artistic consistency, originality, and compliance with the quality standards required for publication. We want to make it clear that none of the images infringe on third-party copyrights and that all content has been created exclusively for this project. We are committed to transparency and fully comply with Steam's policies regarding the use of AI in game development.
Everything in the game (every line of code, every 2d, 3d, and audio asset) is written/made by either Kiyasui-Hito (the solo indie developer of this game) or a third-party entity as credited in the game's credits screen, without any assistance/use of AI. Text translations (in-game menus, store page descriptions) were done using AI. The temporary capsule image art on the store page is also AI generated. AI is used in this way because I have a low budget and my friend who is an artist is quite busy these days.
AI has only been used to enlarge the image of the main goblin.

In the development of this game, generative AI tools were utilized to assist in the creation of a few textures, images, and translations. As a solo developer, this approach aimed to enhance the visual and linguistic quality of the game, ensuring a more immersive experience for players. All AI-generated content was carefully reviewed and refined to align with the game's artistic vision and maintain high-quality standards.
Using AI for translation
This game contains Audio and / or Artwork customized with the help of AI tools by our artists, derived from artwork we own commercial rights to use, or artwork done by our own studio. We pay our artists, and we DO NOT use stolen Artwork.
Some skybox textures have been enhanced using AI.
Some audio files were enhanced using AI to improve sound quality.
We use AI as a tool to aid in the development of foundational code elements and some marketing assets, but any content generated is edited and revised by real humans. We DO NOT use AI for the creation of in-game art, music or game design ideation. Creatively, this is a human-made project.
This game uses generative AI tools in the creation of certain assets: Some character and environment art assets were generated using developer-trained AI models; Some ambient background music (non-vocal) was generated using commercially available AI models with proper commercial licenses; In addition, the Steam store capsule image was also generated with the help of AI tools. All AI-generated content is static, manually reviewed and edited by the developer prior to release, and does not involve any post-release dynamic generation.
AI is used in 3D models, videos, images, programs, music and more.
Some of the photos used for decorations and some voice lines have been generated.
AI generated images used in a satirical context.
This game and its marketing materials include AI-assisted assets refined to fit the creative vision.

Store and other promotional graphics are ai generated
The original illustration is loaded and the illustration is generated by AI.
Artificial intelligence was used to create promotional art. Also for creating some graphic banners in the game.
Designed by Human, Made by AI
AI was used in select aspects of the game's creation, such as designing visual elements like the logo and assisting with smaller parts of the code. These contributions supported the development process, complementing the handcrafted atmosphere, mechanics, and puzzles to deliver a truly immersive and polished experience.
Almost all songs are AI generated Voiceover is also AI generated
In this work, AI-generated images are primarily used for character design and as reference sketches for the following characters: Deeba Buddy City Official Joslinbell’s wheelchair The procedure is as follows: Based on detailed world-building settings, prompts are created and input into Dall-E 3 to generate images multiple times. A single output image—or a combination of several output images—is then used as a reference sketch to create pixel art. In addition, except for some parts, the map background images are also generated by creating prompts from the world-building settings and inputting them into Dall-E 3. The resulting images are then used as reference sketches to produce pixel art. By following this method, while we leverage AI-generated images, the final designs are all completed as pixel art by human hands. Regarding Intellectual Property We respect intellectual property rights and are committed to providing an original, high-quality gaming experience. If, by any chance, there is any content that may infringe on someone’s rights or cause confusion for players, please contact us through comments or messages. We promise to promptly review the situation and make any necessary corrections.
Main menu / promotional art was AI generated.
A landscape image generated by AI is used as the background.
This game does not use generative AI to produce content during gameplay. Some AI tools were used during development (i.e., code drafting, proofreading, and asset prototyping), but all core game content was created and finalized by human developers.
AI was used to generate the background images in the game
We leverage AI at every stage of Bloodstone's development, from generating art assets and crafting detailed text descriptions to fine-tuning game balance and planning. Our vision is to seamlessly integrate AI into the gameplay itself, with plans to incorporate GPT-powered NPCs in the future. These dynamic, intelligent NPCs will deliver immersive, ever-evolving content, enhancing the depth and interactivity of the game world.
