Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
AI was used during development to help with visual and sound effects.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with portions of the game's pre-generated 2D artwork, UI assets, localization, code, and promotional materials. All output was reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay.
Some item names and interface translations into languages other than English were created with AI assistance, then carefully reviewed and edited by the developer. Parts of the 2D artwork were created with image generation tools, then carefully curated, edited, and composited by hand. Audio was created by people and comes from CC0-licensed sources with attribution. No AI content is generated during gameplay. The game does not generate AI content at runtime, and no player data is ever sent to any AI service.
AI tools assisted with coding and select supporting visual assets. All writing, mechanics, systems, and game design are original.
AI was used to generate code, assets, graphics and sounds.
Generative AI is used solely to assist with localization and translation work. The game does not use AI-generated art, audio, or real-time in-game content.
Initially used Ai generated pixel art as a place-holder, but I actually like it very much, it makes it much more wholesome and cute, fitting into the vibe of the game!
This game includes some content created with generative AI: the music and sound effects were made using AI audio tools, and the in-game translations for languages other than English and French were produced with AI translation tools. The artwork, game design and gameplay are created by the developer.
In Beast Market, generative AI tools are used during development to assist with the creation of certain game assets. This includes some character and monster artwork, background and UI art, item icons, and certain sound effects. All AI-assisted assets are reviewed, edited, curated, and approved by the development team before being included in the game. All AI-generated content is pre-generated during development and included in the game as fixed assets. Beast Market does not generate AI content during gameplay, nor does it transmit player data to any AI system while the game is being played.
The developer used generative AI tools during development to help create some art assets (such as character portraits, sprites, and background art) and marketing materials (store capsules and trailers), and to assist with text localization. All AI-assisted content was reviewed and edited by the developer. The game itself does not generate any content in real time and does not connect to AI services during gameplay.
Some visual assets were created with the assistance of generative AI and were subsequently reviewed, refined, and integrated into the game by the developer. Compadesk does not use live-generated AI during gameplay.
Some of the art assets in Bomb Farm - including character, item and environment artwork used in the game, on our store page and in Steam Community images - were created with the help of generative AI tools, and were then reviewed, edited and assembled by our team before being included in the build. Bomb Farm does not generate any content with AI while you play. All content ships pre-made inside the game build; there is no live/real-time AI generation and the game does not connect to any external AI service.
Generative AI was used during development to assist with localization and the creation of character voices. During gameplay, AI generates Amber’s dialogue and speech in real time and determines her actions and facial expressions based on the player’s interactions.
Astral Outpost was built by a solo developer working with AI tools. Some visual assets ( mostly marketing ) including the key art seen on the start screen and store page were created with generative AI and hand-finished. In-game text and its translations were drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by the developer. Nothing is generated by AI while you play: every piece of content in the game is fixed and human-reviewed before it ships.
AI agent is used during the production of this game.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with selected pre-generated visual assets, promotional artwork, store-page materials, text, and code. All AI-assisted content was reviewed and edited by the developer before inclusion. The game does not generate AI content while running.
AI was used to troubleshoot code and to draft isolated sections of the codebase, which I then finalized. All graphics, UI, and music are made without AI. AI was used for initial translation from English into other languages. Many translations were then reviewed and edited by native speakers.
Some character art, icons, and store capsule/key-art images in this game were created with the help of generative AI tools (Google Gemini). All AI-generated assets were reviewed, curated, and edited by the developer, and do not misuse third-party copyrighted works. No AI content is generated live for players at runtime — all assets are pre-generated and fixed.
Selected promotional artwork on the Steam store page was created with assistance from generative AI tools. This artwork was manually reviewed and edited by the developer. The application itself does not contain any AI-generated code or visual assets, does not generate AI content during use, and does not connect to external AI services.
Some visual assets were created with the assistance of generative AI tools as part of the development process. No content is generated by AI during gameplay.
90% of the art is from Eggy's Games. However 10% of AI images were generated for late game worlds, star cosmos backgrounds, alt reality backgrounds and items.
Few of the game art / assets were AI generated

Artificial intelligence was used during development solely as a coding assistant for programming, code optimization, and localization.
Helped with bug fixes and proofreading.
Some in-game art assets are AI-generated.
For Localization Texts.
The images of the animals on the cards are created with the help of generative AI. The other art in the game is created by hand.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with portions of the game’s code. All AI-assisted code was reviewed, edited, and tested by the developer. The game does not generate AI content during gameplay and does not connect to external AI services.
The game features hundreds of unique collectible cards. As a solo developer, creating every card from scratch would be extremely time-consuming, so the majority of the collectible card artwork was generated using AI. This allows more time to be spent improving the game’s core feel and other key systems. The cards will continue to be revised throughout development.
Generative AI was used during the development of this game to assist with the creation of certain visual assets and to help with portions of the programming process. All gameplay mechanics, game design, story, progression, and creative direction were designed and implemented by the developer.
AI Artwork includes the logo for the game ONLY!
This game's code was written with the assistance of generative AI. No AI-generated artwork or audio is used. The visuals are hand-coded by the developer and the music is procedurally generated. AI also assisted with some in-game text and its French translation.
I built Orbisphere as a solo developer using AI tools under human direction. The soundtrack was created with generative AI music tools, with each track directed, selected, and edited by me. In-game vector artwork was authored with AI assistance from my terrible MS Paint references and designs. All game design, writing, systems, and balance are my own work.
Heartwood Incremental was made by a solo developer working alongside an AI assistant (Anthropic's Claude). The AI helped write the game's code, including the code that procedurally draws its pixel-art sprites, tree, and icons, and helped draft written content such as upgrade, achievement, and store text. Everything was directed, reviewed, and refined by the human developer, and hand-checked before release. No generative AI runs while you play: nothing is created on your device at runtime, and all art and text are fixed in the build.
Generative AI was used during production of some visual and audio assets. All generated material is selected, directed, edited, and integrated through a human-led creative process. The game does not generate content with AI during play.
The cover image was created using AI.
AI is used to translate/localize this game. AI is used to assist programming of this game.
Certain visual elements and marketing assets for the game were produced with support from generative AI tools. Every AI-assisted asset was carefully selected, edited, and adjusted by the developer to match the game’s intended art style and overall quality.

Part of the store page assets were enhanced with AI tools.
Pre-generated AI: GPT Image 2 was used during development to create 2D paper-cut-style images included in the app, including weather phenomena, collectible visitors, ecosystem entities, Steam achievement icons, and key art for Steam store capsules and library assets. The developer selected and edited these images, including cropping, background removal, color and alpha cleanup, and export. The app does not use generative AI at runtime.
As a solo developer, I unfortunately cannot afford to hire artists or creators, so the media in my game is a mix of AI-generated and hand-edited/crafted. I would love to have my assets professionally made, but the cost of somewhere around two thousand icons, portraits, and other media assets would be far more than I can afford as just some guy working alone. I've done my best to create the best art and sounds with the tools I have access to, trying extremely hard to make things you will enjoy. If this game were to ever be successful enough, I'd love to hire professional artists one day to remake my assets (and for my future games). I thank you for your understanding, and I hope the game is good enough to get me there eventually!
This game uses generative AI for some pre-generated content. Specifically, generative AI tools were used in the creation of some in-game background/wallpaper assets and some in-game background music. All such content has been reviewed, selected, and edited by the developer before being included in the game. The game does not use live-generated AI content during gameplay.
Monotony Idle is made by a two-person team working alongside AI tools, and we want to be straightforward about where that shows up. Some in-game text, imagery, and data were drafted with AI assistance. Our store page materials - capsule art, store text, and trailer - were built from the game's real assets. All screenshots and trailer footage are captures of actual gameplay, not AI-fabricated imagery. Live-generated content: none. The game does not use AI at runtime - nothing is generated while you play, and the game never sends your data to any AI service. Every AI-assisted asset was directed, reviewed, and approved by a human before shipping.
Some placeholder art in the current build was AI-generated and is being replaced with hand-made art ahead of release.
Localizations are mostly AI generated. AI was lightly used in programming.
This game uses AI-generated artwork for store page assets, including capsule images, promotional graphics, and character illustrations. The game logo and visual marketing materials were created with the assistance of AI image generation tools. No AI content is generated during gameplay — all in-game content is pre-authored. No third-party AI services are connected during gameplay.
The game's music soundtrack was created using generative AI tools. All other game content was created by the developer.
Kaironia uses generative AI tools during the development process to create pre-rendered assets. Specifically, AI-assisted tools were used to help create background music tracks, certain 2D environmental icons and images, and to assist with multi-language text localization. None of these assets are generated dynamically or live during gameplay.
