Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Generative artificial intelligence has been used only to create a promotional image for the game. This image is part of the marketing material and does not affect the playable content. All game content, including narrative, mechanics, characters, environments and 3D assets, has been developed manually by the team.
We used AI tools (such as ChatGPT or Claude) to assist to a certain extent with C++ and Blueprint scripting during development. No AI-generated content is present in the final game assets. All visual, audio, and narrative content was created by the development team.
AI was used to create the visual art, music, voices, and sound effects. Abomination Ops was developed to demonstrate how modern artificial intelligence tools can be harnessed to craft a fully cinematic experience accessible to everyone. The story, world, and characters were conceived and written by a human being.
The game is created by myself.
Hand made logic, scripting, scenario, animation and music.
As a solo developer, AI was carefully used to help me creating only 3D models and some illustrations.
I used AI to help create this game, but I draw and I'm a graphic designer.
Every image was drawn and colored by hand before being processed through AI software.
My goal was truly to take inspiration from series like Love, Death & Robots or Secret Level.
None of the stories were created with AI — all narratives were entirely written by hand !!
This game uses AI to help create some pre-rendered visuals, 3D assets, and images, while all gameplay content is tested by hand for a unique player experience.
I used AI-assisted tools during development to help create some visual elements. All AI-generated assets were used as a base and were optimized and refined to fit the visual style and comply with copyright standards.
AI is utilized in creation of some UI elements, assisting in the creation of marketing images, and for voice-overs, which pending future funding may all change.
Some visual assets were created with the help of generative AI tools. These assets were later modified and updated manually during development. They are not direct or unedited outputs of the AI tools.
We use AI to quickly generate marketing materials—both images and text—during development to save time and explore ideas. These help us share the game's vision early, even as assets are still being created. All AI-generated content will be replaced with in-game footage and original art from our team as development progresses.
We use AI tools to generate visual assets such as backgrounds and character art. This allows us to focus our time and energy on writing the story and creating the gameplay experience. No AI is used for writing, voice acting, or decision-making.
We use AI tools to generate pre-rendered content such as concept art from sketches, 3D model bases to sculpt on, voice AI for NPCs and for some marketing materials.
Translation was supported by AI tools.
Some background textures include AI-generated content.
There is nothing that is being generated live in real-time by AI.
- 1 of the 8 optional title themes is alleged to have used AI - even though the band insists otherwise, offered up the track a year before this project existed, and refused any payment for doing so. You can interrogate them on the matter here:

Had I used AI myself, I like to think I'd take the opportunity to produce something more relevant than muttering "there are people who will never change" on a loop. I bought the rights to the other 7 themes in 2016, so it's unthinkable they used AI.
- I invested tens of thousands of dollars in professional assets from the Unity Asset Store - most of which again pre-date AI, or otherwise give assurances that it was not used.
- The "Infinite Lives" logo dates back to the iOS release of 2017, where using AI would have put a terrible strain on the space-time continuum.
- AI helped to depict the zombie fist in more of a comic book style and then upscale it to a higher resolution. The intention was to create an "other-worldly" art style that is deliberately distinct from the developer's own 2D or 3D. There was supposed to be a new cover every month like a real comic series.
- AI helped to construct a legal argument for the release of a customizable superhero sim, citing precedents and loopholes that the developer was not familiar with.
- My accountant may have used a calculator to calculate how much money we lost by releasing 2 games for the price of 1.
