This game was built by a solo developer using AI-assisted coding tools throughout development, including for generating SVG code that was rendered into game icons. All creative direction, game design, and visual style decisions were made by the developer. No AI image generation models were used to create artwork.
This game's art assets, including sprites, UI elements, and visual designs, were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. Audio and gameplay programming were developed without AI-generated content. All AI-generated assets have been reviewed and curated by the developer.
Pingo uses generative AI to provide certain dialogue, monologue, and personalized text interactions. When these features are enabled, the game generates responses based on player input, context, and the selected AI configuration. Some features may connect to external AI services, and players may also choose to use their own compatible models or API configuration.
The game uses some AI images for placeholder purposes.
Generative AI was used to help create some assets for the store page and game placeholders, such as concept images and promotional visuals. No AI-generated content appears in the final gameplay itself.
We have used generative AI tools to assist in the creation of several game assets, including background music (BGM), environment background images, and various UI elements such as icons and store banners. All AI-generated content has been thoroughly reviewed and refined by our development team to ensure high quality and to confirm that it does not contain any illegal or infringing material. The final assets are integrated into the game as static files and are not generated in real-time during gameplay.

A large part of the art in War of the Damned has been generated using Artificial Intelligence.
This game uses pre-generated AI-assisted images only in the opening video. The AI-assisted content is limited to pre-rendered video material included in the game build. It is not used in the store page trailer, screenshots, Steam community assets, or other marketing materials. The game does not use live generative AI. No AI content is generated during gameplay, and players cannot enter prompts or otherwise cause new AI-generated content to be created. All AI-assisted images used in the opening video have been reviewed and edited by the developer to ensure they are appropriate for the game, consistent with the game's content disclosures, and do not intentionally include illegal or infringing content.
The Logo is AI Made.
Our store assets were created using a hybrid workflow. We used AI tools to generate initial concepts and textures, which were then extensively edited, refined, and combined with custom illustrations by an artist to ensure a unique, high-quality final result.
AI is only used to create banners and promotional visuals. It is not used in gameplay, programming, or any core game content.

Statement Regarding the Use of AI in Development We maintain a strict and transparent policy regarding the use of AI in our creative process: 【100% Original Human Artistry】 Every character illustration and original soundtrack (BGM) in the game is handcrafted and composed by our development team. These core assets are created "stroke by stroke" and "note by note," with absolutely no AI generation involved. 【Precision Application of AI Technology】 The use of AI is strictly limited to "Game Backgrounds." To ensure a consistent artistic style across diverse real-world locations, we utilize AI solely for stylistic harmonization and animation processing. 【From Reality to Virtual Worlds】 Every background is rooted in reality. Our team personally traveled to each location for on-site photography. These original photos serve as the foundation, which are then stylized via AI to ensure a seamless blend between real-world scenery and our hand-drawn characters. Players can view the original reference photos in the in-game Media Library.
Generative AI tools were used during development to help create early drafts of some game-related content (for example, concept ideas and text drafts). All such content was reviewed, edited, and approved by the developer before release. The shipped game does not generate AI content during gameplay and does not use any external AI services at runtime.
This game uses AI-generated content for localization. All in-game text translations are produced with the assistance of generative AI.
part of image, sound
All assets in this project are handcrafted, the only usage of generative AI is locally run LLM (Large Language Models), TTS (Text To Speech), and STT (Speech To Text) systems used for the optional feature of live conversation with the user created character.
Some visible in-game assets, including but not limited to cutscenes, characters, environments, and UI elements, were created or visually enhanced with the help of AI, including generation based on white model references. Some store page assets were also created or visually enhanced with the help of AI, including generation based on white model references. Some music and sound effects were generated with the help of AI. Some localized language content was translated with the help of AI.

Store / community assets (store page presentation): We used generative AI tools to create or edit some promotional graphics used on the store page (e.g., capsule images, key art, banners). All final assets were reviewed and edited by the developer before publishing. Audio (background music): Some in-game background music (BGM) was created with the assistance of generative-AI-based tools. The final audio was reviewed and edited (and where applicable mixed/mastered) by the developer before being included in the game. Gameplay / features: The game does not include features that generate content for players in real time (e.g., AI chat or player-prompted content generation). The use of AI is limited to asset creation support during development.

We may use AI-assisted tools during development to help streamline content creation—such as generating placeholder or supporting elements like character voiceovers. All AI-assisted content is guided, refined, and finalized by our development and creative team. The finished product fully reflects our creative vision, with AI serving only as a tool to accelerate the process—not replace the craftsmanship behind it.
Some in-game art is created with AI-assisted workflows. Players can also use AI to generate their own characters from photos, making each hero feel more personal.

During the development process, we leverage AI tools to support the generation of specific art assets and the creation of procedural content. This approach is primarily driven by resource limitations within our art team and the need to address schedule constraints. AI assists us in rapidly prototyping 3D model foundations, generating initial environmental textures, and sketching concept art, enabling our artists to focus on high-value creative tasks such as refining character expressions, animating skill VFX, and unifying the artistic vision. It is important to note that none of our key visual elements (including core 3D characters, environments, and dynamic effects) are directly AI-generated final products. Instead, AI outputs are used as starting points that undergo extensive manual refinement, detail sculpting, and artistic reinterpretation by our dedicated art team. We are committed to rejecting any shortcuts of using AI-generated 2D imagery to compromise player experience; instead, we prioritise "AI boosting efficiency, humans defining quality". The final game's visuals are a testament to our artists' craftsmanship and aesthetic rigor. Additionally, AI streamlines our workflow management, allowing our limited resources to prioritise gameplay strategy and combat tuning. Player privacy and the responsible use of AI remain paramount: No player data is used for training or shared externally without consent.
After I personally finalized the design phase, some art assets were first rendered using generative AI tools, and I then manually refined and detailed them. Similarly, certain background music pieces were developed with the help of generative AI tools. Should you have any concerns about these methods, please feel free to experience the game according to your own preferences. Thank you for your understanding and consideration.
