Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Generative AI was used only for marketing materials: background music in the trailer and banner artwork for the store page
This game uses AI generated content for UI elements, imagery, and a small amount of dialogue.
Idle Startup is made by a solo developer with the help of generative AI. The milestone background artwork — the illustrations that unlock as each skill levels up — is generated with AI image tools and then selected and curated by the developer. The game's code is also written with the assistance of AI coding tools. All music and sound effects are generated procedurally in code, the interface art and icons are hand-drawn, and all in-game text is written by the developer.
Some of the artwork currently in Norectus: Theatre of War was created with generative AI tools during development, including card art, in-game backgrounds, and store images. We use it as placeholder art so we can build, balance, and expand the game during Early Access. We are commissioning human artists and replacing this AI-generated art over time. Every AI-assisted asset is reviewed by our team before it goes into the game.
EVE Vanguard uses AI-generated text-to-speech (TTS) for certain voice-over content, including character barks and narration. These assets are created under the direction of the development team to support the game's production and player experience. All writing, gameplay, worldbuilding, and overall creative vision are authored and curated by the game’s developers.
Some visual assets used in this game were created or assisted using generative AI during development and have been reviewed and edited by the developer before being included in the final game. The game does not use generative AI during gameplay and does not generate content in real time.
Some asset textures, background music, and assistance with game development questions include AI-generated content. No AI translation was used for Japanese, English, Korean, or Czech.
This game uses pre-generated AI-assisted content in a limited way. Some selected audio assets and minor in-game written/visual elements may have been created or edited with AI-assisted tools during development. The game does not use live-generated AI during gameplay and does not connect to any external AI service during gameplay.

The multilingual text translations on the store page and in-game were created with the assistance of artificial intelligence.
Generative AI tools (such as Gemini) were used to assist in creating the promotional capsule images and description text for this Steam store page. All in-game assets, including art and text, were created entirely by humans.
Every character's facial image and some of the gallery's artworks were created with AI.
It was partially used for depicting space backgrounds, BGM performance, multilingual translation, and metal light source effects.
ransparency Regarding AI Usage: We believe in being open with our community. To create a richer world, some of the music and text content in this game were generated using AI. Our development team also utilized AI coding assistants to help accelerate the development process. We understand the community's perspective on AI, and please be assured that all AI-generated assets have been strictly reviewed and refined by our human team. Thank you for your support and understanding!
This game uses pre-generated AI-assisted visual assets and background music. These assets were created before release, manually selected, edited, integrated, and reviewed for use in the shipped build and store materials. The game does not include live generative AI, user-facing AI prompts, AI chat, or dynamically generated content during gameplay.
The sound FX was generated using generative artificial intelligence due to financial constraints.

All AI-assisted content has been reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer before being included in the game or on the Steam store page. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay.
This game uses AI-generated artwork for character portraits and encounter illustrations. All other content — game design, code, writing, and audio — is human-created.
As a solo developer, some assets started with AI assistance. I personally handled all final design and polish.
This game makes extensive use of generative AI for nearly all player-facing content. All assets, textures, shaders, fonts, some animations, sound effects, and music are fully generated using AI tools and then integrated and refined within the game. As a core rule of the project, everything the player sees and hears has to be AI-generated. Game design, mechanics, level design, and technical implementation are created and controlled by the developer. AI is used as a content creation tool and does not dynamically generate gameplay content or influence player experience in real time. No personal player data is processed by AI systems during gameplay.
This game contains some pre-generated AI-created artwork. AI-assisted images are used for certain visual assets, such as event illustrations (for example, cup draw graphics), news imagery, and other decorative artwork. These images are pre-generated during development and are not created dynamically during gameplay. All gameplay, mechanics, and player decisions are authored by the developer.
Generative artificial intelligence was used in the creation of some images and video assets in the game. The production process of the promotional images on the store page utilized generative artificial intelligence. The voice-over materials for the game were produced using generative artificial intelligence.
Yes. Geoplanetical is a solo project, just me. I use generative AI in a few places. It helps me translate the game and this Steam page into other languages, though I check every translation myself. It also helps me research and format the game's real world starting data, which comes from public sources like the World Bank, the IMF and Natural Earth, and I verify all of that data myself too. The character portraits, around 60,000 of them, are generated with AI. The promotional images and text on this store page were made with AI as well. That's it. Nothing else in the game uses generative AI, and none of it runs while you play. If you want to know where the rest of the game's content comes from, like the real world datasets, the hand made assets and the Creative Commons icons, it's all documented in the About section inside the game.
AI has been used to refine the game balance, produce the graphics and the code for Conglomerate. As a solo indie dev, AI is used to bounce ideas and support the game development, replicating having a development partner.
Some album artwork and illustrations are created with the assistance of AI generation tools during the production process. AI-generated outputs are used only as drafts or production aids. All such materials are carefully selected, modified, edited, and post-processed by our development team to create the final content. Every AI-assisted asset included in the game is finalized through the creative judgment and thorough review of our development team.
TIDEFALL uses generative AI in parts of its development: • Some 2D artwork and the store/marketing images were created or assembled with the help of AI tools, then edited and reviewed by the developer. • The Korean and Simplified Chinese localizations were produced with AI assistance and reviewed for quality and consistency. All music and sound effects are human-made, openly-licensed (CC0) works and are not AI-generated. No generative AI runs while you play — the game generates no content or code at runtime and connects to no external AI service.
AI-assisted creation was used for some scenes, plot effects, UI, language localization, and sound effects.
AI tools are used only as internal support during the development process, such as checking dialogue for typos, missing words, and the correctness of text-effect tags, as well as providing programming support.
2D art and some in-game text were made with generative AI tools and hand-edited.
The game has AI-generated content - Images in the banners on the page - Images during the game - Translations and editing support
Some visual assets in the game (such as background elements and sprites) were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. Some localizations were produced using AI-assisted translation. AI tools may also be used for some promotional and store page materials.
AI was utilized in the following areas: * Art Assets: Two textures (the move marker and UI background) were generated using AI tools. * Development: AI was primarily used for code review, debugging, and localization support. * Audio: Some musical tracks and voices may have been AI-generated. Text: Help text was generated and proofread with AI assistance. * In-Game Feature: The game includes llama.cpp, enabling an experimental feature where players can consult an AI about chess moves.
Some visual assets used in the game and store page were created or modified with the assistance of generative AI, including certain UI elements, icons, and promotional artwork. AI-assisted translation was also used for some store page localizations. All AI-generated content was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer.
Our game utilized Generative AI tools strictly for specific conceptual and design elements during development, ensuring no automated content replaces our team's hand-crafted work: - Characters & Monsters: We used Midjourney to generate initial visual concepts for the main playable character and a few specific monsters. Our pixel artists used these generated images purely as a creative reference to manually draw and animate the final 2D pixel-art sprites from scratch. - Relics & UI Elements: ChatGPT was utilized during the brainstorming phase to conceptualize the initial ideas for in-game relics and various UI design layouts. Based on the generated outputs, we thoroughly refined the designs, adjusted the details, and performed visual post-processing to adapt and implement them into the game as our final production assets. We are committed to delivering a high-quality game where AI is only used as a selective tool to spark creativity, respecting the dedicated work of our development team.
As a solo developer several of the art assets used during the development of the game are generated using AI models with art references. Should the game be successful it is my hope to slowly start using commissioned art.
- AI used for some sound effects (SFX) - AI used for some background music (BGM)
Everything except the gameplay, copywriting, and visual effects is made with AI.
