Public Steam disclosure research25,376 disclosures tracked
Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
In "Pyramid Clicker," we harnessed artificial intelligence to create some of the game's visual elements. AI helped us generate unique artifact images, diverse backgrounds, and certain in-game resources. This allowed us to expand the game's visual variety, creating a distinctive atmosphere of Ancient Egypt with a touch of fantasy.
AI was used to enhance some card character drawings with more detail, and generate some voice lines. We'll strive to deliver more authentic content as soon as we can!
Art and text in the game do not directly use any AI-generated content.
However, the character portraits and item UI designs are based on AI designs.
The artwork will be created by the artist.
Especially for the character portraits, each one took a significant amount of time to create.
A very small portion of the sound effects and music in the game are created or modified by AI.
Ai will be simply used to generate templates for backgrounds, wallpapers other features of the game, but then customized using Photoshop and other software to make it unique for the game and players!
Our game uses AI exclusively to generate visuals for the Steam store page. No AI is used within the gameplay itself or to generate any in-game content. The AI-generated visuals are intended to enhance the presentation of our game on the Steam platform.
AI (Nano Banana) was used to generate background environment concepts featured in certain UI elements. These concepts were then manually reworked and finalized by our artists.
All characters were created entirely by hand by our external artists, Amandine Flahaut and Yaël Préjeant. All weapons were created entirely by hand by Yaël Préjeant. All UI was designed manually by our Art Director, Benjamin François.
Hey folks, RantCPU here with a little update on RantCPU's ClickBait! We're all about parodying AI tech, and we’re taking it very seriously. To save on those sky-high computing costs, I've roped in some human "assistants" and forced them to handle most of the heavy lifting. So, while some minor assets might get a touch of AI magic, the main game goodies, including all my cards, are human-made and ethically sourced. Apologies in advance for any slip-ups—unlike my flawless AI brilliance, humans are bound to mess up now and then. Enjoy the game and embrace the chaos!
Some art assets, mainly the store page, have been originally created with the use of image generation AI. Which then have gone through manual editing to apply enhancements and branding such as logos or text. Masking and cleanup have also been applied by hand to remove unwanted elements and/or apply the required dimension changes.
The reason for the usage of image generation AI for art assets are the following:
- Cut the team cost for art commissions. Art is a minimal focus of this game.
- Accurately portray the main artistic vision for the game, which in this case is minimalism. Image generation has helped to reach this goal of art assets reflecting the artistic nuances the game aims for the player to "feel".
In the production of the game, AI-generated images were used, which were then manually processed and corrected. Some of the text content was generated by AI (then corrected and edited manually).
In development process some images were generated by AI. Also localizations of all text's were generated by AI - all languages except english and polish
The artists in our game who sell you their artwork are themselves a form of artificial intelligence. To stay true to these artists, the artwork they offer to sell you was generated using our novel artwork combined with ethically sourced generative AI. Elements of our code and dialogue have been edited, in part, using large language models. Steam community assets & marketing materials have been, in part, created with the assistance of Google Gemini or with Adobe Photoshop's generative AI. Some music in the game and promotional materials were generated using Suno.
We use AI technology only in one very specific way: to bring the ship’s computer to life with a voice. These lines are generated during development, not in real time. Every sound is carefully reviewed, optimized, and fine-tuned by us until it feels authentic and exactly how we imagine a spacecraft’s onboard system should sound.
Our goal is immersion. The AI voice is a tool that helps us craft a computer voice that feels convincing and consistent, so that when you sit in the cockpit, it really feels like your ship is speaking to you.
We used generative AI tools to create base 3D meshes for some of the NPCs and initial compositions for achievement icons. These assets were not used 'as-is'; our team manually performed UV unwrapping, created custom texture masks, and modified the materials to ensure they work with our custom-made in-game shaders. This manual rework allows the assets to match our game’s unique visual style, performance standards, and lighting requirements.
Some of the audio in the work is generated by AI, with a few illustrations and very few scene backgrounds assisted in art production by AI-generated images.
Some static 2D art assets such as key art, loading screens, and promotional images were created using AI-assisted tools and then manually edited by the developer.
The game itself does not use AI to generate any live content, dialogue, or gameplay elements.
I am proud of the fact that everything you see and hear in the game is made by humans. Work by talented artists and human creativity created all the assets, soundtracks and story elements you experience in the game. For full transparency I do want to disclose that Language Models were used for assisting while coding and for translating the game in the wide number of languages using DeepL. However through community effort we continuously refine these translations to be the most fitting they can be.
Art and visual assets were created with AI-assisted tools as part of a custom development pipeline. All assets are manually reviewed, edited, and refined to meet the game’s creative vision and maintain stylistic consistency. The game does not use AI to generate content at runtime.
Initial localization for non-english languages was done using large language models. The community has improved on that localization immensely.
The game itself contains no generative content, with the exception of localization.
The backgrounds for the research/videos were pre-generated by AI and manually adjusted to the desired state.
Localization in all languages except Russian.
