Where do games disclose AI use?
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across
games, and follow recorded changes.
This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to
statements published on individual store pages.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam.
Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
AI-generated images are used for game and store page images.
Scope of use
・Standing pictures of the main character(men) and demon
・Enemy graphics
・Backgrounds of conversation parts
・Store page image backgrounds
Some promotional artwork and visuals in Zombie Pandemia 2D were crafted using AI-assisted tools. These include images of real-life styled characters and zombies designed to enhance the immersive storytelling and atmosphere.
All in-game content, such as characters, environments, and gameplay elements, has been manually created to deliver an authentic experience tailored for our players.
The use of AI tools was focused solely on marketing assets to bring you a glimpse of the post-apocalyptic world of Zombie Pandemia 2D.
Due to my limited artistic ability, I have made use of a generative artificial intelligence —diffusion model, on the store page to assist in the display of promotional and sales images. But please rest assured that the game screenshots are all taken from real playing process. Finally, I hope you enjoy my independent game!
"The Madness of Billiards" uses artificial intelligence exclusively for generating certain pre-rendered images and some voice effects in the game. These AI-generated assets contribute to the game's immersive experience but are not used for live content generation or code modifications during gameplay.
In our effort to provide a visually appealing experience, we have incorporated generation tools for some secondary visual elements, such as 2D portraits. Most of the artistic resources that require greater attention to detail have been developed manually. This has allowed us to maintain an artistic standard and ensure that each component of the game reflects a unique and engaging atmosphere.
AI-generated artwork was used during early development, primarily as temporary material while testing and building the game.
Much of this artwork has already been replaced, both in the game and on the Steam page, with original work created by commissioned artists and by me. I will continue replacing remaining assets where bespoke artwork meaningfully improves the game, with a strong focus on ensuring that its characters, environments, key visuals, and overall artistic identity are shaped by original artist-created work.
Due to budget constraints, the cover illustrations in the Story menu of the game are generated using AI, which will hardly have any substantial impact on the gameplay experience. Depending on future budget considerations, we will decide whether to hire an illustrator to redraw the illustrations.
Some of the language translations in the game are done using AI. If you have any better localization suggestions, please feel free to contact me!
We utilized AI tools to generate internal references for composition and framing. These outputs were then used as a base to manually create handcrafted pixel art assets, ensuring all final in-game visuals follow our custom palettes and artistic standards.
Well, just some images for background and characters that produced by artists and AI, were checked by artists and issued as free. So these assets are ok to use.
Ai was used to create the backgrounds of the steam advertisement pictures with the "Shoot Until You Rest" title on it. To clarify: The screenshots did NOT get modified by ai.
A few assets are based on an ai generated image that was further modified with picture-editing-tools(for example the puddle of the slow grenade).
In our ongoing effort to bring you a unique and immersive gaming experience, we’ve integrated AI-assisted tools into the creation of some of our in-game art. These tools have been used to inspire and enhance the visual style of our game, helping to generate distinct and creative elements that complement our hand-crafted assets.
By utilizing AI, we’ve been able to explore new artistic possibilities, ensuring that our game features a vibrant and visually compelling world. However, every AI-assisted asset has been carefully reviewed, refined, and curated by our development team to align with our artistic vision and maintain a cohesive aesthetic throughout the game.
Our primary goal is to deliver a game that is both visually stunning and enjoyable, and AI has been one of the many tools we've used to achieve that. We hope you enjoy the result as much as we enjoyed creating it!
I use Ai to aid in a variety of topics such as 2D artwork such as UI elements as well as help with ques and dialog ideas. Music is also designed by Ai.
AI was used in the BlueSky/Concepting phase of development to help ideate some designs of characters and UI to save time on our small team. Stable Diffusion using in-house created libraries and loras created from our own original art and not publicly available libraries was used in this process. These concepts are then taken and turned into functional useable game art created by hand, by real artists. Oftentimes this human created art ends up looking nothing like the original concept. No where in the game is any raw AI art used.
I have incorporated artificial intelligence elements into the promotional images of the store, which can make the store look more like what I hope and quickly visualize my ideas
AI was used to generate the picture on the menu screen as well as the game's logo picture. AI was not used to write code or has anything to do with gameplay. I didn't have an artist at the time of creation.
This game's development leveraged Gen-AI to sample in-game sprites for the player and enemy ships. These same sprites have been sent over to paid artists to create their own renditions of these sprites. All other assets such as music, sound effects, and steam page capsules were created by paid artists.
We use procedural and AI-assisted tools to support content creation. However, all final in-game content is shaped and reviewed by our development team reflecting our own creativity and expression.
AI is used only for generating following steam store assets:
Header Capsule
Small Capsule
Main Capsule
Vertical Capsule
Library Header
There is no AI content in the actual game. All assets were either bought from unity asset store, or made by me.
This game makes usage of generative AI in various forms.
- Image generators for marketing/store page materials and loading screens in game.
- Sound generators and text to speech models for robotic announcer voice and some of the SFX.
- 3D model generation for a limited subset of assets.
