Public Steam disclosure research 25,383 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
Game logo was generated using Google Gemini.
This game used generative AI during the development process to assist with the creation and modeling visual assets, including characters designs and environmental textures like buildings.
Some musical tracks were created with the help of AI.
Generative AI was used to assist with programming and some pre-recorded voice-over audio.
No live AI generation is used during gameplay. TinSpring Soccer's boards, characters, textures, and sounds are produced procedurally by game code. AI tools were used under developer direction for implementation, localization, and selected store page artwork.
The background images and honeyberrys pictures are pre-rendered AI art.
Some of the visual elements are generated.
In this game AI was used to generate a few abstract textures in 4th and 5th game worlds. Game's logo was also made partially with a help of image generation tooling.
AI tools were used during development to assist with coding and to create internal task, references and supporting documentation. The game does not include any player-facing generative AI features.
Some of this game's assets were made with the assistance of generative AI tools and were reviewed, curated and hand-finished by the developer. No content is generated while you play.
Dubstep: Solar System is an AI-assisted indie game — the studio name, Vibe Coded Reality, wears it proudly. Here is exactly how generative AI was used: MUSIC: The entire 46-track original dubstep soundtrack was generated with Suno under a paid commercial license, from prompts written by the developer — every track hand-picked from multiple takes and play-tested against the game's beat-gate timing. CODE: Much of the game's code was written with AI coding assistants working under the developer's direction; all game design, difficulty tuning, and play-testing are human work. STORE ARTWORK: The cover and capsule artwork were created with AI image tools, then composed and typeset by the developer. All in-game visuals are drawn procedurally by the game's own code — no AI-generated images appear inside the game itself, and nothing is generated by AI at runtime while you play.
Generative AI tools assisted with English Steam store-page copy, and were used to create pre-generated illustrative key art for Steam store capsules, library artwork, and the store-page background. All AI-assisted outputs are reviewed, edited, integrated, and tested by the developer. The artwork is promotional and is not presented as gameplay footage; screenshots and trailers are captured from the actual game. The game does not use generative AI at runtime or generate live player-facing content.
no ai assets inside the game, just the store capsule
Some of the audio assets and objects were created with the assistance of AI tools.
Most of the visual assets used in the game's promotional materials and Steam Store page were created with the assistance of AI image generation tools, and were subsequently selected and refined by the developer. The game's gameplay, level design, programming, and game logic were developed by the developer with input from AI throughout the development process. The game does not use AI to generate any content during gameplay.
The game to contain art assets generated by artificial intelligence
During development we may use procedural and AI-based tools to assist with sound effects creation. The final result is always chosen and edited by the developer.
Generative AI tools were used during the art creation process to generate initial inspiration and drafts. All final art assets were then redrawn, refined, and finalized by the developer to ensure visual consistency, polish, and alignment with the game's overall tone.
AI was used to enhance and adapt original images to widescreens.
We used generative AI for some promotional artwork. No AI is used in the game itself.
Generative AI was used to produce the English voice-over for the in-game AI character. This was an intentional creative choice because the character itself is an artificial intelligence. AI also assisted with localization; however, responsibility for the final content rests with a human.
Generative AI is used to assist with multilingual translation and some BGM.
This game uses artificial intelligence to assist in generating art assets and supplementing the game code architecture. (AI was not used for game design or music.)
AI tools were used during development to assist with concept art, visual references, and certain promotional assets. All gameplay systems, mechanics, and core design were created and implemented by the development team. AI was used strictly as a supportive tool and does not directly control gameplay or player experience.
Some BGs and the temporary world map use AI generated 2D content which is based on 3D asset packs. However, these assets are intended as temporary placeholders and in the polish process they are planned to be swapped with hand made ones.
Generative AI tools were used during development to assist with writing, optimising, and structuring code.
The observation tower model in SaboTour was initially created using an AI-based 3D generation tool, then manually repaired, retopologized and finished in Blender. No other AI-generated content is included, and the game does not generate any content using AI while it is running.
I'm a solo developer. The idea, design, writing, levels and world are my own work. I use AI to help me write code, and some environment art starts from AI-generated drafts that I then repaint and edit by hand in Procreate. Nothing is AI-generated while you play. The music is a real recording from the 1930s.
Some images and audio were generated using AI technology.
Generative AI was used to assist in creating some visual assets for the game's store page and promotional materials. All gameplay mechanics, programming, level design, story, and final game implementation were created by the developer.
This game and its Steam store page contain pre-generated content created with assistance from generative AI tools. AI image generation was used for selected 2D pixel-art assets, which were then curated, edited, cleaned, resized, and integrated by the developer. AI and machine-assisted tools were also used to prepare initial drafts of localized interface text, store-page descriptions, and other marketing copy, followed by developer review and revision. The game does not generate content during play and does not connect to any generative AI service.
Pre-generated AI tools were used to create store page and marketing artwork (capsules, key art, banners, broadcast panels). No AI-generated content ships inside the game itself: all in-game visuals are built procedurally in code or come from CC0 asset kits. No live-generated AI content.
Some environment and concept art in Stick Together was created with the help of generative AI tools, then edited and approved by our team. All visuals are fixed at release, and players cannot generate their own AI content in‑game.
Generative AI was used during development to assist with the creation of certain visual assets, localization, and store page materials. All AI-generated content has been reviewed, edited, and integrated by the developer. The game does not generate content with AI at runtime.
All of the in-game voice-overs were created using AI.
Some in-game and marketing images were generated with AI.
AI tools are used to assist with the localization of in-game and store page text into other languages. All translations are reviewed by the development team and improved with community feedback. Some marketing artwork (store capsules and promotional images) was created with AI assistance, based on the game's own assets, characters and art style. All in-game content, gameplay, art assets and audio design are created by the development team.
Pre-generated AI was used for store text and five original rank-emblem images (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, and Grand Racc) shown in the ranked hub and marketing. The emblems were made from our own prompts with OpenAI Codex ImageGen, reviewed and processed by us, and use no third-party source art. The game generates no AI content during play.
AI tool assisted in translating the store page into 15 different languages. We do NOT use AI-generated art, and we never intentionally include AI assets in our game. We sometimes buy assets and use stock photos. We do our best to verify them, but nowadays, distinguishing AI from human-made art can be hard. That said, if there is any specific artwork that you believe looks like AI or raises concerns, we would appreciate it if you could point it out on our Discord server. We will investigate and replace anything that might have slipped through. AI-generated art is NOT something we want to include in our game.
Background elements, signs and graffitis are generated with AI.
Some of the store marketing images were created with AI assistance.
Cover art, store page imagery and music were created with AI generation tools. All game design, writing and gameplay systems were created by the developer.
AI assistance was used for the game's coding.
Yeah, I used some AI music. Big woop wanna fight about it? All other in-game assets are made by hoomans much more talented than myself. Images on the store page are also currently AI generated placeholders. These will be replaced during Early Access with art by people.
- sound effects - male/female speeches - some UI elements - models (character)
AI was used only during early development for temporary placeholder assets. These materials are not intended to be included in the final shipped game. The game does not use live-generated AI content during gameplay.
We used AI tools to generate several 2D images and art assets used throughout the game.
Some Assets may be produced with the help of AI
The Hero Capsule and main logo was created using AI tools only. The other assets of the game were not created using AI tools.
Some models and textures in the game are AI generated to save resources as a solo developer.
