Public Steam disclosure research 25,508 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
AI-generated art object
AI-generated art object
Some monster concepts were generated using AI, but all monsters have been manually designed and modified. They are not purely AI-generated assets. There are also 3 animal attack sounds that are synthesized using AI
Some audio assets have been created using generative AI.
This game is programmed using AI.
Part of the art resources in this game are generated through AI technology and undergo manual secondary processing To avoid potential infringement risks
This game uses generative AI for the creation of pre-rendered voiceovers
This game uses AI-generated assets for background, monsters, items, player images, and sound effects.
AI was used to help create a portion of the art for the game that is difficult and time consuming starting from nothing. This art is of some of the characters and objects in the game that had their rough form generated using google Gemini. All of the AI images generated were modified to match my game's world, and were made to be distinct and original from any other creative works. for example, one of the characters has an image of a beetle shell placed over his face among other artistic design changes to the original AI generated body.
AI-generated posters and songs
AI generated images used in a satirical context.
We utilize AI-generated art for some of our backgrounds.
It includes Steam store page images, some in-game visuals, and voice
We will use AI-generated marketing images for our promotional pictures. The usage locations will include the main promotional image, vertical promotional image, library promotional image, library profile image, and library home page image on the store page. The original materials are self-created and will be processed by AI for later use. There are no AI elements or AI-created content within the game.
Some UI elements, the main interface background image, and the store promotional images were generated using AI.
I'm using AI to generate the store capsule image, running the AI locally on my PC. The image does not violate any copyrights and accurately represents content from my game.
AI is only used in dialogues to improve the writting of them as none of the developers are native english speakers. There is 1 image that also was made with AI but is going to be replaced eventually. Apart from that nothing is AI generated and the game doesn't generate any live AI content. For any other material like store page or marketing material none is AI.
BGM in the game generated by Suno
Player can chat with ai characters, only mild sexual conversations are allowed, other kind of dangerous chats are unallowed.
The soundtrack has been created with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools.
AI tools are used to produce some textures in the game.
The development process of the game used AI to generate backgrounds, characters images, and other images such as items for hidden objects, runes for match-3, and jigsaw images. Game logo was partially generated with AI. Additionally, AI was used to generate voice-overs and some part of localizations into french and german.
This game uses AI generated images for the visual novel scenes and AI generated music for the soundtrack.
Some of the music art in the game comes from AI
In this game, we used a generative AI tool (ChatGPT) to design some of the custom shaders. The shaders used were tweaked by the developers and finally implemented for the built-in render pipeline. No generative AI was used for the in-game art, story, voice, etc.
This game utilizes some features of Stable Diffusion.
Artificial intelligence was used to create the content of the store page and to create the logo that will be visible on the store page.
AI used during development for some of the code, music, and marketing images.
BEFORE PATCH 1.2.0 : The capsule art was partially created using generative AI tools and then edited and refined manually. The logo was not generated by AI. No in-game content was created using AI. SINCE PATCH 1.2.0 : The game is 100% hand made : The new HAND-DRAWN key art is there, as requested by some players. I didn't think it would be such a big deal for some people at first. The old cover was ok but not great indeed. Now I realise it was a mistake, and it was my bad. From now on I'll either draw them myself to the best of my abilities, or hire a pro if I can afford it.
Promo materials.
The game itself is hand crafted, but the song in the music video and some character portraits involved AI.
No AI code generation is used in the game, only the enemy images in the game are AI generated, and all other resources are from the official RPGMaker MV. Other than that, all other content is original.
Store and other promotional graphics are ai generated
Character Voices are AI Generated
AI technology will be used to assist in creating visual content for store pages, marketing materials, and some in-game 2D assets.
Promo materials.
The vast majority of the artwork in the game was created by our team of artists, hired freelancers or purchased on market places. In some cases, AI was used to generate reference images to assist with the creative process, but all final assets were either fully redrawn or significantly refined by human artists to ensure quality and originality.
Some UI elements are created with the help of AI. AI has also been used to help to create vast and rich dialogue trees for the conversations between the player and some NPC's
translation, partial art, code & writing support
1. Some art materials were generated with AI assistance. 2. Localization text was translated with AI assistance. 3. No connection to real persons or graphics.
AI generated images and voices for game trailers
Voice acting
We used AI technology to generate some images and videos. The images include promotional graphics, game icons, some in-game ending interfaces, and mini-game UI screens. The videos consist of AI-generated segments depicting Fang Xiaoyu at different life stages interacting with Fang Zhilian, scenes showing the post-time-travel daily lives of protagonists from "Game Of Fate" 1-3 series (such as riding mammoths during the Ice Age or landing on another planet in spacesuits), as well as a display case presenting successful case studies of a human cloning program initiated by Chronos Corporation in a parallel timeline. Since these visual scenarios could not be feasibly captured through live-action filming, AI technology was utilized for their production.
The original illustration is loaded and the illustration is generated by AI.
In the game, the background image of the main interface and the static materials included in the plot animations are presented in a form that combines the original AI - generated images with subsequent modifications.
Voice for the AI assistant uses pre-rendered audio.
Artificial intelligence was used to create promotional art. Also for creating some graphic banners in the game.
Using AI to generate pre-rendered content for games, their store pages, marketing materials, and community assets.
The Voice Lines of the characters were all AI generated using open-source tools. The Store Page and Library Artworks are partially AI generated and AI enhanced (AI upscaled and edited). The Store description is enhanced using AI.
Minimal use of AI. Basic code generation. Upscale textures.
