Public Steam disclosure research 25,380 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Voices are generated using a text-to-speech model.
The game is created by myself. Hand made logic, scripting, scenario, animation and music. As a solo developer, AI was carefully used to help me creating only 3D models and some illustrations.
Some of the game's graphics and music were created using AI.
the voice of npc was made by AI
Certain pieces of audio and scripts were created with the help of Artificial Intelligence
I only use AI for the images related to the game's story.
※Some 3D models, textures, in-game assets, and enemy AI behaviors in this game were created or assisted using AI technologies.
AI tools assisted in generating specific store asset components, which human artists then edited, refined, and finalized.
Some game scripts and minor visual assets were created or refined using generative AI tools. All AI-generated content was reviewed and edited by the developer to ensure originality and consistency with the game's vision.
We used AI for quick prototyping and then to edit some of our images to meet the various image size requirements Steam requires.
AI was used to create base textures that were further modified to suit the tone and atmosphere of the game. They were not used without proper amendments and incorporation to the game.
We used AI for rapid prototyping or for minor edits to locked resources. A few resources stayed in the game.
Localization is conducted either through AI translation followed by human review. Additionally, due to the nature of the scenario, Generative AI is utilized only for illustrations within the work that are explicitly labeled as 'Created by Generative AI.' (Generative AI was not used for general scenes, character illustrations, BGM, or other creative assets.)
AI is used to assist gameplay programming, AI is used for quick visualization in early concepting phrase, but the artworks created during this phrase are not used in the actual game. AI is used to quicken the painting process of the majority of the 2D artwork, but the character designs, composition, lighting, ideas and the other aspects of each artwork are original under a very specific art direction.
Some content within the game and on this Steam page, including text and images, has been generated or enhanced with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools. All materials were reviewed and refined by the development team to maintain quality and align with the game’s creative vision.
Fartal Error is developed by a very small independent studio. Due to limited resources, we occasionally rely on generative AI tools for specific visual elements, such as some in-game illustrations, assets and marketing materials. These tools are used thoughtfully and selectively, always under human direction, to preserve a cohesive artistic vision. We value transparency, and we encourage players to consider this information when deciding whether the game is right for them.
The voiceovers featured in the game were generated using AI technology provided by ElevenLabs. Some of the visual assets were created with the assistance of ImagineArt AI.
Artificial Intelligence partly helps us write game code and generate some images for the game.
all the pictures are generated by artificial intelligence.
This game uses AI-generated voice acting for some characters, created using ElevenLabs. No AI is used to control player behavior or decision-making.
Some art scenes utilized AI to assist in production
We use AI to make translation of text in different languages. After that we try always to proofread the texts by native speaker.

AI-generated art object
As a solo developer, I used AI to create some textures and marketing art (e.g., Steam capsule images) for the Dartmour: Tablets of the Ancients demo, as well as for coding assistance during development. The demo does not use AI for live-generated content or code during gameplay. The future full game, The Tablets of the Ancients: Chapter I - Dartmour, will feature an LLM to enhance dynamic storytelling, with details to follow closer to release.
- 1 of the 8 optional title themes is alleged to have used AI - even though the band insists otherwise, offered up the track a year before this project existed, and refused any payment for doing so. You can interrogate them on the matter here: https://www.bandlab.com/track/390bf936d0be49dda14dd68c125d500f_2a98d8102c85406ab4e8fdfbfe0cbda5 Had I used AI myself, I like to think I'd take the opportunity to produce something more relevant than muttering "there are people who will never change" on a loop. I bought the rights to the other 7 themes in 2016, so it's unthinkable they used AI. - I invested tens of thousands of dollars in professional assets from the Unity Asset Store - most of which again pre-date AI, or otherwise give assurances that it was not used. - The "Infinite Lives" logo dates back to the iOS release of 2017, where using AI would have put a terrible strain on the space-time continuum. - AI helped to depict the zombie fist in more of a comic book style and then upscale it to a higher resolution. The intention was to create an "other-worldly" art style that is deliberately distinct from the developer's own 2D or 3D. There was supposed to be a new cover every month like a real comic series. - AI helped to construct a legal argument for the release of a customizable superhero sim, citing precedents and loopholes that the developer was not familiar with. - My accountant may have used a calculator to calculate how much money we lost by releasing 2 games for the price of 1.
Some visual assets (such as the logo and a few textures), as well as the store page summary, were created using generative AI tools. No generative AI is used in real-time gameplay.
Used for creating the game banner
A small percentage of textures had some post processing using generative AI.
AI was used to help create the game’s music. All other game content was created by our team.
AI-generated artifacts
This game uses AI-generated content for some environmental artwork and character visuals.
This game uses generative AI to create Japanese voiceovers and some logo designs. All AI-generated content was reviewed and approved by the developer to ensure it fits the game’s tone and quality standards.
Some of the abnormal phenomena in this game include AI-generated content.
We use AI to pre-generate certain artworks and audio elements in order to maintain the distinctive style and mood of Brainrot. Please note that we exclusively use pre-generated AI content — nothing is generated in real-time.
Our game only used AI to generate the 3D models you see in the jumpscares.
Some of the 2D evidence visuals and certain marketing materials in this game were created using generative AI tools. There is no real-time AI generation during the gameplay experience."
4 item textures, 2 photographs
You’ll speak directly to in-game individuals using your voice, and they’ll respond dynamically through AI-generated dialogue and speech. Every conversation is unique, shaped by your words, tone, and approach. The AI does not follow pre-written scripts or dialogue trees, allowing for natural, unscripted interactions that drive the story forward.
Some of the voice actings, some photo images and textures are pre-generated by AI.
This game contains AI generated images and code. All AI generated images are still pictures used to depict in-game people and places, and certain sections of the store page. The AI generated code was used to streamline, update and replace already existing game code. All AI generated content has been verified to prevent any copyright infringement.
Game voice acting and "absurdometer" image
In this game, some of the artwork assets have been generated using AI. However, each illustration has been carefully modified by hand to ensure quality and uniqueness. We hope you enjoy the visual experience!
AI Is used only in the assorted photos that the player must spot the difference in. Ai was used to create the photos and Ai was used to adjust the photos
Some marketing images for the game were initially created using AI tools to streamline the production process. These have since been edited to ensure they match the overall tone and style of the game. Additionally, some images were generated with the help of AI, as well as the voices of the characters. We are actively working to secure the resources needed to bring in professional voice actors, and we plan to release an update with full voice acting after launch.
AI is used in a hybrid with the author. That is, AI generates, for example, a background, and the author refines it
Some of the voice lines in Safe Zone were generated using AI voice tools during development due to limited resources. These are pre-recorded and have been manually reviewed for narrative and emotional consistency. In future updates, these AI-generated voices may be replaced with performances by real voice actors. No AI-generated content is created during gameplay.
In order to speed up the production process of our game, artificial intelligence support was used in the coding department and to create more creative scenario themes regarding the scenario.
Steam library, capsules and images
The capsule art for the game was initially created using an AI tool, with significant manual refinements made in a graphic editor to achieve the final look and quality. In-game photographs were also generated with AI assistance, but all were pre-generated and further edited manually as needed. No AI is used in real-time within the game.
