Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Pre-generated AI tools were used to assist in creating portions of the game's music, narration, character assets, and localization. All resulting content was reviewed and edited before being included as fixed game content. The game does not generate content with AI during gameplay or connect to an external AI service while running.
This project used AI-assisted tools during development, primarily for promotional artwork, code development, the creation of art assets, and music production.
AI was mainly used to improve development efficiency and assist in creating original content. All AI-assisted content was manually reviewed, selected, edited, redrawn, adjusted, tested, or rearranged, and was further refined to ensure consistency with the game's overall style and actual development needs.
As a solo indie developer, I used Generative AI tools during development to create certain icons and UI graphic elements in order to streamline the visual pipeline and reduce overall development time. All AI-generated assets are pre-generated static images included directly in the game files; no AI content is generated live during gameplay.
**AI is awesome! We love AI!**
AI has allowed our small team to create a much larger, deeper RPG than we could have built otherwise, with complex gameplay systems, a living world, and characters who have lives of their own.
But don't worry—there's a real human behind the Game Master's screen! Nine Thrones is a labor of love inspired by classic tabletop roleplaying games. Our world, characters, and adventures are shaped by human imagination, with AI helping us bring that vision to life.
We also use generative AI as part of our art development process. AI-assisted tools help create and refine some character art, environments, sprites, and promotional artwork. All assets are selected, directed, edited, and reviewed by our development team before being included in the game.
No AI content is generated during gameplay.
AI tools were used to draft store page text and to translate the in-game text into English, Japanese and Chinese.
AI was also used for part of the art.
All of this was reviewed and edited by the developers.
No AI-generated content is created while the game is running.
Some in-game 2D UI icons, some music and sound effects, and Steam store page / promotional visuals were created during development with the help of generative AI tools, then manually reviewed, cropped, or adjusted before shipping. This game does not use generative AI to create content in real time during gameplay.
A lot of the artwork here was created with AI and only detailed and fixed by human hands. The voice acting, music, and soundtrack as well. The code and writing are all human-made.
Some of this game's 2D art (such as item icons and UI illustrations) was created with the help of generative AI, and AI was also used to help write and translate some in-game and store page text. All of it was reviewed and finalized by the developer, and no content is generated by AI while you play.
ORACLE uses generative AI in two ways: some marketing artwork was created with generative tools, and an optional bundled local language model can generate short, context-aware ORACLE narration during play. Live generation runs locally on the player's PC and is limited to text; it does not generate code, images, audio, or gameplay rules.
Part of the program code, art materials, and text content in this work were created using generative artificial intelligence and have been manually reviewed and adjusted to ensure a seamless gaming experience. During gameplay, AI does not generate content in real-time, all content is pre generated.
All 3D models and textures were created by humans. Some sound assets and UI graphics were created using generative AI and edited and supervised by humans.
Rippusion is a music generation tool: every track it produces is created by a generative AI model. The app bundles the Stable Audio 3 Small (Music) model from Stability AI, used under the Stability AI Community License, and runs it entirely on your own device. Generation happens offline on your GPU or CPU - no cloud service is involved, no account is required, and no data is sent anywhere. Music featured in our trailer was generated using Rippusion itself.
Generative AI tools were used during development to support creation of the artwork featured on the collectible cards and some UI elements. All AI-generated content was created before release, curated and integrated into the game by the developer. No content is generated by AI during gameplay.
Generative AI was used to create and iteratively refine some graphics and promotional images, to translate character voices, and to assist with writing and implementing the game’s code. All outputs were selected, reviewed, and integrated by the developer. No AI-generated content is produced during gameplay.
Generative AI tools were used during development as part of the early creative and production process, including generating mood boards, visual references, and some base meshes.
These materials were used as starting points rather than finished game content. Any AI-assisted assets included in Nine Below were substantially reworked, modified, refined, and polished by hand before being included in the final game.
AI was used to support iteration and production, while the final game was designed, built, and finished by the developer. No AI-generated content is created during gameplay.
AI tools were used as an aid in the English localization of this title. All
original narrative content, artwork, music, and game systems were created by
human authors.
AI tools were used during development as a learning and support aid. They helped me understand development workflows, troubleshoot technical problems, explore gameplay and UI ideas, and create early concept images used as visual references. All final decisions, implementation, balancing, and content selection were handled and reviewed by me. No AI content is generated during gameplay.
Despite game is simulating the AI, all conversations are hard coded and written by person.
AI was used to generate the names and descriptions for some items, but it was manually reviewed by developer.
Seed Money was developed with the assistance of generative AI tools, including Claude, GPT, and Gemini. AI was used throughout the development process, including programming assistance and the creation of artwork and sound assets. All AI-generated content included in the game was reviewed and integrated by the development team.

All AI-assisted content was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer before release. The game does not use generative AI in real time during gameplay.
Generative AI was used in two limited contexts:
-For 2D UI icons representing menu items and certain textures of food items.
-For the produce crate in the capsule art.
The code, menus, graphics, artwork, effects, localization, sounds and music of Pyramid Wars are vibe coded.
The cover image as well as the shop, library art and achievements are AI-generated.
All translations except English and German are AI-translated — errors are possible. Thank you for your understanding.
This game utilizes AI during gameplay to dynamically generate partial narrative texts and character dialogue in real time based on game progress, character status, and player choices, which may result in varying text content across different playthroughs. To mitigate the risk of inappropriate output, the game enforces rule constraints, sensitive content detection, and keyword filtering on both AI prompts and generated responses. Any non-compliant content will be blocked or replaced accordingly.
MemeWorks contains some pre-generated visual materials created with the assistance of generative AI tools during development. These materials include certain brand elements, sample images, and promotional video assets used for presentation and marketing purposes.
MemeWorks does not use generative AI during runtime, does not generate content for users in real time, and does not connect to any external AI services while the application is being used.
As indie developers we use generative AI to power our creativity and build this game faster and according our community desires and our own vision for the game.
Some of the content in Dawnheart Keepers was created with the help of generative AI tools during development. All of it was made before release: the game does not generate anything with AI while you play, and it never connects to an AI service.
What that covers:
- Illustrated art - menu and story backgrounds, story scenes, the world map, character and tower portraits, and the upgrade-card plates - was made with image-generation models run locally on the developer's own machine, from prompts the developer wrote.
- The English and Hebrew voice-over was generated with ElevenLabs from scripts written by the developer.
- Sound effects were generated from written prompts, or synthesised procedurally in code.
All of it was reviewed, edited, curated and tested by the developer before it shipped, and the same applies to the trailer and store art.
The music is not AI-generated. It is written as code and synthesised by the game itself while you play, the way game soundtracks were built before recorded audio.
The development of this game makes extensive use of generative AI. AI tools were used to help create the game's art and visual assets, sound and music, text and narrative, code, and localization. All AI-assisted content is reviewed by our team before release to ensure quality and appropriateness.
This software does not include any AI features or AI integration services. AI was used to create the promotional posters for the store, as the software interface alone was not suitable for poster design.
Generative AI was used to create of the music included in the game, as well as marketing and promotional materials for Steam.
AI tools were also used for programming and development.
