Public Steam disclosure research 25,383 disclosures tracked
Search developers’ Steam disclosures, compare classified AI use across games, and follow recorded changes. This index adds cross-game classifications and statistics to statements published on individual store pages.
Code help, debugging and other development work.
Capsule art, trailers and promotional material.
Pre-made art, audio, writing and other game assets.
Interactive or runtime AI features disclosed by the developer.
Groups reflect automatic analysis of public disclosures; mature records are excluded. These counts do not measure AI use across all of Steam. Missing or unclear statements cannot establish whether a game uses AI.
The game's menu visuals, menu background music, store images, and soundtrack were generated using AI tools before being added to the game and store.
Some use of AI in game's narrative, drawings, and some of the store page materials.
It is used as the base design for character visuals and skill icons.
The game uses local, offline LLMs (meaning no data ever leaves your computer and nothing is used in training) for controlling and adapting the behavior of the main enemy in the game.
AI used to create some marketing materials. 1 man dev team so used AI to go from concept sketch to digital assets.
Some visual assets used in the game's main menu, promotional materials, and Steam page were created with the assistance of AI tools. These elements are designed to enhance the game's presentation but do not affect gameplay or generate content during runtime.
Some of the marketing billboard textures have been created with AI. Image and Logo enhancements with AI tools in Photoshop
Music generated by AI
Some textures and 2D environmental paintings were generated using AI tools during development. These assets are limited to decorative elements only. No generative AI is used during gameplay or for game logic. All final assets were manually reviewed, edited, and integrated.
In-Game Text Creation and Translation: We use AI to create and translate text for in-game content and store descriptions. Program Code Generation: We create and optimize the programming code that implements the game's features and systems.
AI-generated art object
Artificial intelligence was used to create marketing materials.
AI is used for translation.
Some 3D models and visual assets used in the development of this game were created with the assistance of generative AI tools. All AI-generated content has been reviewed, modified, and integrated by the developer to fit the unique style and requirements of the game. There is no real-time AI system operating during gameplay.
Uses AI generated images
The game has used chatgpt's image model with no artist prompts used. The game uses udio for the music.
A few minor decals and minor texture details are generated with AI and then hand-painted onto props.
Cosmetics like logos
Some code and design decisions, aswell as store page assets were lightly assisted by AI tools. All game logic and implementation were written, reviewed, and tested by the developer.
AI was used to create some of the pictures and 3d models.
Most of the soundtrack is generated by AI.
Using AI to generate parts of music and videos
The musics are AI generated :(
Help received for store content
AI is used for a lot of the dialogue, as well as the opening cutscene where Fresh Cut Slim chases Charmx. All use of AI is meant for entertainment only and isn't meant to defame Fresh Cut Slim or his previous alias (Charmx) or portray him in a negative light.
Brainrots are AI monsters. The monster are AI generated
Using AI technology in the game development process, there is no real-time AI performance in the game
Code: None Game Mechanics: None Story: None Gameplay: None 3D models: None 2D graphics: None In-Game Cutscenes: None Movies: Some Video generated from 3D models I made. Music: Some 12 Songs out of over 120. Lyrics are still self-made for these though.
Some of the audio in this game is AI-generated.
Some of the voice actings, some photo images and textures are pre-generated by AI.
some of the game textures generated with AI assisted tools
Artificial intelligence has only been used in marketing visuals.
The capsule and library asset images on the game's store page are all generated by AI and manually modified and produced in the later stage
“Some promotional artwork was AI-assisted and human-edited. No AI is used in gameplay — all in-game content is handcrafted by our team.”
Artificial intelligence was used for a very limited number of in-game assets, such as textures, icons, and audio.
Some marketing visuals and a few in-game elements were generated using artificial intelligence tools, then refined by our team. As a small independent studio, we used these tools to compensate for limited resources and deliver a higher-quality experience, while ensuring the artistic direction and overall coherence of the game were preserved. All content was selected, adapted, and integrated by humans.
The game does not contain AI-generated content. AI-generated content is used just for Store Page Images.
Character voices are AI and also some of the paintings in the scenes were generated using AI tools that I don't know which programs from, as I know they are pre-generated textures.
Some soundtracks are generated by AI
Chibi Wars: Deep State currently uses 3d models and images (such as posters) that have been generated using AI. Our goal is with funding to replace all aspects of models or images produced by AI with products created by real people. I suck at art, so until I can pay someone to make it for me (no one works for free) I have to use AI models and posters (decals).
Using AI models for generating pictures, 3d models e.t.c
We used AI for the game’s language translation descriptions, the Steam capsule image, and some in-game visuals.
Some of the placeholder assets are AI generated
Some item icons have been generated and for better sentence structure.
We used generative AI solely for voice acting purposes in Oblivion. Since our development team consists of two women and we did not have access to a male voice actor, we used AI voice generation tools to create the voice of a male character. No other game content, such as visuals, text, music, or marketing materials, was generated using AI. All final content was created, reviewed, and approved by the human team.
I use AI to generate some sprites/icons and for traduction.
I receive suggestions on how to further optimize the existing code. I also use it for translations into languages other than English and Turkish.
I am using plus licensed ChatGPT AI in order to create some of the Image elements.
Our game uses generative AI exclusively for creating synthetic sounds and voiceovers. These AI-generated audio elements are entirely artificial and are not based on or identifiable with any real individual. We do not use AI for gameplay, narrative, or character design—only for enhancing the audio experience.
We used AI-based image generation tools to create our visual assets (store banners, concept art, and some in-game backgrounds). Voice performances were recorded manually, then processed with AI audio tools to enhance and modulate the actor’s voice (e.g. adjusting thickness and tone). No generative AI is used during actual gameplay or to create code or dialogue in real time.
